1. 1ULBልጆች ሆይ፤ በጌታ ለወላጆቻችሁ ታዘዙ፤ ይህ ተገቢ ነውና።BSBBSB: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2. 2ULB«አባትህንና እናትህን አክብር» በሚለው የመጀመሪያ ትእዛዝ ውስጥ ያለው ተስፋBSBBSB: “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3. 3ULBእንዲሆንልህ፥ ዕድሜህም በምድር ላይ እንዲረዝም» የሚል ነው።BSBBSB: “that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on the earth.”
4. 4ULBእናንተም አባቶች ሆይ፤ ልጆቻችሁን አታስቆጡአቸው፤ ይልቁንስ በጌታ ሥርዓትና ምክር አሳድጓቸው።BSBBSB: Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
5. 5ULBባሮች ሆይ፤ ለክርስቶስ እንደምትታዘዙት ለምድራዊ ጌቶቻችሁም በታላቅ አክብሮት፥ በመንቀጥቀጥና በልባችሁ ቅንነት ታዘዙ፤BSBBSB: Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear and sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
6. 6ULBለታይታ እነርሱን ደስ ለማሰኘት ብላችሁ ሳይሆን፥ እንደ ክርስቶስ አገልጋዮች የእግዚአብሔርን ፈቃድ ከልብ በመፈጸም ታዘዙአቸው።BSBBSB: And do this not only to please them while they are watching, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.
7. 7ULBሰውን ሳይሆን ጌታን እንደምታገለግሉ እያሰባችሁ በደስታ አገልግሉ።BSBBSB: Serve with good will, as to the Lord and not to men,
8. 8ULBባሪያም ይሁን ነጻ ሰው እያንዳንዱ ሰው ለሚያደርገው መልካም ነገር ከጌታ ሽልማት እንደሚቀበል ልብ በሉ።BSBBSB: because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
9. 9ULBእናንተም ጌቶች ሆይ፤ ለባሮቻችሁ እንዲሁ አድርጉላቸው፤ የእነርሱና የእናንተም ጌታ የሆነው እርሱ በሰማይ እንዳለና ለሰው ፊትም እንደማያዳላ ተረድታችሁ አታስፈራሯቸው።BSBBSB: And masters, do the same for your slaves. Give up your use of threats, because you know that He who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him.
10. 10ULBበጌታና ብርቱ በሆነው ኀይሉ የበረታችሁ ሁኑ።BSBBSB: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
11. 11ULBየዲያብሎስን ተንኮል አዘል ዕቅድ መቋቋም ትችሉ ዘንድ የእግዚአብሔርን የጦር ዕቃ ሁሉ ልበሱ።BSBBSB: Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
12. 12ULBውጊያችን ከሥጋና ከደም ጋር ሳይሆን ከአለቆች፥ ከሥልጣናት፥ ከዚህ ከጨለማ ዓለም ገዦችና በሰማያዊ ስፍራ ካሉ ርኩሳን መናፍስት ጋር ነው።BSBBSB: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13. 13ULBበክፉ ቀን ክፉውን በመቃወም ጸንታችሁ ትቆሙ ዘንድ የእግዚአብሔርን የጦር ዕቃ ሁሉ ልበሱ፤ ጸንታችሁ ለመቆምም ማድረግ የምትችሉትን ሁሉ አድርጉ።BSBBSB: Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
14. 14ULBወገባችሁን በእውነት ቀበቶ ታጥቃችሁ፥የጽድቅንም ጥሩር ለብሳችሁ ጸንታችሁ ቁሙ፤BSBBSB: Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed,
15. 15ULBየሰላምን ወንጌል ለማወጅ እግሮቻችሁ በዚያ ተጫምተው ዝግጁ ይሁኑBSBBSB: and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
16. 16ULBየሚንበለበሉትን የክፉውን ፍላጻዎች ማጥፋት ትችሉ ዘንድ ሁል ጊዜ የእምነትን ጋሻ አንሱ።BSBBSB: In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17. 17ULBየመዳንን ራስ ቁር አድርጉ፤የመንፈስንም ሰይፍ ያዙ፤ይህም የእግዚአብሔር ቃል ነው።BSBBSB: And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18. 18ULBዓይነት ጸሎትና ልመና ሁልጊዜ በመንፈስ በመጸለይና መልሱን ከእርሱ በመጠበቅ፥ ለቅዱሳንም ልመና በማቅረብ ትጉ።BSBBSB: Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.
19. 19ULBምስጢር በድፍረት ለመናገር አፌን በምከፍትበት ጊዜ ሁሉ ቃል ይሰጠኝ ዘንድ ለእኔም ጸልዩልኝ።BSBBSB: Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel,
20. 20ULBመናገር እንደሚገባኝ በድፍረት እናገር ዘንድ በሰንሰለት የታሰረ መልእክተኛ የሆንሁት ለዚሁ ነውና።BSBBSB: for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should.
21. 21ULBሁኔታ እንዳለሁና ምን እያደረግሁ እንደምገኝ፥ የተወደደ ወንድምና በጌታ ታማኝ አገልጋይ የሆነው ቲኪቆስ ሁሉንም ነገር ይነግራችኋል።BSBBSB: Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know about me and what I am doing.
22. 22ULBያለንበትን ሁኔታ እንድታውቁና እናንተንም እንዲያበረታታ በማለት ወደ እናንተ ልኬዋለሁ።BSBBSB: I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may encourage your hearts.
23. 23ULBከአብ፥ ከጌታም ከኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ሰላምና ፍቅር ከእምነት ጋር ለወንድሞች ይሁን።BSBBSB: Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24. 24ULBኢየሱስ ክርስቶስን በማይጠፋ ፍቅር ከሚወዱ ጋር ሁሉ ጸጋ ይሁን።BSBBSB: Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
