1. 1ULBየምድር በውስጣቸው ያሉትም ሕያዋን ፍጡራን አፈጣጠር በዚህ ሁኔታ ተከናወነ።BSBBSB: Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
2. 2ULBእግዚአብሔር ይሠራ የነበረውን ሥራ በሰባተኛው ቀን ፈጽሞ በዚሁ ቀን ከሥራው ሁሉ አረፈ።BSBBSB: And by the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on that day He rested from all His work.
3. 3ULBእግዚአብሔር የመፍጠር ሥራውን ሁሉ ፈጽሞ ያረፈው በዚህ ቀን ስለሆነ ሰባተኛውን ቀን ባረከው ቀደሰውም።BSBBSB: Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation that He had accomplished.
4. 4ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክ ሰማይንና ምድርን በፈጠረበት ወቅት የሰማይና የምድር የአፈጣጠራቸው ታሪክ እንደዚህ ነበር።BSBBSB: This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made them.
5. 5ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክ በምድር ላይ ዝናብ እንዲዘንብ ስላደረገና ምድርንም የሚያለማ ሰው ባለመኖሩ በምድር ላይ ምንም ቡቃያ አልነበረም፣ በምድር ላይ የሚበቅል ተክልም ገና አልበቀለም።BSBBSB: Now no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth, nor had any plant of the field sprouted, for the LORD God had not yet sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground.
6. 6ULBነገር ግን ውሃ ከመሬት እየመነጨ የምድርን ገጽ ያረሰርስ ነበር።BSBBSB: But springs welled up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.
7. 7ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክም ከምድር አፈር ሰውን አበጀው፤ በአፍንጫውም የሕይወት እስትንፋስ እፍ አለበት፤ ሰውም ሕያው ነፍስ ያለው ሆነ።BSBBSB: Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.
8. 8ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክም በስተምሥራቅ በኩል በዔደን የአትክልት ስፍራ አዘጋጀ፣ የአበጀውንም ሰው በዚያ አኖረው።BSBBSB: And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, where He placed the man He had formed.
9. 9ULBከምድር ውስጥም እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ለዓይን የሚያስደስቱና ለምግብነት የሚጠቅሙ ልዩ ልዩ ዛፎች እንዲበቅሉ አደረገ። በአትክልት ስፍራው መካከልም የሕይወት ዛፍ ነበር፣ መልካሙንና ክፉውን የሚያሳውቀውም ዛፍ በዚያ ነበር።BSBBSB: Out of the ground the LORD God gave growth to every tree that is pleasing to the eye and good for food. And in the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10. 10ULBየአትክልት ስፍራውንም የሚያጠጣ ወንዝ ከኤደን ይፈስ ነበር። ወንዙም ከኤደን ከወጣ በኋላ አራት ወንዞች ሆኖ ይከፋፈል ነበር።BSBBSB: Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it branched into four headwaters:
11. 11ULBየመጀመሪያው ፊሶን የተባለው ወንዝ ነበር፣ ይህም ወርቅ ይገኝበት የነበረውን መላውን የሐዊላ ምድር አቋርጦ የሚፈስው ወንዝ ነበር።BSBBSB: The name of the first river is the Pishon; it winds through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.
12. 12ULBየዚያ አገር ወርቅ የጠራ ወርቅ ነበር፤ በተጨማሪም በዚያ አገር ሽቶና የከበሩ ድንጋዮች ነበሩ።BSBBSB: And the gold of that land is pure, and bdellium and onyx are found there.
13. 13ULBየሁለተኛው ወንዝ ስም ግዮን ይባል ነበር፣ እርሱም መላውን የኢትዮጵያ ምድር አቋርጦ ይፈስ ነበር።BSBBSB: The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the whole land of Cush.
14. 14ULBየሶስተኛው ወንዝ ስም ጤግሮስ ይባል ነበር፣ እርሱም በአሦር በስተምሥራቅ ይፈሳል። አራተኛው ወንዝ ኤፍራጥስ ነበር።BSBBSB: The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
15. 15ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክም የኤደንን የአትክልት ስፍራ ያለማና ይንከባከብ ዘንድ ሰውን ወስዶ በዚያ አኖረው።BSBBSB: Then the LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.
16. 16ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክም እንዲህ በማለት አዘዘው፣ “በአትክልቱ ስፍራ ካለው ከማንኛውም የፍሬ ዛፍ መብላት ትችላልህ።BSBBSB: And the LORD God commanded him, “You may eat freely from every tree of the garden,
17. 17ULBነገር ግን መልካሙንና ክፉውን ከሚያሳውቀው ዛፍ አትብላ፣ ምክንያቱም ከእርሱ በበላህ ቀን በእርግጥ ትሞታለህ።”BSBBSB: but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”
18. 18ULBከዚህ በኋላ እግዚአብሔር አምላክ፦ “ሰው ብቻውን ይሆን ዘንድ መልካም አይደለም። ስለዚህ የምትመቸውን ረዳት እፈጥርለታለሁ” አለ።BSBBSB: The LORD God also said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a suitable helper.”
19. 19ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክም ከምድር አፈር የምድር እንስሶችንና የሰማይ ወፎችን አበጀ። ምን ስም እንደሚያወጣላቸው ይመለከት ዘንድ ወደ አዳም አመጣቸው። ለእያንዳንዱ ሕያው ፍጡር አዳም ያወጣለት ስም ያ ስሙ ሆነ።BSBBSB: And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and He brought them to the man to see what he would name each one. And whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.
20. 20ULBአዳም ለሁሉም ከብቶች፣ ለሁሉም የሰማይ ወፎችና ለምድር አራዊት ሁሉ ስም አወጣላቸው። ነገር ግን ለአዳም ለራሱ የምትመች ረዳት አልተገኘለትም።BSBBSB: The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.
21. 21ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክ በአዳም ላይ ከባድ እንቅልፍ እንዲወስደው አደረገ፣ ስለሆነም አዳም አንቀላፋ። እግዚአብሔር አምላክ አዳም አንቀላፍቶ ሳለ ከጎድን አጥንቶቹ አንዱን ወስዶ አጥንቱን የወሰደበትን ስፍራ በሥጋ ዘጋው።BSBBSB: So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he slept, He took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the area with flesh.
22. 22ULBእግዚአብሔር አምላክ ከአዳም ከወሰደው የጎድን አጥንት ሴት አድርጎ ሠራት። ወደ አዳምም አመጣት።BSBBSB: And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him.
23. 23ULBአዳምም፦ “አሁን ይህቺ ከአጥንቴ የተገኘች አጥንት ከሥጋዬ የተገኘች ሥጋ ናት። ከወንድ ተገኝታለችና ሴት ትባል” አለ።BSBBSB: And the man said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of man she was taken.”
24. 24ULBስለዚህ ሰው አባቱንና እናቱን ይተዋል ከሚስቱም ጋር ይጣመራል፤ ሁለቱም አንድ ሥጋ ይሆናሉ።BSBBSB: For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
25. 25ULBአዳምና ሚስቱ ሁለቱም ራቁታቸውን ነበሩ፤ ይሁን እንጂ አይተፋፈሩም ነበር።BSBBSB: And the man and his wife were both naked, and they were not ashamed.
