1 ULB የኖኅ ልጆች የሴም፣ የካምና የያፌት ዝርያዎች የሚከተሉት ናቸው። ከጥፋት ውሃም በኋላ ልጆች ተወለዱላቸው። BSB BSB: This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, who also had sons after the flood.
2 ULB የያፌት ልጆች፦ ጋሜር፣ ማጎግ፣ ማዴ፣ ያዋን፣ ቶቤል፣ ሞሳሕና ቴራስ ነበሩ። BSB BSB: The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3 ULB የጋሜር ልጆች፦ አስከናዝ፣ ሪፋትና ቴርጋማ ነበሩ። BSB BSB: The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 ULB የያዋን ልጆች፦ ኤሊሳ፣ ተርሴስ፣ ኪቲምና ሮዳኢ ነበሩ። BSB BSB: And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.
5 ULB ከእነዚህም በየነገዳቸው በየጎሳቸውና በየቋንቋቸው ተከፋፍለው በባሕር ዳርና በደሴቶች በየምድራቸው የሚኖሩ ሕዝቦች ወጡ። BSB BSB: From these, the maritime peoples separated into their territories, according to their languages, by clans within their nations.
6 ULB የካም ልጆች፦ ኩሽ፣ ምጽራይም፣ ፉጥና ከነዓን ነበሩ። BSB BSB: The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
7 ULB የኩሽ ልጆች፦ ሳባ፣ ኤውላጥ፣ ሰብታ፣ ራዕማና ሰበቀታ ነበሩ። የራዕማ ልጆች፦ ሳባና ድዳን ነበሩ። BSB BSB: The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 ULB ኩሽ በምድር ላይ የመጀመሪያው ታላቅ ጦረኛ የነበረው የናምሩድ አባት ነበር። BSB BSB: Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.
9 ULB እርሱም በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ብርቱ አዳኝ ነበር። ስለዚህም፣ “በእግዚአብሔር ፊት እንደ ናምሩድ ብርቱ አዳኝ” ይባል ነበር። BSB BSB: He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; so it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.”
10 ULB የግዛቱም የመጀመሪያ ከተሞች በሰናዖር ምድር የነበሩት፡- ባቢሎን፣ አሬክ፣ አርካድና ካልኔ ነበሩ። BSB BSB: His kingdom began in Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 ULB ከዚያም ወደ አሦር ምድር ሄደና ነነዌን፣ ርሆቦትን፣ ካላሕን BSB BSB: From that land he went forth into Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,
12 ULB እንዲሁም በነነዌና በካላሕ መካከል የነበረውን ታላቅ ከተማ ሬሴን የተባሉትን ከተሞች መሠረተ። BSB BSB: and Resen, which is between Nineveh and the great city of Calah.
13 ULB ምጽራይም የሎዳማውያን፣የዐናሚማውያን፣ የላህሚማውያን፣ የነፍታሌማውያን፣ BSB BSB: Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,
14 ULB የፈተሩሲማውያንና ፍልስጥኤማውያን የተገኙባቸው የካስሎሂማውያንና የቀፍቶርማውያን አባት ነበር። BSB BSB: the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.
15 ULB የከነዓንም የበኩር ልጅ ሲዶን ተከታዩም ሔት ይባሉ ነበር። BSB BSB: And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites,
16 ULB ሌሎቹም የከነዓን ዝርያዎች ኢያቡሳውያን፣ አሞራውያን፣ ጌርጌሳውያን፣ BSB BSB: the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
17 ULB ኤውያውያንን፣ ዓርቃውያን፣ ሲናውያን፣ BSB BSB: the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
18 ULB ኤርዋዳውያን፣ አርዋዳውያን፣ ደማራውያን፣ ሐማታውያን የሚባሉ ነበሩ። ከጊዜ በኋላ የከነዓን ጎሣዎች በየስፍራው ተሠራጩ። BSB BSB: the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans were scattered,
19 ULB የከነዓን ወሰን ከሲዶና አንሥቶ በጌራራ በኩል ገሞራን አዳማንና ሰቦይን ይዞ እስከ ላሣ ይዘልቃል። BSB BSB: and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.
20 ULB እነዚህም በየጎሣቸውና በየቋንቋቸው በየምድራቸውና በየነገዳቸው ይኖሩ የነበሩ የካም ዝርያዎች ነበሩ። BSB BSB: These are the sons of Ham according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.
21 ULB ለያፌት ታላቅ ወንድም ለሴም ደግሞ ወንዶች ልጆች ተወለዱለት፤ እርሱም የዔቦር ልጆች ሁሉ ቅድመ አያት ነበር። BSB BSB: And sons were also born to Shem, the older brother of Japheth; Shem was the forefather of all the sons of Eber.
22 ULB የሴም ልጆች ኤላም፣ አሦር፣ አርፋክስድ፣ ሉድ፣ አራም ነበሩ። BSB BSB: The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
23 ULB የአራም ልጆች ዑፅ፣ ሁል፣ ጌቴር፣ ሞሶሕ ነበሩ። BSB BSB: The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24 ULB አርፋክስድ ሳላን ወለደ፤ ሳላም ኤቦርን ወለደ። BSB BSB: Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.
25 ULB ዔቦርም ሁለት ወንዶች ልጆችን ወለደ። በዘመኑ ምድር ተከፍላ ስለነበር የአንደኛው ልጅ ስም ፍሌቅ ተባለ፤ ወንድሙም ዮቅጣን ተባለ። BSB BSB: Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.
26 ULB ዮቅጣንም የአልሞዳድ፣ የሼሌፍ፥ የሐጸርማዌት፣ የዮራሕ፣ BSB BSB: And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 ULB የዐዶራም፣ የኢዛል፣ የዲቅላ፣ BSB BSB: Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 ULB የዖባል፣ የአቢማኤል፣ የሳባ፣ BSB BSB: Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 ULB የኦፊር፣ የሐዊላና የዮባብ አባት ነበር። እነዚህ ሁሉ የዮቅጣን ዝርያዎች ነበሩ። BSB BSB: Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
30 ULB መኖርያ ስፍራቸውም በስተምሥራቅ ባለው በተራራማው አገር ከሜሻ እስከ ስፋር ይደርስ ነበር። BSB BSB: Their territory extended from Mesha to Sephar, in the eastern hill country.
31 ULB እነዚህም በየጎሣቸውና በየቋንቋቸው በየምድራቸውና በየነገዳቸው ይኖሩ የነበሩ የሴም ዝርያዎች ነበሩ። BSB BSB: These are the sons of Shem, according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.
32 ULB የኖኅ ወንዶች ልጆች ጎሣዎች እንደ ትውልዳቸው በየነገዳቸው እነዚህ ነበሩ። ከጥፋት ውሃ በኋላ ሕዝቦች በምድር ላይ የተሠራጩት ከእነዚሁ ነበር። BSB BSB: All these are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their generations and nations. From these the nations of the earth spread out after the flood.
