1. 1ULBበበዓለ ኀምሳ ቀን ሁሉም በአንድነት አንድ ስፍራ ላይ ነበሩ።BSBBSB: When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
2. 2ULBድንገት እንደ ኀይለኛ ዐውሎ ነፋስ ያለ ድምፅ ከሰማይ መጣ፤ ተቀምጠውበት የነበረውን ቤትም ሞላው።BSBBSB: Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3. 3ULBእንደ እሳት የተከፋፈሉ ልሳናት ታዩአቸው፤ በእያንዳንዳቸው ላይም ተቀመጡባቸው።BSBBSB: They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
4. 4ULBሁሉም መንፈስ ቅዱስን ተሞሉ፤ መንፈስ ቅዱስ እንዲናገሩ እንደ ሰጣቸውም በሌሎች ቋንቋዎች መናገር ጀመሩ።BSBBSB: And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
5. 5ULBበዚያን ጊዜ ከሰማይ በታች ካለው ሕዝብ ሁሉ የመጡ፣ እግዚአብሔርን የሚፈሩ ሰዎች፣ በኢየሩሳሌም የሚኖሩ አይሁድ ነበሩ።BSBBSB: Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.
6. 6ULBይህ ድምፅ ሲሰማ፣ ብዙ ሕዝብ በአንድነት ተሰበሰበ፣ እያንዳንዱ ሰውም በገዛ ራሱ ቋንቋ ሲናገሩ በመስማቱ ግራ ተጋባ።BSBBSB: And when this sound rang out, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking his own language.
7. 7ULBሕዝቡ ተደነቁ፤ ተገረሙም፤ “እነዚህ የሚናገሩ ሰዎች ሁሉ በእውነት የገሊላ ሰዎች አይደሉምን? ብለውም ተናገሩ።BSBBSB: Astounded and amazed, they asked, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
8. 8ULBእያንዳንዳቸው በተወለድንበት ቋንቋ ሲናገሩ የምንሰማቸው ለምንድን ነው?BSBBSB: How is it then that each of us hears them in his own native language?
9. 9ULBየጳርቴና፣ የሜድና የኢላሜጥ ሰዎች፣ በመስጴጦምያም፣ በይሁዳም፣ በቀጰዶቅያም፣ በጳንጦስም፣ በእስያም፣BSBBSB: Parthians, Medes, and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
10. 10ULBበፍርግያም፣ በጵንፍልያም፣ በግብፅም፣ በቀሬና በኩል በሚገኙት የሊቢያ ክፍሎች የምንኖርም፣ ከሮም የመጣን፣BSBBSB: Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome,
11. 11ULBአይሁድና ወደ ይሁዲነት የገባን ቀርጤሳውያንና ዐረባውያን የሆንን እኛም፣ እነዚህ ሰዎች ስለ እግዚአብሔር ታላላቅ ሥራዎች በራሳችን ቋንቋዎች ሲናገሩ እንሰማቸዋለን።"BSBBSB: both Jews and converts to Judaism; Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”
12. 12ULBሁሉም ተደነቁ፣ ግራ ተጋቡም፤ እርስ በርሳቸውም፣ “ይህ ነገር ምን ይሆን?” ተባባሉ።BSBBSB: Astounded and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”
13. 13ULBሌሎች ግን፣ “ዐዲስ ወይን ጠጅ ጠጥተው ጠግበው ነው” ብለውም በማፌዝ ተናገሩ።BSBBSB: But others mocked them and said, “They are drunk on new wine!”
14. 14ULBነገር ግን ጴጥሮስ ከዐሥራ አንዱ ጋር ቆሞ፣ ድምፁን ከፍ በማድረግ እንደዚህ አላቸው፤ “የይሁዳ ሰዎችና በኢየሩሳሌም የምትኖሩ ሁሉ፣ ይህ ለእናንተ የታወቀ ይሁን፤ የምናገረውንም አድምጡ።BSBBSB: Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, lifted up his voice, and addressed the crowd: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen carefully to my words.
15. 15ULBእነዚህ ሰዎች እናንተ እንደምታስቡት አልሰከሩም፤ ምክንያቱም ገና ከቀኑ ሦስተኛ ሰዓት ነው።BSBBSB: These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It is only the third hour of the day!
16. 16ULBነገር ግን በነቢዩ በኢዩኤል ይህ ተነግሯል፦BSBBSB: No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17. 17ULB‘በመጨረሻዎቹ ቀናት ይህ ይሆናል፣’ እግዚአብሔር እንደዚህ ይላል፤ ‘መንፈሴን ሥጋ በለበሱ ሁሉ ላይ አፈስሳለሁ፣ ወንዶች ልጆቻችሁና ሴቶች ልጆቻችሁ ትንቢት ይናገራሉ። ወጣቶቻችሁ ራእይ ያያሉ፤ ሽማግሌዎቻችሁም ሕልም ያልማሉ።BSBBSB: ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
18. 18ULBበአገልጋዮቼና በሴት አገልጋዮቼ ላይም በእነዚያ ቀናት መንፈሴን አፈስሳለሁ፤ እነርሱም ትንቢት ይናገራሉ።BSBBSB: Even on My menservants and maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.
19. 19ULBበላይ በሰማይ ድንቆችን፣ ምልክቶችንም በታች በምድር ላይ፣ ደምን፣ እሳትንና የጢስ ደመናን አሳያለሁ።BSBBSB: I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20. 20ULBታላቁና ገናናው የጌታ ቀን ከመምጣቱ በፊት፣ ፀሓይ ወደ ጨለማነት፣ ጨረቃም ወደ ደምነት ይለወጣሉ።BSBBSB: The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious Day of the Lord.
21. 21ULBየጌታን ስም የሚጠራ ሁሉ ይድናል።'BSBBSB: And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
22. 22ULBየእስራኤል ሰዎች ሆይ፣ እነዚህን ቃሎች ስሙ፦ ራሳችሁ እንደምታውቁት የናዝሬቱ ኢየሱስ፣ በመካከላችሁ እግዚአብሔር በእርሱ በኩል ባደረጋቸው ታላላቅ ተግባራት፣ በተኣምራትና በምልክቶች፣ ከእግዚአብሔር ለእናንተ መገለጡ የተረጋገጠ ሰው ነው።BSBBSB: Men of Israel, listen to this message: Jesus of Nazareth was a man certified by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did among you through Him, as you yourselves know.
23. 23ULBአስቀድሞ በተወሰነው የእግዚአብሔር ዕቅድና በቀዳሚ ዕውቀቱ መሠረት፣ ዐልፎ ተሰጥቶአል፤ እናንተም በዐመፀኞች እጅ ሰቀላችሁት፤ ገደላችሁትም፤BSBBSB: He was delivered up by God’s set plan and foreknowledge, and you, by the hands of the lawless, put Him to death by nailing Him to the cross.
24. 24ULBእግዚአብሔርም የሞትን ጣር ከእርሱ አጥፍቶ አስነሣው፤ ምክንያቱም ሞት እርሱን ይይዘው ዘንድ አልቻለም።BSBBSB: But God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep Him in its grip.
25. 25ULBዳዊት ስለ እርሱ እንዲህ ብሎ ይናገራልና፦ ‘ጌታን ሁልጊዜ በፊቴ አየሁት፤ በቀኜ ነውና አልናወጥም።BSBBSB: David says about Him: ‘I saw the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
26. 26ULBስለዚህ ልቤ ተደሰተ፤ አንደበቴም ሐሤት አደረገ። ሥጋዬም በተስፋ ያድራል።BSBBSB: Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will dwell in hope,
27. 27ULBነፍሴን በሲኦል አትተዋትም፤ ቅዱስህም መበስበስን እንዲያይ አትፈቅድም።BSBBSB: because You will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay.
28. 28ULBየሕይወትን መንገድ ገለጥህልኝ፤ በፊትህም ደስታን ታጠግበኛለህ።’BSBBSB: You have made known to me the paths of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence.’
29. 29ULBወንድሞች ሆይ፣ ስለ አባቶች አለቃ ስለ ዳዊት በግልጽ ልነግራችሁ እችላለሁ፤ እርሱ ሞቶአል፤ ተቀብሮአልም፤ መቃብሩም እስከ ዛሬ ድረስ በእኛ ዘንድ ነው።BSBBSB: Brothers, I can tell you with confidence that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
30. 30ULBስለዚህ ዳዊት ነቢይ ነበረና ከዘሩ በዙፋኑ ላይ አንድን ሰው እንደሚያስቀምጥ እግዚአብሔር በመሐላ ለእርሱ ቃል ገብቶለት ነበር።BSBBSB: But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that He would place one of his descendants on his throne.
31. 31ULBዳዊት ይህን አስቀድሞ አየ፤ ስለ ክርስቶስ ትንሣኤም ተናገረ፦ ክርስቶስ በሲኦል አልቀረም፤ ሥጋውም መበስበስን አላየም።BSBBSB: Foreseeing this, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His body see decay.
32. 32ULBይህን ኢየሱስን እግዚአብሔር አስነሣው፤ ለዚህም እኛ ሁላችን ምስክሮች ነን።BSBBSB: God has raised this Jesus to life, to which we are all witnesses.
33. 33ULBስለዚህ ከሙታን በመነሣትና በእግዚአብሔር ቀኝ በመቀመጥ፣ ከአብ ቃል የተገባውን መንፈስ ቅዱስን ተቀብሎ፣ እናንተ የምታዩትንና የምትሰሙትን ይህን አፈሰሰው።BSBBSB: Exalted, then, to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
34. 34ULBዳዊት ወደ ሰማይ አልወጣም፤ ነገር ግን እንዲህ ይላል፦ “ጌታ ለጌታዬ፣ ጠላቶችህን ለእግርህ መርገጫ እስከማደርጋቸው ድረስ በቀኜ ተቀመጥ አለው።”BSBBSB: For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand
35. 36ULBስለዚህ፣ እናንተ የሰቀላችሁትን ይህን ኢየሱስን እግዚአብሔር ጌታም ክርስቶስም እንዳደረገው የእስራኤል ወገን ሁሉ በእርግጥ ይወቅ።"BSBBSB: Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ!”
36. 37ULBሕዝቡ ይህን ሲሰሙ ልባቸው ተነካና ለጴጥሮስና ለቀሩት ሐዋርያት፣ “ወንድሞች ሆይ፣ ምን እናድርግ?” አሉ።BSBBSB: When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and asked Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
37. 38ULBጴጥሮስም እንዲህ አላቸው፤ “ንስሓ ግቡ፤ እያንዳንዳችሁም ለኀጢአታችሁ ይቅርታ በኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስም ተጠመቁ፤ መንፈስ ቅዱስንም በስጦታነት ትቀበላላችሁ።BSBBSB: Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
38. 39ULBየተስፋው ቃል ለእናንተና ለልጆቻችሁ፣ ጌታ አምላካችን ለሚጠራቸው ሩቅ ላሉት ሁሉም ነውና።”BSBBSB: This promise belongs to you and your children and to all who are far off—to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
39. 40ULBጴጥሮስ በሌሎች ብዙ ቃላት መሰከረ፤ “ከዚህ ክፉ ትውልድ ራሳችሁን አድኑ” በማለትም አስጠነቀቃቸው።BSBBSB: With many other words he testified, and he urged them, “Be saved from this corrupt generation.”
40. 41ULBከዚያም ሕዝቡ ቃሉን ተቀብለው ተጠመቁ፤ በዚያም ቀን ሦስት ሺሕ ያህል ሰዎች ተጨመሩ።BSBBSB: Those who embraced his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to the believers that day.
41. 42ULBእነርሱም ሐዋርያት በሚያስተምሩት ትምህርትና በኅብረት፣ እንጀራውን በመቊረስና በጸሎትም ይተጉ ነበር።BSBBSB: They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
42. 43ULBበሰው ሁሉ ላይ ፍርሀት መጣ፤ ብዙ ድንቆችና ምልክቶችም በሐዋርያት እጅ ተደረጉ።BSBBSB: A sense of awe came over everyone, and the apostles performed many wonders and signs.
43. 44ULBያመኑት ሁሉ በአንድነት ነበሩ፤ ሁሉም ነገር የጋራ ነበር፤BSBBSB: All the believers were together and had everything in common.
44. 45ULBመሬታቸውንና ንብረታቸውን እየሸጡም ለሁሉም እንደሚያስፈልገው አካፈሉ።BSBBSB: Selling their possessions and goods, they shared with anyone who was in need.
45. 46ULBበየቀኑም በአንድ ዐላማ በመቅደስ እየተጉ፣ በቤት ውስጥ እንጀራ እየቈረሱም ምግብን ልባዊ በሆነ ደስታና ትሕትና ዐብረው ይመገቡ ነበር፤BSBBSB: With one accord they continued to meet daily in the temple courts and to break bread from house to house, sharing their meals with gladness and sincerity of heart,
46. 47ULBእግዚአብሔርን አመሰገኑ፤ በሕዝቡም ሁሉ ዘንድ ከበሬታ ነበራቸው። ጌታም የሚድኑትን በየቀኑ በእነርሱ ላይ ይጨምር ነበር።BSBBSB: praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
