1 ULB ከዚህ በኋላ ዳዊት ፍልስጥኤማውያንን ወጋቸው ድልም አደረጋቸው፡፡ ስለዚህ ዳዊት ጋትና መንደሮችዋን ከፍልስጥኤማውያን ቁጥጥር ነጻ አወጣት፡፡ BSB BSB: Some time later, David defeated the Philistines, subdued them, and took Metheg-ammah from the hand of the Philistines.
2 ULB ከዚያ በኋላም ዳዊት ሞዓባውያንን ድል አደረገ፤ በመሬት ላይ አጋድሞ በገመድ ለካቸው፤ በገመድ ከተለኩትም ሁለት እጅ ሲገድል፣ አንድ እጅ ግን በሕይወት ይተው ነበር፡፡ ስለዚህ ሞዓባውያን የዳዊት አገልጋዮች ሆኑ፣ ግብርም ገበሩለት፡፡ BSB BSB: David also defeated the Moabites, made them lie down on the ground, and measured them off with a cord. He measured off with two lengths those to be put to death, and with one length those to be spared. So the Moabites became subject to David and brought him tribute.
3 ULB ከዚህ በኋላ ደዊት በኤፍራጥስ ወንዝ አጠገብ ያለውን ግዛቱን ለማስመለስ ይጓዝ በነበረበት ጊዜ የሱባን ንጉሥ የረአብን ልጅ አድርአዛርን ድል አደረገው፡፡ BSB BSB: David also defeated Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, who had marched out to restore his dominion along the Euphrates River.
4 ULB ዳዊትም ከእርሱ ላይ 1700 ሠረገሎችና 20, 000 እግረኞች ማረከ፡፡ ለመቶ ሠረገሎች የሚሆኑትን አስቀርቶ ዳዊት የሠረገሎቹን ፈረሶች ሁሉ ቋንጃዎች ቆረጠ፡፡ BSB BSB: David captured from him a thousand chariots, seven thousand charioteers, and twenty thousand foot soldiers, and he hamstrung all the horses except a hundred he kept for the chariots.
5 ULB ከደማስቆ አራማውያን የሱባን ንጉሥ አድርአዛርን ለመርዳት በመጡ ጊዜ ሃያ ሁለት ሺህ አራማውያን ሰዎችን ገደለ፡፡ BSB BSB: When the Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand of their men.
6 ULB ከዚያም የደማስቆ ክፍል በሆነው በአራም የጦር ሰፈሮችን አቋቋመ፤ አራማውያንም ለእርሱ አገልጋዮች ሆነው ተገዙለት፣ ግብርም ገበሩለት፡፡ ዳዊት በሄደበት ሁሉ እግዚአብሔር ድልን ሰጠው፡፡ BSB BSB: Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to David and brought him tribute. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.
7 ULB የአድርአዛር አገልጋዮች ይዘዋቸው የነበሩትን የወርቅ ጋሻዎች ዳዊት ወሰዳቸው ወደ ኢየሩሳሌምም አመጣቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: And David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 ULB ቤጣህና ቤሮታይ ከተባሉ ከአድርአዛር ከተሞችም ዳዊት እጅግ ብዙ ናስ ወሰደ፡፡ BSB BSB: And from Betah and Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a large amount of bronze.
9 ULB የሐማት ንጉሥ ቶዑ ዳዊት መላውን የአድርአዛርን ሠራዊት ድል ማድረጉን በሰማ ጊዜ፣ BSB BSB: When King Toi of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer,
10 ULB ዳዊት ከአድርአዛር ጋር ስለ ተዋጋና ድል ስላደረገው ደግሞም አድርአዛር ከቶዑ ጋር ተዋግቶ ስለ ነበረ፣ ቶዑ ልጁን ዮራምን ሰላምታ ይሰጠው ዘንድና ይባርከው ዘንድ ወደ ዳዊት ላከው፡፡ ዮራምም ከእርሱ ጋር የብር፣ የወርቅና የናስ ዕቃዎች ይዞ መጣ፡፡ BSB BSB: he sent his son Joram to greet King David and bless him for fighting and defeating Hadadezer, who had been at war with Toi. Joram brought with him articles of silver and gold and bronze,
11 ULB ንጉሥ ዳዊትም ድል ካደረጋቸው መንግሥታት ሁሉ ማለትም BSB BSB: and King David dedicated these to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had dedicated from all the nations he had subdued—
12 ULB ከአራም፣ ከሞዓብ፣ የአሞን ሕዝብ፣ ከፍልስጥኤማውያን ከአማሌቅ እንዲሁም ከሱባ ንጉሥ ከረአብ ልጅ ከአድርአዛር ከበዘበዛቸው ዕቃዎችና ካገኛቸው ብርና ወርቅ ጋር እነዚህን ለእግዚአብሔር ቀደሰ፡፡ BSB BSB: from Edom and Moab, from the Ammonites and Philistines and Amalekites, and from the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 ULB ዳዊት የጨው ሸለቆ በተባለው ስፍራ ከአሥራ ስምንት ሺህ ሰዎቻቸው ጋር የነበሩትን አራማውያንን ድል አድርጎ ከተመለሰ በኋላ ስሙ ገነነ፡፡ BSB BSB: And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
15 ULB ዳዊት በመላው እስራኤል ላይ ነገሠ፤ ሕዝቡንም ሁሉ በፍትሐዊነትና በጽድቅ አስተዳደረ፡፡ BSB BSB: Thus David reigned over all Israel and administered justice and righteousness for all his people:
16 ULB የጽሩያ ልጅ ኢዮአብ የሠራዊቱ አለቃ ሲሆን፣ የአሒሉድ ልጅ ኢዮሣፍጥም ታሪክ ጸሐፊ ነበረ፡፡ BSB BSB: Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;
17 ULB የአኪጦብ ልጅ ሳዶቅና የአብያታር ልጅ አቢሜሌክ ካህናት ሲሆኑ፣ ሠራያ ጸሐፊ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests; Seraiah was the scribe;
18 ULB የዮዳሔ ልጅ በናያስ የከሊታውያንና የፈሊታውያን አለቃ ሲሆን፣ የዳዊት ወንዶች ልጆች ደግሞ የንጉሡ ተቀዳሚ አማካሪዎች ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were priestly leaders.
