1 ULB ሰሎሞንም ለራሱ የሚሆን ቤተ መንግሥት ሠራ፤ ቤተ መንግሥቱንም ለመሥራት ዐሥራ ሦስት ዓመት ፈጀበት፡፡ BSB BSB: Solomon, however, took thirteen years to complete the construction of his entire palace.
2 ULB እርሱም የሊባለኖስ ጫካ ተብሎ የተጠራውን ቤተ መንግሥት ሠራ፡፡ ርዝመቱም ወርዱ አንድ መቶ ክንድ፣ ስፋቱም አምሳ ክንድ፤ ቁመቱም ሠላሳ ክንድ ነበር፡፡ ቤተ መንግሥቱ አራት ረድፍ ሆኖ ከዝግባ እንጨት ምስሶዎች የተሠሩ ሲሆን፣ በምስሶዎቹ ላይ አግዳሚ ሠረገላዎች ተጋድመው ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: He built the House of the Forest of Lebanon a hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high, with four rows of cedar pillars supporting the cedar beams.
3 ULB የእነዚህ ዕቃ ቤቶች ጣራ ከሊባኖስ ዛፍ እንጨት የተሠራ ነበር፡፡ በምስሶዎቹም ላይ በነበሩ አግዳሚዎች ቤቱ በዝግባ ሳንቃ ተሸፍኖ ነበር፡፡ ምስሶዎቹም በአንዱ ረድፍ ዐሥራ አምስት፣ በአንዱ ረድፍም አምስት እየሆኑ አርባ አምስት ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The house was roofed with cedar above the beams that rested on the pillars—forty-five beams, fifteen per row.
4 ULB ትይዩ የሆኑት የሕንፃው ሁለት ግንቦች እያንዳንዳቸው በመደዳ ሦስት፣ ሦስት መስኮቶች ነበሩአቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: There were three rows of high windows facing one another in three tiers.
5 ULB በሮቹና መስኮቶቹ ሁሉ ባለአራት ማእዘን መቃኖች ነበሩአቸው፤ ለእያንዳንዱ ግንብ በረድፍ የተሠሩ ሦስት ሦስት መስኮቶች ነበሩት፤ የእያንዳንዱ ግንብ መስኮቶች ከሌላው ግንብ መስኮቶች ጋር ትይዩ ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: All the doorways had rectangular frames, with the openings facing one another in three tiers.
6 ULB ምሶሶዎች ያሉበትን ቤት ሠራ፤ ርዝመቱም አምሳ ክንድ፣ ስፋቱም ሠላሳ ክንድ ነበረ፤ በእርሱም ፊት ደግሞ ምሶሶና መድረክ ያለበት ወለል ነበረ፡፡ BSB BSB: Solomon made his colonnade fifty cubits long and thirty cubits wide, with a portico in front of it and a canopy with pillars in front of the portico.
7 ULB ሰሎሞን ችሎት ተቀምጦ የፍርድ ውሳኔ የሚሰጥበትም የዙፋን አዳራሽ ሠራ፡፡ ከወለሉ እስከ ጣራው ድረስ ከሊባኖስ ዛፍ እንጨት በተሠራ ሳንቃ የተሸፈነ ነበር፡ BSB BSB: In addition, he built a hall for the throne, the Hall of Justice, where he was to judge. It was paneled with cedar from floor to ceiling.
8 ULB ከችሎቱም አዳራሽ በስተ ኋላ በሚገኘው ሌላ አደባባይ ሰሎሞን የሚኖርበትን ሕንጻ እንደ ሌሎቹ ሕንጻዎች አድርጎ አሠራ፤ የግብጽ ንጉሥ የፈረዖን ልጅ ለነበረቸው ሚስቱም ተመሳሳይ መኖሪያ ቤት አሠራላት፡፡ BSB BSB: And the palace where Solomon would live, set further back, was of similar construction. He also made a palace like this hall for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had married.
9 ULB እነዚህ ሁሉ ሕንፃዎችና ታላቁ አደባባይ ጭምር ከመሠረታቸው እስከ ድምድማታቸው በጥሩ ታላላቅ ድንጋዮች አጊጠው የተሠሩ ነበሩ፣ ድንጋዮቹም በዚያ በድንጋይ መፍለጫ ስፍራ በፊትም በኋላም በልክ ተፈልፍለውና ተጠርበው የመጡ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: All these buildings were constructed with costly stones, cut to size and trimmed with saws inside and out from the foundation to the eaves, and from the outside to the great courtyard.
10 ULB የቤቱ መሠረት የተሠራው በጣም ታላላቅና ውድ በሆኑ ስምንትና ዐሥር ክንድ ርዝመት ባላቸው ድንጋዮች የተሠሩ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: The foundations were laid with large, costly stones, some ten cubits long and some eight cubits long.
11 ULB እነዚህም ውድና በልክ ከተፈለፈሉ ድንጋዮችና ከሊባኖስ ዛፍ እንጨት የተሠሩ አግዳሚ ሠረገሎች ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: Above these were costly stones, cut to size, and cedar beams.
12 ULB የቤተ መንግሥቱ አደባባይ ወደ ቤተ መቅደሱ የሚያስገባው በር በእያንዳንዱ ባለ ሦስት ረድፍ የጥርብ ድንጋይ ሕንፃ ላይ አንዳንድ ረድፍ የሊባኖስ ዛፍ እንጨት ሠረገላ የተጋደመባቸው ግንቦች ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The great courtyard was surrounded by three rows of dressed stone and a row of trimmed cedar beams, as were the inner courtyard and portico of the house of the LORD.
13 ULB ንጉሡ ሰሎሞንም ሔራም የተባለውን ሰው ከጢሮስ ከተማ አመጣ፡፡ BSB BSB: Now King Solomon sent to bring Huram from Tyre.
14 ULB ሔራም እናቱ ባል የሞተባት የንፍታሌም ነገድ ተወላጅ ነበረች፣ አባቱም የጢሮስ ተወላጅ ሲሆን እርሱም ነሐስ አቅልጦ በመሥራት ጥበብ የሠለጠነ ባለሙያ ነበር፡፡ ሔራም በእጅ ጥበብ ብዙ ልምድ ያለው ብልህ ሰው ነበር፤ እርሱም የነሐስ ጥበብ ሥራ ለንጉሡ ለመሥራት ወደ ንጉሥ ሰሎሞን መጣ፡፡ BSB BSB: He was the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a craftsman in bronze. Huram had great skill, understanding, and knowledge for every kind of bronze work. So he came to King Solomon and carried out all his work.
15 ULB ሔራም የእያንዳንዳቸው ቁመት ዐሥራ ስምንት ክንድ፣ የዙሪያ ስፋታቸው ዐሥራ አምስት ክንድ ሁለት የነሐስ ምሶሶዎችን ሠራ፡፡ BSB BSB: He cast two pillars of bronze, each eighteen cubits high and twelve cubits in circumference.
16 ULB እንዲሁም በምሶሶዎቹ ላይ የሚቆሙ የእያንዳንዳቸው ቁመት አምሰት ክንድ የሆነ ሁለት የነሐስ ጉልላቶችን ሠራ፡፡ BSB BSB: He also made two capitals of cast bronze to set on top of the pillars, each capital five cubits high.
17 ULB በምሶሶዎቹም ራስ ላይ የነበሩትን ጉልላቶች ያስጌጡ ዘንድ በሰባት ረድፍ የተሠሩ መረቦችን ሠራ፡፡ አንዱን መረብ ለአንድ ጉልላት ሁለተኛውን መረብ ለሁለተኛው ጉልላት አደረገ፡፡ BSB BSB: For the capitals on top of the pillars he made a network of lattice, with wreaths of chainwork, seven for each capital.
18 ULB ስለዚህም ሔራም ምሶሶዎቹ ጫፍ ላይ ያሉትን ጉልላቶች ለማስጌጥ ሮማኖችን በሁለት ረድፍ ሠራ፡፡ ለየእያንዳንዱም ጉልላት እንዲሁ አደረገ፡፡ BSB BSB: Likewise, he made the pillars with two rows of pomegranates around each grating to cover each capital atop the pillars.
19 ULB በወለሉ ምሶሶዎች አናት ላይ ያሉት ጉልላቶች ቁመታቸው አራት ክንድ ሲሆን የሱፍ አበባን በሚመስል ሥራ ተጊጠው ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: And the capitals atop the pillars in the portico were shaped like lilies, four cubits high.
20 ULB እነርሱም ከመረቡ በላይ ባለው ክብ ስፍራ እንዲቆሙ ተደረገ፤ በእያንዳንዱም ጉልላት ዙሪያ በሁለት ረድፍ የተደረደሩ ሁለት መቶ የሮማን ቅርጾች ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: On the capitals of both pillars, just above the rounded projection next to the network, were the two hundred pomegranates in rows encircling each capital.
21 ULB ሔራም ከነሐስ የተሠሩትን ሁለት ምስሶዎች በቤተ መቅደሱ መግቢያ በር ፊት ለፊት አቆማቸው፡፡ ከቤተ መቅደሱም መግቢያ በር በስተደቡብ በኩል የቆመው ምሶሶ «ያኪን» ተብሎ ተጠራ፤ በስተ ሰሜን በኩል የቆመው ምሶሶ ደግሞ «ቦዔዝ» ተባለ፡፡ BSB BSB: Thus he set up the pillars at the portico of the temple. The pillar to the south he named Jachin, and the pillar to the north he named Boaz.
22 ULB በምሶሶዎቹ ጫፍ ላይ የሱፍ አበባ የሚመስሉ ከነሐስ የተሠሩ ጉልላቶች ነበሩ፡፡ የምስሶዎቹም ሥራ በዚህ ዓይነት ተፈጸመ፡፡ BSB BSB: And the tops of the pillars were shaped like lilies. So the work of the pillars was completed.
23 ULB ሔራም ዐሥር ክንድ ጥልቀት፣ የክብ ማእከል ርዝመት አምስት ክንድ ዙሪያ ያለው አንድ ክብ ገንዳ ከነሐስ ሠራ፡፡ ባሕሩም ዙሪያው ሠላሳ ክንድ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: He also made the Sea of cast metal. It was circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim, five cubits in height, and thirty cubits in circumference.
24 ULB የገንዳው አፍ ውጪኣዊ ክፈፍ ሁሉ ከገንዳው ጋር አንድ ወጥ ሆነው በቅል አምሳል ከነሐስ የተሠሩና በሁለት ረድፍ የተደረደሩ ቅርጾች ነበሩት፡፡ BSB BSB: Below the rim, ornamental buds encircled it, ten per cubit all the way around the Sea, cast in two rows as a part of the Sea.
25 ULB ገንዳውም ከነሐስ በተሠሩ ዐሥራ ሁለት የበሬ ምስሎች ጀርባ ላይ ተቀመጠ። ኮርማዎቹም በየአቅጣጫው ፊታቸውን ወደ ውጪ መልሰው ሦስቱ ወደ ሰሜን፤ ሦስቱ ወደ ደቡብ፣ ሦስቱ ወደ ምሥራቅ፣ ሦስቱ ወደ ምዕራብ የሚመለከቱ ይመስሉ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: The Sea stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The Sea rested on them, with all their hindquarters toward the center.
26 ULB የገንዳውም ጎኖች ውፍረት አንድ መዳፍ ነበር፤ የጽዋ ቅርጽ ያለው አበባ የሚመስል የአፉ ክፈፍ የሱፍ አበባ ቅርጽ ነበረው፤ ይህም ገንዳ አርባ ሺህ ሊትር ያህል ውሃ የሚይዝ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: It was a handbreadth thick, and its rim was fashioned like the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It could hold two thousand baths.
27 ULB ሔራም ዐሥር መቀመጫዎችን ከነሐስ ሠራ፡፡ የእያንዳንዱ ርዝመት አራት ክንድ፣ ቁመቱ አራት ክንድ፣ ሦስት ክንድ ስፋት ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: In addition, he made ten movable stands of bronze, each four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three cubits high.
28 ULB የመቀመጫዎቹ ሥራም እንዲህ ነበር፡፡ የዕቃ መቀመጫዎቹም የተሠሩት በክንፎቹ መካከል ልሙጥ በሆነ ነገር ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: This was the design of the stands: They had side panels attached to uprights,
29 ULB ልሙጥ በሆነውም ነገር ላይ በአንበሶች፣ በበሬዎችና በኪሩቤል አምሳል የተቀረፁ ምስሎች ነበሩ፡፡ ከአንበሶቹ፣ ከበሬዎቹና ከኪሩቤሉ ቅርፆች ራስጌና ግርጌ የአበባ ጉንጉን የሚመስሉ ቅርፆች ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: and on the panels between the uprights were lions, oxen, and cherubim. On the uprights was a pedestal above, and below the lions and oxen were wreaths of beveled work.
30 ULB እያንዳንዱ የዕቃ ማስቀመጫ ከነሐስ የተሠሩ አራት መንኮራኩሮች ነበሩባቸው፡፡ መንኮራኩሮቹም የሚሽከረከሩበት የነሐስ ወስከምቶች ነበራቸው፤ እንዲሁም በአራቱ ማእዘኖች የመታጠቢያ ገንዳ መደገፊያዎች ነበሩ፤ መደገፊያዎቹም የአበባ ጉንጉን በሚመስሉ ቅርፆች አጊጠው ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: Each stand had four bronze wheels with bronze axles and a basin resting on four supports, with wreaths at each side.
31 ULB የመታጠቢያ ገንዳውም አንገት አንድ ክንድ ነበር፤ እርሱም ክብ ነበር፤ ቁመቱም አንድ ክንድ ነበር፤ በአንገቱም ላይ ማስጌጫ ቅርፅ ነበረበት፤ የገንዳው ተሸካሚ ግን አራት ማእዘን ነበር እንጂ ክብ አልነበረም፡፡ BSB BSB: The opening to each stand inside the crown at the top was one cubit deep, with a round opening like the design of a pedestal, a cubit and a half wide. And around its opening were engravings, but the panels of the stands were square, not round.
32 ULB የመንኮራኩሮቹም ቁመት አንድ ተኩል ክንድ ነበር፤ መንኮራኩሮችም በዕቃ ማስቀመጫው ጠፍጣፋ ነሐስ ሥር ነበሩ፤ የመንኮራኩሮቹም ወስከምቶች ከዕቃ ማስቀመጫዎቹ ጋር አንድ ወጥ ሆነው የተሠሩ ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: There were four wheels under the panels, and the axles of the wheels were attached to the stand; each wheel was a cubit and a half in diameter.
33 ULB መንኮራኩሮቹም የሠረገላ መንኮራኩሮችን ይመስሉ ነበር፡፡ ወስከምቶቻቸው፣ ቅርጾቻቸውና አቃፊዎቻቸው ሁሉም ከብረት ቀልጠው የተሠሩ ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The wheels were made like chariot wheels; their axles, rims, spokes, and hubs were all of cast metal.
34 ULB እያንዳንዱ የዕቃ ማስቀመጫ አራት ማእዘን በየግርጌአቸው ከእነርሱ ጋር አንድ ወጥ ሆነው ከነሐስ የተሠሩ አራት ደጋፊዎች ነበሩአቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Each stand had four handles, one for each corner, projecting from the stand.
35 ULB በእያንዳንዱ የዕቃ ማስቀመጫ ጫፍ ዙሪያ ክፈፍ ላይ ተኩል ክንድ ርዝመት ያለው አንድ ክብ ቅርፅ ነበር፤ መደገፊያዎቹና ጠፍጣፋ ነሐሶቹ ከዕቃ ማስቀመጫው ጋር አንድ ወጥ ሆነው የተሠሩ ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: At the top of each stand was a circular band half a cubit high. The supports and panels were cast as a unit with the top of the stand.
36 ULB በእነዚህ መደገፊያዎችና ጠፍጣፋ ነሐሶች መካከል ባለው ክፍት ቦታ ሁሉ በኪሩቤል፣ በአንበሶችና በዘንባባ ዛፎች አምሳል ሔራም ሠራቸው፡፡ እንዲሁም ዙሪያቸው የአበባ ጉንጉን በሚመስሉ ቅርፆች አጊጠው ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: He engraved cherubim, lions, and palm trees on the surfaces of the supports and panels, wherever each had space, with wreaths all around.
37 ULB እንግዲህ ዐሥሩን ባለመንኩራኩር የዕቃ ማስቀመጫዎች የሠራቸው በዚህ ዓይነት ነበር፡፡ መጠናቸውና ቅርፃቸው እኩል ስለተቀረጹ ሁሉም ተመሣሣይ ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: In this way he made the ten stands, each with the same casting, dimensions, and shape.
38 ULB ሔራም ለእያንዳንዱ የዕቃ ማስቀመጫ ዐሥር የነሐስ መታጠቢያ ገንዳዎች ሠራ፡፡ የእያንዳንዱ ገንዳ ዙሪያ አጋማሽ ስፋት አራት ክንድ ያህል ሲሆን፣ አርባ ሊትር ያህል ውሃ ይይዝ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: He also made ten bronze basins, each holding forty baths and measuring four cubits across, one basin for each of the ten stands.
39 ULB ሔራም አምስቱን የዕቃ ማስቀመጫዎች ከቤተ መቅደሱ በስተደቡብ፣ የቀሩትንም አምስቱን ከቤተ መቅደሱ በስተሰሜን በኩል አቆመ፡፡ ገንዳውን ደግሞ በቤተ መቅደሱ ደቡባዊ ምሥራቅ ማእዘን ላይ አቆመው፡፡ BSB BSB: He set five stands on the south side of the temple and five on the north, and he put the Sea on the south side, at the southeast corner of the temple.
40 ULB ሔራምም ድስቶችን፣ መጫሪያዎችንና ጎድጓዳ ሳህኖችን ሠራ፡፡ በዚህ ዓይነትም ለንጉሥ ሰለሞን ሊሠራለት የጀመረውን የእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ ሥራ ፈጸመ፡፡ BSB BSB: Additionally, Huram made the pots, shovels, and sprinkling bowls. So Huram finished all the work that he had undertaken for King Solomon in the house of the LORD:
41 ULB ሁለቱ ምሰሶዎች፣ በምሶሶዎቹም ላይ የነበሩትን ጉልላቶች የሚመስሉ ሳህኖችን፣ በምሶሶውም ላይ የነበሩትን ሁለቱን ጉልላቶች የሚሸፍኑትን ሁለቱን መረቦች ሠራ፡፡ BSB BSB: the two pillars; the two bowl-shaped capitals atop the pillars; the two sets of network covering both bowls of the capitals atop the pillars;
42 ULB በእያንዳንዱ ጉልላት ላይ በመረብ አምሳል የተሠሩት ሰንሰለቶች፣ በእያንዳንዱ ጉልላት ቅርፅ ላይ በሁለት ዘርፍ አንዳንድ መቶ ዙር የሆኑ ከነሐስ የተሠሩ አራት መቶ የሮማን ቅርፆችን ሠራ፡፡ BSB BSB: the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of network (two rows of pomegranates for each network covering both the bowl-shaped capitals atop the pillars);
43 ULB ዐሥሩ ባለመንኮራኩር የዕቃ ማስቀመጫዎች፣ ዐሥሩ የመታጠቢያ ገንዳዎች ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: the ten stands; the ten basins on the stands;
44 ULB ውሃ ማጠራቀሚያ ገንዳ፣ ገንዳውን ደግፈው የሚይዙ የዐሥራ ሁለቱን በሬዎች ቅርፅ ሠራ፡፡ BSB BSB: the Sea; the twelve oxen underneath the Sea;
45 ULB ድስቶቹን፣ መጫሪያዎቹንና ጎድጓዳ ሳህኖቹን ሠራ፡፡ ሌሎችንም ለእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ አገልግሎት ይውሉ ዘንድ ሔራም እነዚህን ሁሉ ዕቃዎች ለሰለሞን የሠራለት ከተወለወለ ንፁህ ነሐስ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: and the pots, shovels, and sprinkling bowls. All the articles that Huram made for King Solomon in the house of the LORD were made of burnished bronze.
46 ULB ንጉሥ ሰለሞን እነዚህን ሁሉ ያሠራው በዮርዳኖስ ሸለቆ በሱኮትና ጻርታን መካከል በሚገኘው በሸክላ ስፍራ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: The king had them cast in clay molds in the plain of the Jordan between Succoth and Zarethan.
47 ULB ከነሐስ የተሠራው ይህ ሁሉ ዕቃ እጅግ ብዙ ስለ ነበር፣ ሰለሞን በሚዛን እንዲለካ አላደረገውም፣ ስለዚህ ክብደቱ ምን ያህል እንደሆነ ተወስኖ አልታወቀም፡፡ BSB BSB: Solomon left all these articles unweighed, because there were so many. The weight of the bronze could not be determined.
48 ULB ለእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ አገልግሎት ይውሉ ዘንድ ሰለሞን ያሠራቸው ዕቃዎች ሁሉ በንጹሕ ወርቅ ያጌጡ ነበሩ፡፡ እነርሱም የወርቁ መሠዊያ፣ ለእግዚአብሔር የሚቀርበው ኅብስት ማኖሪያ የወርቅ ጠረጴዛ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Solomon also made all the furnishings for the house of the LORD: the golden altar; the golden table on which was placed the Bread of the Presence;
49 ULB በቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑ ፊት ለፊት አምስቱ በስተደቡብ፣ አምስቱ ደግሞ በስተ ሰሜን የሚቀመጡት ዐሥሩ የወርቅ መቅረዞች፣ አበባዎች፣ የመብራት ቀንዲሎች፣ የእሳት መቆስቆሻዎች ሁሉ ከወርቅ የተሠሩ ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: the lampstands of pure gold in front of the inner sanctuary, five on the right side and five on the left; the gold flowers, lamps, and tongs;
50 ULB ሰሎሞንም ጽዋዎችን፣ የአመድ ማጠራቀሚያዎችን፣ ጎድጓዳ ሳህኖችን፣ የዕጣን ማቅረቢያ ሳህኖችን፣ ማንደጃዎችን፣ ለቅድስተ ቅዱሳን በሮችንና ለቤተ መቅደሱ ውጪኣዊ በሮች የሚያገለግሉ ማጠፊያዎችን ከንጹሕ ወርቅ አሠራ፡፡ BSB BSB: the pure gold basins, wick trimmers, sprinkling bowls, ladles, and censers; and the gold hinges for the doors of the inner temple (that is, the Most Holy Place) as well as for the doors of the main hall of the temple.
51 ULB በዚህ ዓይነት ንጉሥ ሰለሞን የቤተ መቅደሱን ሥራ ሁሉ ከፈጸመ በኋላ አባቱ ዳዊት ለእግዚአብሔር ቤት አገልግሎት እንዲውል የለየውን ብሩን፣ ወርቁንና ሌላውንም ዕቃ በሙሉ በእግዚአብሔር ቤተ መቅደስ ግምጃ ቤት ውስጥ አኖረው፡፡ BSB BSB: So all the work that King Solomon had performed for the house of the LORD was completed. Then Solomon brought in the items his father David had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
