1. 1YDDדאס, וואס איז געווען פונם אנהויב אָן, וואס מיר האבן געהערט, וואס מיר האבן געזען מיט אונדזערע אויגן, וואס מיר האבן באטראכט און אונדזערע הענט האבן אנגערירט, וועגן דעם ווארט פון לעבן—BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2YDDאון דאס לעבן איז אנטפלעקט געווארן, און מיר האבן געזען און זאגן עדות און זאגן אייך אָן דאס אייביקע לעבן, וואס איז געווען ביי דעם פאטער און האט זיך באוויזן צו אונדז—BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3YDDוואס מיר האבן געזען און געהערט, דאס זאגן מיר אייך אָן, כדי אויך איר זאלט האבן חברותאשאפט מיט אונדז; און אונדזער חברותאשאפט איז מיט דעם פאטער און מיט זיין זון יהושע/ישוע המשיח;BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4YDDאון דאס שרייבן מיר, כדי אונדזער שמחה זאל ווערן פול.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5YDDאון דאס דאזיקע איז די שמועה, וואס מיר האבן געהערט פון אים און זאגן אייך אָן, אז ה׳ איז ליכט, און קיין שום חושך איז אין אים נישט פאראן.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6YDDווען מיר זאגן, אז מיר האבן חברותאשאפט מיט אים, און גייען אין דער פינצטערניש, זאגן מיר ליגן, און טאן נישט דעם אמת;BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7YDDווען אבער מיר גייען אין דעם ליכט, ווי ער איז אין דעם ליכט, האבן מיר חברותאשאפט איינער מיט דעם אנדערן, און דאס בלוט פון יהושע/ישוע, זיין זון, רייניקט אונדז פון יעדן חטא.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8YDDווען מיר זאגן, אז מיר האבן נישט קיין חטא, באטריגן מיר זיך אליין, און דער אמת איז נישט אין אונדז.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9YDDווען מיר זענען זיך מתוודה אויף אונדזערע זינד, איז ער געטריי און גערעכט אז ער זאל אונדז מוחל זיין די זינד און אונדז רייניקן פון יעדער אומגערעכטיקייט. (משלי כח, יג.)BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10YDDווען מיר זאגן, אז מיר האבן נישט געזינדיקט, מאכן מיר אים פאר א ליגנער, און זיין ווארט איז נישט אין אונדז.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
