1. 1ULBበእግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ የክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ሐዋርያ ከሆነው ከጳውሎስና ከወንድማችን ከጢሞቲዎስ፤BSBBSB: Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
2. 2ULBበቆላስይስ ለሚኖሩ ለእግዚአብሔር ለተለዩና በክርስቶስ ታማኝ ለሆኑ አማኞች፤ ከእግዚአብሔር ከአባታችን ጸጋና ሰላም ይሁንላችሁ።BSBBSB: To the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.
3. 3ULBለእናንተ በምንጸልይበት ጊዜ ሁሉ የጌታችን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ አባት እግዚአብሔርን እናመሰግናለንን።BSBBSB: We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,
4. 4ULBበክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ስላላችሁ እምነትና ለእግዚአብሔር ለተለዩት ሁሉ ስላላችሁ ፍቅር ሰምተናል።BSBBSB: because we have heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all the saints—
5. 5ULBበሰማይ ከተጠበቀላችሁ ከመታመነ ተስፋ የተነሣ ይህ እምነትና ፍቅር አላችሁ። ስለዚህም ተስፋ በወንጌል የእውነት ቃል አስቀድማችሁ ሰማችሁ፤ ይህም ወደ እናንት ደርሶአል።BSBBSB: the faith and love proceeding from the hope stored up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospel
6. 6ULBይህንም ወንጌል ከሰማችሁበትና የእግዚአብሔርን ጸጋ በእውነት ከተረዳችሁበት ቀን ጀምሮ በእናንተም ዘንድ እየሠራ እንዳለ ሁሉ በዓለም ዙሪያ ሁሉ ፍሬ እያፈራና እያደገ ነው።BSBBSB: that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood the grace of God.
7. 7ULBበእኛ ምትክ ለእናንተ የክርስቶስ ታማኝ አገልጋይ የሆነውና ከእኛም ጋር አብሮን ከሚያገለግል ከተወዳጁ ከኤጳፍራ ይህን ተምራችኋል።BSBBSB: You learned it from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,
8. 8ULBደግሞም በእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ ያላችሁን ፍቅር ነግሮናል።BSBBSB: and who also informed us of your love in the Spirit.
9. 9ULBከዚህም ፍቅር የተነሣ ስለ እናንተ ከሰማንበት ቀን ጀምሮ ለእናንተ ከመጸለይ አላቋረጥንም። በፈቃዱ ዕውቀት፣ በጥበብ ሁሉና በመንፈሳዊ ማስተዋል እንድትሞሉ እንጸልይላችኋለን።BSBBSB: For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
10. 10ULBጌታን ደስ በሚያሰኝ መንገድ በሁሉም እንደሚገባ እንድትመላለሱ፤ በማናቸውንም መልካም ሥራ ፍሬ እንድታፈሩና በእግዚአብሔርም ዕውቀት እንድታድጉ እንጸልያለን።BSBBSB: so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
11. 11ULBበሁሉም ነገር እንድትጽኑና ትእግሥት እንዲኖራችሁ ፣ከኅይሉ ክብር የተነሣም በሁሉ ብርታትና ጥንካሬ እንዲኖራችሁ እንጸልያለን።BSBBSB: being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience, and joyfully
12. 12ULBበብርሃን ከሚኖሩት አማኞች ጋር የርስቱ ተካፋይ እንድንሆን ላበቃን ለእግዚአብሔር በደስታ ምስጋና ማቅረብ እንድትችሉ እንጸልያለን።BSBBSB: giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.
13. 13ULBከጨለማ ኅይል አዳነን፤ ወደ ተወደደውም ወደ ልጁ መንግሥት አሸጋገረን።BSBBSB: He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son,
14. 14ULBበልጁም የኅጢአታችንን ይቅርታ፣ ድነትን አገኘን።BSBBSB: in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
15. 15ULBልጁ የማይታየው አምላክ ምሳሌ ነው። እርሱ የፍጥረት ሁሉ በኩር ነው።BSBBSB: The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16. 16ULBምክንያቱም በሰማያትና በምድር፤ የሚታዩትና የማይታዩት ነገሮች ሁሉ በእርሱ ተፈጥረዋል። ዙፋናትም ሆኑ ኅይላት ወይም ግዛቶችች ወይም ሥልጣናት፤ሁሉም ነገር በእርሱና ለእርሱ ተፈጥረዋል።BSBBSB: For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.
17. 17ULBእርሱ ከሁሉ በፊት ነበረ፤ሁሉም ነገር የተያያዘው በእርሱ ነው።BSBBSB: He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
18. 18ULBእርሱ አካሉ ለሆነችው ቤተ ክርስቲያን ራስ ነው። እርሱ የሁሉም መገኛና የሁሉም የመጀመሪያ፣ከሙታንም በኩር ነው።BSBBSB: And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have preeminence.
19. 19ULBበመሆኑም በሁሉም ነገሮች መካከል የመጀመሪያ ነው። በእርሱ የእግዚአብሔር ሙላቱ ሁሉ እንዲኖርና እግዚአብሔር በልጁ በኩል ሁሉን ነገርBSBBSB: For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him,
20. 20ULBከራሱ ጋር ያስታርቅ ዘንድ ስለ ወደደ ነው። እግዚአብሔር ልጁ በመስቀል ላይ ባፈሰሰው ደም በሰማያትም ሆነ በምድር ያሉትን ነገሮች ሁሉ አስታረቀ።BSBBSB: and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross.
21. 21ULBእናንተም ቀድሞ ከእግዚአብሔር ርቃችሁ ነበር፤ በአሳባችሁና በክፉ ሥራችሁም ምክንያት ጠላቶች ነበራችሁ።BSBBSB: Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds, engaging in evil deeds.
22. 22ULBአሁን ግን ቅዱሳንና ንጹሓን፤ ነቀፋም የሌለባችሁ አድርጎ በፊቱ ሊያቀርባችሁ በልጁ ሞት እግዚአብሔር ከራሱ ጋር አስታረቃችሁ። ይህም በእርሱ ተመሥርታችሁና ተደላድላችሁ በወንጌሉ ከተገኘው ተስፋ ሳትናወጡBSBBSB: But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence—
23. 23ULBበእምነት ጸንታችሁ እንድትኖሩ ነው። ይህም ወንጌል እናንተ የሰማችሁትና ከሰማይ በታች ላለ ፍጥረት ሁሉ ተሰብኮአል። እኔም ጳውሎስ አገልጋይ የሆንኩት ለዚህ ወንጌል ነው።BSBBSB: if indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
24. 24ULBአሁን ስለ እናንተ በምቀበለው መከራ ደስ ይለኛል። አካሉ ስለ ሆነችው ስለ ቤተ ክርስቲያንም ከክርስቶስ መከራ ከመካፈል የጎደለውን በሥጋዬ አሟላለሁ።BSBBSB: Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions for the sake of His body, which is the church.
25. 25ULBየእግዚአብሔርን ቃል በሙሉ ለእናንተ እንድገልጥ ከእግዚአብሔር በተሰጠኝ ኅላፊነት ቃሉን ለመፈጸም የማገለግለው ይህችን ቤተ ክርስቲያን ነው።BSBBSB: I became its servant by the commission God gave me to fully proclaim to you the word of God,
26. 26ULBይህም ባለፉት ዘመናትና ትውልዶች ከሰው ልጆች ተሰውሮ የቆየውና አሁን ግን እግዚአብሔር ለሚያምኑት ሁሉ የገለጠው ምስጢር ነው።BSBBSB: the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to His saints.
27. 27ULBእግዚአብሔርም በእናንተ መካከል ለአሕዛብ ሊገልጥላቸው የፈለገው የዚህ ምስጢር የክብር ብልጽግና ምን ያህል ታላቅ እንደሆነ ነው። ይህም ምሥጢር በተስፋ የምንጠባበቀው ክብር የሚገኝበት ክርስቶስ በእናንተ መካከል መሆኑ ነው።BSBBSB: To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28. 28ULBየምንሰብከው እርሱን ነው። እያንዳንዱን ሰው በክርስቶስ ፍጹም አድርገን ለማቅረብ ጥበብን ሁሉ በማስተማርና በመምክር ሰውን ሁሉ እንገስጻለን።BSBBSB: We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
29. 29ULBበውስጤ በኅይል በሚሠራው መሠረት በብርቱ እየታገልኩ እደክማለሁ።BSBBSB: To this end I also labor, striving with all His energy working powerfully within me.
