1 ULB አሁንም ኢዮብ ሆይ፥ ቃሎቼን እንድትሰማ፥ ንግግሬንም እንድታደምጥ እለምንሃለሁ። BSB BSB: “But now, O Job, hear my speech, and listen to all my words.
2 ULB ይኸው አሁን አፌን ከፍቻለሁ፤ ምላሴም በአፌ ውስጥ ተናግሯል። BSB BSB: Behold, I will open my mouth; my address is on the tip of my tongue.
3 ULB ቃሎቼ የልቤን ቅንነት ይናገራሉ፤ ከንፈሮቼ የሚያውቁትን በታማኝነት ይናገራሉ። BSB BSB: My words are from an upright heart, and my lips speak sincerely what I know.
4 ULB የእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ ፈጠረኝ፤ የሁሉን ቻዩ እስትንፋስ ሕይወትን ሰጠኝ። BSB BSB: The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
5 ULB ከቻልክ መልስልኝ፤ በፊቴም ቃሎችህን በቅደም ተከተል አዘጋጅና ቁም። BSB BSB: Refute me if you can; prepare your case and confront me.
6 ULB ተመልከት፥ በእግዚአብሔር ፊት አንተ እንደሆንከው እንዲሁም እኔም ነኝ፤ እኔም ደግሞ ከጭቃ ተሠርቻለሁ። BSB BSB: I am just like you before God; I was also formed from clay.
7 ULB ተመልከት፥ ማስፈራራቴ አያስፈራህም፤ ተጽዕኖዬም ቢሆን አይከብድብህም። BSB BSB: Surely no fear of me should terrify you; nor will my hand be heavy upon you.
8 ULB በእርግጥ በጆሮዬ ተናግረሃል፤ እንዲህ የሚለውንም የቃልህን ድምፅ ሰምቻለሁ፥ BSB BSB: Surely you have spoken in my hearing, and I have heard these very words:
9 ULB ንጹሕ ነኝ መተላለፍም የለብኝም፤ አልበደልኩም፥ ኃጢአትም የለብኝም። BSB BSB: ‘I am pure, without transgression; I am clean, with no iniquity in me.
10 ULB ይኸው፥ እግዚአብሔር ሊያጠቃኝ አጋጣሚ ይፈልጋል፤ እንደ ጠላቱ አድርጎ ይቆጥረኛል። BSB BSB: Yet God finds occasions against me; He counts me as His enemy.
11 ULB እግሮቼን በግንድ ውስጥ ያስገባቸዋል፤ መንገዶቼንም ሁሉ ይመለከታል። BSB BSB: He puts my feet in the stocks; He watches over all my paths.’
12 ULB እግዚአብሔር ከሰው ይበልጣልና እንደዚህ መናገርህ ትክክል አይደለም ብዬ እመልስልሃለሁ። BSB BSB: Behold, you are not right in this matter. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.
13 ULB ለየትኛውም ሥራው ትኩረት አይሰጠውም በማለት ከእርሱ ጋር ለምን ትታገላለህ? BSB BSB: Why do you complain to Him that He answers nothing a man asks?
14 ULB ሰው ባያስተውለውም እግዚአብሔር አንድ ጊዜ፥ አዎን፥ ሁለት ጊዜ ይናገራል። BSB BSB: For God speaks in one way and in another, yet no one notices.
15 ULB ሰዎች አልጋቸው ላይ ተኝተው ከባድ እንቅልፍ በሚወድቅባቸው ጊዜ በህልም፥ በሌሊት ራዕይ ይናገራቸዋል። BSB BSB: In a dream, in a vision in the night, when deep sleep falls upon men as they slumber on their beds,
16 ULB በዚያን ጊዜ እግዚአብሔር የሰዎችን ጆሮ ይከፍትና በማስጠንቀቂያው ያስፈራራቸዋል፤ BSB BSB: He opens their ears and terrifies them with warnings
17 ULB ይህንን የሚያደርገውም ሰውን ከኃጢአታዊ ዓላማው ሊመልሰውና ከትዕቢት ሊጠብቀው ነው። BSB BSB: to turn a man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride,
18 ULB እግዚአብሔር የሰውን ሕይወት ከጉድጓድ ይጠብቃል፥ ሕይወቱንም ወደ ሞት ከመውረድ። BSB BSB: to preserve his soul from the Pit and his life from perishing by the sword.
19 ULB ደግሞም ሰው በአልጋው ላይ በሕመም ይቀጣል፥ በአጥንቶቹም ውስጥ በማያቋርጥ ስቃይ፤ BSB BSB: A man is also chastened on his bed with pain and constant distress in his bones,
20 ULB ሕይወቱ ምግብን፥ ነፍሱም ጣፋጩን መብል እስክትጠላ ድረስ። BSB BSB: so that he detests his bread, and his soul loathes his favorite food.
21 ULB ሥጋው ሊታይ እስከማይችል ድረስ ጠፍቷል፥ የማይታዩ የነበሩት አጥንቶቹም አሁን ገጠው ወጥተዋል። BSB BSB: His flesh wastes away from sight, and his hidden bones protrude.
22 ULB በርግጥ ነፍሱ ወደ ጉድጓድ ቀርባለች፥ ሕይወቱም ሊያጠፏት ወደሚፈልጉት። BSB BSB: He draws near to the Pit, and his life to the messengers of death.
23 ULB ነገር ግን መካከለኛ ሊሆንለት የሚችል አንድ መልአክ ቢኖር፥ የትኛውን መልካም ነገር ማድረግ እንዳለበት የሚያሳየው፥ መካከለኛ የሚሆንለት ከሺህ መላእክት አንድ ቢገኝለት፥ BSB BSB: Yet if there is a messenger on his side, one mediator in a thousand, to tell a man what is right for him,
24 ULB መልአኩም ለእርሱ ደግ ቢሆንና እግዚአብሔርን፥ 'ቤዛ የሚሆንለት አግኝቻለሁና ይህንን ሰው ወደ ጉድጓድ ከመውረድ አድነው' ቢለው BSB BSB: to be gracious to him and say, ‘Spare him from going down to the Pit; I have found his ransom,’
25 ULB በዚያን ጊዜ ሥጋው ከሕፃን ገላ ይልቅ ይታደሳል፤ ወደ ወጣትነት የብርታቱ ዘመንም ይመለሳል። BSB BSB: then his flesh is refreshed like a child’s; he returns to the days of his youth.
26 ULB እርሱ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ይጸልያል፥ እግዚአብሔርም ይራራለታል፥ እርሱም የእግዚአብሔርን ፊት በደስታ ያያል። እግዚአብሔርም ለሰውየው ድልን ይሰጠዋል። BSB BSB: He prays to God and finds favor; he sees God’s face and shouts for joy, and God restores His righteousness to that man.
27 ULB ከዚያም ያ ሰው በሌሎች ሰዎች ፊት እንዲህ ሲል ይዘምራል፥ 'ኃጢአትን ሠርቻለሁ፥ ትክክለኛ የሆነውንም አጣምሜአለሁ፥ ይሁን እንጂ ስለኃጢአቴ አልተቀጣሁም። BSB BSB: Then he sings before men with these words: ‘I have sinned and perverted what was right; yet I did not get what I deserved.
28 ULB እግዚአብሔር ነፍሴን ወደ ጉድጓድ ከመውረድ አዳናት፤ ሕይወቴም ብርሃን ማየቷን ትቀጥላለች"። BSB BSB: He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will live to see the light.’
29 ULB ተመልከቱ፥ እግዚአብሔር እነዚህን ነገሮች ሁሉ በሰው ሕይወት ሁለት ጊዜ፥ አዎን፥ እንዲያውም ሦስት ጊዜ ያደርጋቸዋል፤ BSB BSB: Behold, all these things God does to a man, two or even three times,
30 ULB ይኸውም የሕይወት ብርሃን ይበራለት ዘንድ ነፍሱን ከጉድጓድ ለመመለስ ነው። BSB BSB: to bring back his soul from the Pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life.
31 ULB ኢዮብ ሆይ አስተውለህ ስማኝ፤ ዝም በል፥ እኔም እናገራለሁ። BSB BSB: Pay attention, Job, and listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.
32 ULB የምትናገረው ነገር ካለህ መልስልኝ፤ ትክክለኛ መሆንህን ለማረጋገጥ እፈልጋለሁና ተናገር። BSB BSB: But if you have something to say, answer me; speak up, for I would like to vindicate you.
33 ULB ካልሆነ ግን ጸጥ ብለህ ስማኝ፤ እኔም ጥበብን አስተምርሃለሁ“። BSB BSB: But if not, then listen to me; be quiet, and I will teach you wisdom.”
