1. 1ULBቴዎፍሎስ ሆይ፣ ኢየሱስ እስካረገበት ቀን ድረስ ለማድረግና ለማስተማር የጀመረውን ሁሉ የሚናገረውን የመጀመሪያውን መጽሐፍ ጻፍሁ፤BSBBSB: In my first book, O Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach,
2. 2ULBይህም የሆነው ጌታ ኢየሱስ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ አማካይነት እርሱ የመረጣቸውን ሐዋርያትን ካዘዛቸው በኋላ ነበር፤BSBBSB: until the day He was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen.
3. 3ULBለምርጦቹ ከመከራው በኋላ ሕያው ሆኖ ተገልጦላቸዋል። አርባ ቀን እየታያቸው፣ ስለ እግዚአብሔር መንግሥትም እየተናገረ ቆየ።BSBBSB: After His suffering, He presented Himself to them with many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a span of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
4. 4ULBከእነርሱም ጋር ዐብሮ ሳለ ከኢየሩሳሌም እንዳይወጡ አዘዛቸው፤ ነገር ግን "ከእኔ የሰማችሁትን አብ የሰጠውን ተስፋ ጠብቁ፤BSBBSB: And while they were gathered together, He commanded them: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift the Father promised, which you have heard Me discuss.
5. 5ULBበእርግጥ ዮሐንስ በውሃ አጥምቆ ነበር፤ እናንተ ግን በጥቂት ቀናት ውስጥ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ትጠመቃላችሁ" አለ።BSBBSB: For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
6. 6ULBሐዋርያት በአንድነት ተሰብስበው ሳለ፣ “ጌታ ሆይ፣ ይህ የእስራኤልን መንግሥት የምትመልስበት ጊዜ ነውን?” ብለው ጠየቁት።BSBBSB: So when they came together, they asked Him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7. 7ULBእርሱም እንደዚህ አላቸው፤ “አብ በገዛ ሥልጣኑ የወሰነውን ጊዜ ወይም ወቅት ማወቅ እናንተን አይመለከትም።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority.
8. 8ULBነገር ግን መንፈስ ቅዱስ በእናንተ ላይ ሲመጣ፣ ኀይልን ትቀበላላችሁ፤ በኢየሩሳሌምና በይሁዳ ሁሉ፣ በሰማርያና እስከ ምድር ዳርቻ ምስክሮቼ ትሆናላችሁ።”BSBBSB: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9. 9ULBጌታ ኢየሱስ እነዚህን ነገሮች ከተናገረ በኋላ፣ ሐዋርያቱ እያዩት ወደ ላይ ዐረገ፤ ደመናም ከዐይናቸው ሰወረው።BSBBSB: After He had said this, they watched as He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.
10. 10ULBትኵር አድርገው ወደ ሰማይ እየተመለከቱ ሳለ፣ ድንገት ነጭ ልብስ የለበሱ ሁለት ሰዎች በአጠገባቸው ቆሙ።BSBBSB: They were looking intently into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
11. 11ULBእነርሱም፣ “እናንተ የገሊላ ሰዎች፣ ወደ ሰማይ እየተመለከታችሁ ለምን እዚህ ትቆማላችሁ? ወደ ሰማይ የወጣው ይህ ኢየሱስ ወደ ሰማይ ሲሄድ ባያችሁበት ሁኔታ ተመልሶ ይመጣል” አሏቸው።BSBBSB: “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.”
12. 12ULBከዚያም በኋላ፣ የሰንበት ቀን ጕዞ ያህል ከሚያስሄደው፣ በኢየሩሳሌም አቅራቢያ ካለው ከደብረ ዘይት ተራራ ወደ ኢየሩሳሌም ተመልሰው ሄዱ።BSBBSB: Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is near the city, a Sabbath day’s journey away.
13. 13ULBሐዋርያት እዚያ ሲደርሱ፣ ወደሚቈዩበት፣ ወደ ላይኛው ሰገነት ወጡ። እነርሱም ጴጥሮስ፣ ዮሐንስ፣ ያዕቆብ፣ እንድርያስ፣ ፊልጶስ፣ ቶማስ፣ በርተሎሜዎስ፣ ማቴዎስ፣ የእልፍዮስ ልጅ ያዕቆብ፣ ቀናተኛው ስምዖንና የያዕቆብ ልጅ ይሁዳ ነበሩ።BSBBSB: When they arrived, they went to the upper room where they were staying: Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
14. 14ULBሁሉም በአንድነት ሆነው፣ ሴቶቹ፣ የኢየሱስ እናት ማርያምና ወንድሞቹም ጭምር በጸሎት ይተጉ ነበር።BSBBSB: With one accord they all continued in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
15. 15ULBበዚያ ጊዜ ጴጥሮስ 120 ያህል በሚሆኑት ወንድሞች መካከል ቆመ፤ እንደዚህም አለ፤BSBBSB: In those days Peter stood up among the brothers (a gathering of about a hundred and twenty) and said,
16. 16ULB“ወንድሞች ሆይ፣ ኢየሱስን የያዙትንና መርቶ ያመጣውን ይሁዳን በሚመለከት መንፈስ ቅዱስ አስቀድሞ በዳዊት አፍ የተናገረው የመጽሐፍ ቃል ይፈጸም ዘንድ አስፈላጊ ነበር።BSBBSB: “Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit foretold through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide for those who arrested Jesus.
17. 17ULBይሁዳ ከእኛ እንደ አንዱ ተቈጥሮና የዚህን አገልግሎት ድርሻም ተቀብሎ ነበርና።BSBBSB: He was one of our number and shared in this ministry.”
18. 18ULB“ይሁዳም ለክፉ ሥራው በተከፈለው ዋጋ መሬት ገዛ። ከዚያም በግንባሩ ተደፋ፤ አካሉ ተሰነጠቀ፤ አንጀቱም ተዘረገፈ።BSBBSB: (Now with the reward for his wickedness Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong and burst open in the middle, and all his intestines spilled out.
19. 19ULBበኢየሩሳሌም ለሚኖሩ ሁሉ መሬቱ በቋንቋቸው አኬልዳማ የደም መሬት ተብሎ እንደሚጠራ ታወቀ።BSBBSB: This became known to all who lived in Jerusalem, so they called that field in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)
20. 20ULBበመዝሙር መጽሐፍ፦ መኖሪያው ወና ይሁን፤ የሚኖርበት አንድ ሰውም እንኳ አይገኝ፤ ሹመቱንም ሌላ ሰው ይውሰደው፤ ተብሎ ተጽፎአልና።BSBBSB: “For it is written in the book of Psalms: ‘May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,’ and, ‘May another take his position.’
21. 21ULBስለዚህ ጌታ ኢየሱስ በመካከላችን በገባበትና በወጣበት ጊዜ ሁሉ ዐብረውን ከቈዩ ሰዎች፣BSBBSB: Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have accompanied us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
22. 22ULBይኸውም ዮሐንስ ካጠመቀው ጥምቀት ጀምሮ ኢየሱስ ከእኛ እስካረገበት ቀን ድረስ፣ ከነበሩት ከእነዚህ አንዱ ከእኛ ጋር የትንሣኤው ምስክር ሊሆን ይገባል።”BSBBSB: beginning from John’s baptism until the day Jesus was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”
23. 23ULBኢዮስጦስም የሚባለውን፣ በርስያን ተብሎ የሚጠራውን ዮሴፍንና ማትያስን፣ ሁለት ሰዎችን እንዲቀርቡ አደረጉ።BSBBSB: So they proposed two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias.
24. 24ULBእንደዚህ ብለውም ጸለዩ፤ “ጌታ ሆይ፣ የሰዎችን ሁሉ ልብ አንተ ታውቃለህ፤ ስለዚህ ከእነዚህ ከሁለቱ የትኛውን እንደ መረጥኸው ግለጥ፤BSBBSB: And they prayed, “Lord, You know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two You have chosen
25. 25ULBይኸውም ይሁዳ ወደገዛ ስፍራው ትቶት በሄደው በዚህ አገልግሎትና ሐዋርያነት ውስጥ ስፍራ እንዲያገኝ ነው።”BSBBSB: to take up this ministry and apostleship, which Judas abandoned to go to his rightful place.”
26. 26ULBሐዋርያት ዕጣዎችን ለእነርሱ ጣሉ፤ ዕጣውም ለማትያስ ወደቀ፤ እርሱም ከዐሥራ አንዱ ሐዋርያት ጋር አንድ ሆኖ ተቈጠረ።BSBBSB: Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias. So he was added to the eleven apostles.
