2Re nnap nnəna̱n ka̱ nra-ìgwak Inan uPon ku uPonzhi yi uYesu Kəristi a təm nzəng ká̱ wo.Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3Aɗəngchi təm aji Inan chit uPon aPonzhi yi uYesu Kəristi. Uza̱ wa uPon uga nrwa ìgwak. Uwa Inan va nyi asak pa̱ kpaktak.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

4Uwa kà̱ nsak yi ka̱ ashe nkpaktak nɗaktak yi. Ka̱kul na i nyi nsak onəm va̱ ka̱ ashe nza̱ apir nɗaktak nggo ká̱ apir asak va í ya ka̱ atak Inan va sak yi a.who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

5Ka̱kul wa nva i ɓək anung pa̱ zhalat zhalat ka̱kul aKəristi te, wa nnà ta kpa i ya asak pa̱ makmak ka̱ atak aKəristi.For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

6A yà pa̱ ma ka̱ nnyan ka̱ yi te, ya ka̱kul pa̱ na i sak wo. Na o ya nka̱mshi Inan kpa. A yà pa̱ mí sak yi te, ya ka̱kul pa̱ na i nyi nsak wo. Apir asak va i nak wo o ka̱r ìgwak ka̱ apir mɓək anung va̱ mmayi ka̱ nfe ka̱ a.If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which accomplishes in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we experience.

7Igwak kam yi byet ka̱ apal ishi wo. Ka̱kul i nyinyi pa̱ wa nva mmawó ka̱ nfe ka̱ mɓək anung nzəng ka̱ yi te, wa nnà ta í sak owan yi ká̱ izəzər.And our hope for you is sure, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort.

8Ógənang, i ɗom wo pa̱ o təm ka̱ ashe nfo ka̱ apal ishi mɓək anung va̱ i fe ka̱ ka̱ mbin Asiya ka̱t. I ɓək anung pa̱ zhalat zhalat har i rən pa̱ i lár lap ka̱t.We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the hardships we encountered in the province of Asia. We were under a burden far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.

9A nəm ka̱ yi ɓu là pa̱ ma gəl akwali ikú ayi chit. Ka̱ nna kpa te, iya̱m va̱ ta ya yi na a nak kan i təp nkam ká̱ izər yi ka̱t. I təp nkam ká̱ izər yi ka̱t. I təp nkam ká̱ Inan va i won ka̱ onəm-kuku ka̱ atak ikú.Indeed, we felt we were under the sentence of death, in order that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead.

10Uza̱ ka̱mshi yi chit i fa ka̱ ashe nsur mɓá̱ngɓa̱ng ngga ikú. Uza̱ i ka̱mshi yi ka̱m kà̱ɗi i fa ka̱ ashe nsur. Í nak ìgwak yi ku uwa pa̱ uza̱ i ka̱mshi yi ka̱m ka̱ɗí i fa ka̱ ashisheHe has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. In Him we have placed our hope that He will yet again deliver us,

11a yà pa̱ mmawó ka̱ nka̱mshi yi ka̱ atak nnəm aduwa a. Na onəm pa̱ kyak a na ɗəngchi íNan. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the favor shown us in answer to their prayers.

12Iya̱m va ta̱ í lan ká̱ pa̱ shat. Idímɗím ìgwak yi ka̱ nla ayi pa̱ akwam ro ya ka̱ ashe ntəm yi ka̱pambin va̱ ta̱ ka̱t. I nəm pa ká̱ ìgwak pa̱ izən. Akwam ro yà ká̱ ishimshe yi ká̱ Inan ka̱t. Ishimshe yi ká̱ wo te, n-yà akwam va̱ ta ka̱t a dudon jiwo. I nəm iya̱m va̱ ta ka̱ aghan anəm ka̱t. I nəm ka̱ atak ichumchum nnap nnəna̱n Inan.For this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in relation to you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God—not in worldly wisdom, but in the grace of God.

13Mmayi ka̱ nlir awo iya̱m va i ma̱t wo ka̱ nkun, ka̱t te ka̱ nkpán ipipir ka̱t. N nak ìgwak pa̱ o kpán ipipir kpán pa̱ kpaktak.For we do not write you anything that is beyond your ability to read and understand. And I hope that you will understand us completely,

14N-yanmata̱ te, o nyi nnap va̱ ta̱ chit kùr ka̱t. Nna pa̱ ká̱ ilum nvan a Ponzhi-Yesu te, ó nok ka̱ yi pa̱ shat wa nva i ga nlan ká̱ wo a.as you have already understood us in part, that you may boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of our Lord Jesus.

15Ka̱kul pa̱ n nyinyi pa̱ ì yiya wanta te, ka̱ n yar chit pa̱ mi ɓa atak wo mpyal na o ka̱m nnap nnəna̱n nva̱n pa̱ mparəm.Confident of this, I planned to visit you first, so that you might receive a double blessing.

16Ka̱kul ka̱ n yar pa̱ mi ru ngga mbin aMakidoniya te, mi sat ka̱ atak wo kan mi watar. N yar pa̱ mi ru nlele ka̱Makidoniya te, mi sat kà̱ɗi ka̱ atak wo na o re mi ka̱ nre ka̱ mbin a Yahudiya.I wanted to visit you on my way to Macedonia, and to return to you from Macedonia, and then to have you help me on my way to Judea.

17Ka̱ n là pa̱ mi nəm iya̱m va̱ ta te, n là nnap va achu pa̱ parəm ɗakɓo? N nəm iya̱m va̱ ta wa anəm na pa kùk ɗò? Uwa là n à, ka̱t te n o'o ka̱ apal ishi nnap nzəngtəng i ɗak na ka̱t a?When I planned this, did I do it carelessly? Or do I make my plans by human standards, so as to say “Yes, yes” and also “No, no”?

18Wa nva Inan nsar nnap-nləla yə́l awo yə́l, akwam ro yà ka̱ ka̱t te, wa nnà ta kpa iya̱m va̱ i là awo te, apir nnap-nlà ngga nla n à, ka̱ n o'o ka̱ anung zəngtəng ka̱t.But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.”

19Ka̱kul uYa Inan uYesu Kəristi va̱ mmami ka̱ uSilvanus ka̱ uTimoti í là nnənap awo te, nnap-nlà ngga aparpar ngga nla n à, ka̱ n o'o ka̱ anung zəngtəng ro yà ka̱ ashishe ka̱t. Nnandər ngga nsat ka̱ apal nnap-nlà va uza̱ ma̱n ka̱ te, nna chwat ka̱ ashishe.For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was proclaimed among you by me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not “Yes” and “No,” but in Him it has always been “Yes.”

20Ka̱kul nkpaktak nsar nnap-nlà Inan te. a yə́l ka̱ ashe a wà wa nva Inan là. A nak te, i là <<nna a təm.>> Ka̱ ashe aɗin a wà ka̱kul nna ichumchum Înan.For all the promises of God are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him, our “Amen” is spoken to the glory of God.

21Inan uwa ká̱ ishi wò i nak yi nzəng ká̱ wo i tong i kam ka̱ ashe aKəristi. Uza̱ yak yi na inok ayi.Now it is God who establishes both us and you in Christ. He anointed us,

22Uza̱ ɓàp yi chit na a nyám pa̱ mmayi ojini. Uza̱ nak aRuhu wò chit ka̱ ashe igwák yi na a nyám pa̱ kpátkpát pa̱ uza̱ i yə́l nsar nnap-nlà wò yə́l ayi.placed His seal on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a pledge of what is to come.

23Mmami ka̱ ngwór Inan pa̱ a là pa̱ mmami ka̱ nnap akwam nggo ka̱ apal ishi nnap va̱ ta̱. Nna pa̱ mi ɓa aKorinti lap ka̱t ka̱kul pa̱ n ɗom nre wo pa pa̱ kwák a.I call God as my witness that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth.

24Mmayi ka̱ nnyam ichumchum awo ka̱ apal ishi nnap nna nnandər ka̱t. Mmayi ka̱ nnəm inok nzəng ká̱ wo na a nchang ìgwak awo. Ka̱kul o tong kəkam ka̱ ashe nna nnandər wo.Not that we lord it over your faith, but we are fellow workers with you for your joy, because it is by faith that you stand firm.
