1 ULB ሙሴን እንዲህ አለው፤ «ልብ በል፤ አንተን ለፈርዖን እንደ አምላክ አድርጌሃለሁ፡፡ ወንድምህ አሮን ነቢይህ ይሆናል፡፡ BSB BSB: The LORD answered Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.
2 ULB እንድትናገር ያዘዝሁህን ሁሉ ትናራለህ፡፡ የእስራኤል ሕዝብ ከምድሩ እንዲለቀ፣ ወንድምህ አሮን ለፈርዖን ይናገራል፡፡ BSB BSB: You are to speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his land.
3 ULB ነገር ግን እኔ የፈርዖንን ለብ አደነድነዋሁ፤ የተአምራቴን ብዙ ምልክቶች፣ ብዙ ድንቆችም በግብፅ ምድር አሳያለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I will multiply My signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,
4 ULB ነገር ግን ፈርዖን አይሰማችሁም፤ ስለዚህ እጄን በግብፅ ላይ አደርጋሁ፤ ሰራዊቱን፣ ሕዝቤን፣ የእስራኤልን ልጆች በታላቅ ፍርድ ከግብፅ ምድር አወጣለሁ፡፡ BSB BSB: Pharaoh will not listen to you. Then I will lay My hand on Egypt, and by mighty acts of judgment I will bring the divisions of My people the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.
5 ULB በግብፅ ላይ ስዘረጋና እስራኤላውያንን ከመካከላቸው ሳወጣ፣ ግብፃውያን እኔ እግዚአብሔር እንደ ሆንሁ ያውቃሉ፡፡» BSB BSB: And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out from among them.”
6 ULB አሮን እንዲሁ አደረጉ፤ እግዚአብሔር ያዘዛቸውን ፈጸሙ፡፡ BSB BSB: So Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded them.
7 ULB ባጋገሩት ጊዜ፣ የሙሴ ዕድሜ ሰማንያ፣ የአሮን ደግሞ ሰማንያ ሦስት ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: Moses was eighty years old and Aaron was eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.
8 ULB ሙሴንና አሮንን እንዲህ አላቸው፤ BSB BSB: The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
9 ULB ‹ተአምር አሳዩ› ሲላችሁ፣ አሮንን እንዲህ በለው፤ ‹በትርህን ውሰድና በፈርዖን ፊት ጣለው፤ እባብም ይሀናል፡፡»› BSB BSB: “When Pharaoh tells you, ‘Perform a miracle,’ you are to say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a serpent.”
10 ULB ሙሴ አሮን ወደ ፈርዖን ሄደው፣ እግዚአብሔር አዝዞአቸው የነበረውን አደረጉ፡፡ አሮን በትሩን በፈርዖንና በአገልጋዮቹ ፊት ጣለው፤ እባብም ሆነ፡፡ BSB BSB: So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent.
11 ULB ደግሞ ለጥበበኛ ሰዎቹና ለጠንቋዮቹ ጥሪ አደረገ፡፡ እነርሱም በምትሀታቸው ያንኑ አደረጉ፡፡ BSB BSB: But Pharaoh called the wise men and sorcerers and magicians of Egypt, and they also did the same things by their magic arts.
12 ULB እያንዳንዱ ሰው በትሩን ጣለ፤ በትሮቹም እባብ ሆኑ፣ ነገር ግን የአሮን በትር የእነርሱን እባቦች ዋጣቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up the other staffs.
13 ULB አስቀድሞ እንደ ተናገረው፣ የፈርዖን ልብ ደነደነ፤ አልሰማምም፡፡ BSB BSB: Still, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.
14 ULB እግዚአብሔር ሙሴን እንዲህ አለው፤ «የፈርዖን ልብ ደንድኖአል፤ ሕዘቡም እንዲሄዱ አይፈቅድም፡፡ BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is unyielding; he refuses to let the people go.
15 ULB ወደ ውሃው በሚሄድበት ጊዜ፣ በጠዋት ወደ ፈርዖን ሂድ፡፡ እንዳገኘውም በወንዙ ዳር ቁም፤ ወደ እባብነት ተለውጦ የነበረውን በትርህን ውሰድ፡፡ BSB BSB: Go to Pharaoh in the morning as you see him walking out to the water. Wait on the bank of the Nile to meet him, and take in your hand the staff that was changed into a snake.
16 ULB እንዲህ በለው፤ ‹የዕብራውያን አምላክ እግዚአብሔር ይህን እንድናገር ወደ አንተ ላከኝ፤ «በምድረ በዳ እንዲያመልኩኝ ሕዝቤን ልቀቅ፤ እስካሁን ድረስ አልሰማህም፡፡» BSB BSB: Then say to him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to tell you: Let My people go, so that they may worship Me in the wilderness. But until now you have not listened.
17 ULB የሚናገረው ይህ ነው፤ «እኔ እግዚአብሔር እንደ ሆንሁ በዚህ ታውቃለህ፡፡ የአባይን ወንዝ ውሀ በእጄ በያዝሁት በትር እመታዋለሁ፣ ወንዙም ወደ ደምነት ይለወጣል፡፡ BSB BSB: This is what the LORD says: By this you will know that I am the LORD. Behold, with the staff in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will turn to blood.
18 ULB ውስጥ የሚገኙት ዓሦች ይሞታሉ፤ ወንዙ ይከረፋል፡፡ግብፃውያኑም ከወንዙ ውሀ መጠጣት አይችሉም፡፡» BSB BSB: The fish in the Nile will die, the river will stink, and the Egyptians will be unable to drink its water.’”
19 ULB ከዚያም በኋላ እግዚአብሔር ለሙሴ እንዲህ አለ፤ አሮንን፣ ‹በትርህን ውሰድና ውሀቸው ደም እንዲሆን፣ በግብፅ ውሀዎች ላይ፣ በወንዞቻቸውም፣ በምንጮቻቸውም፣ በውሀ ማጠራቀሚያዎቻቸውና በኩሬዎቻቸው ሁሉ ላይ እጅህን ዘርጋ ብለህ ንገረው፡፡ በመላው የግብፅ ምድር፣ ከዕንጨትና ከድንጋይ በተሠሩ ውሀ መያዣዎች ያለው ውሀም እንኳ ደም እንዲሆን ይህን አድርግ፡፡»› BSB BSB: And the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt—over their rivers and canals and ponds and all the reservoirs—that they may become blood.’ There will be blood throughout the land of Egypt, even in the vessels of wood and stone.”
20 ULB ሙሴና አሮን እግዚአብሔር እንዳዘዛቸው አደረጉ፡፡ አሮን በትሩን አንሥቶ በፈርዖንና በአገልጋዮቹ ፊት የወንዙን ውሀ መታው፡፡ የወንዙ ውሀ በሙሉ ወደ ደምነት ተለወጠ፡፡ BSB BSB: Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded; in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials, Aaron raised the staff and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was turned to blood.
21 ULB ውስጥ ያለው ዓሣ ሞተ ወንዙም መከርፋት ጀመረ፡፡ ግብፃውያኑ ከወንዙ ውሀ መጠጣት አልቻም፤ ደሙም በግብፅ ምድር በየትኛውም ስፍራ ነበረ፡፡ BSB BSB: The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. And there was blood throughout the land of Egypt.
22 ULB የግብፅ ጠንቋዮችም በምትሀታቸው ያንኑ ዐይነት ነገር አደረጉ፡፡ ስለዚህ የፈርዖን ልብ ደነደነ፤ እግዚአብሔር ይሆናለ ብሎ ተናግሮት እንደ ተናገረውም ሙሴንና አሮንን ለመስማት እምቢ አለ፡፡ BSB BSB: But the magicians of Egypt did the same things by their magic arts. So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.
23 ULB ወደ ቤቱ ተመለሰ፡፡ ለዚህ ጉዳይ ትኵረትም እንኳ አልሰጠም፡፡ BSB BSB: Instead, Pharaoh turned around, went into his palace, and did not take any of this to heart.
24 ULB ግብፃውያኑ ሁሉ በወንዙ ዙሪያ የሚጠጣ ውሀ ለማግኘት ቈፈሩ፤ ነገ ርግን የወንዙን ውሀ መጠጣት አልቻሉም፡፡ BSB BSB: So all the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, because they could not drink the water from the river.
25 ULB እግዚአብሔር ወንዙን ከመታው በኋላ ሰባት ቀን ዐለፈ፡፡ BSB BSB: And seven full days passed after the LORD had struck the Nile.
