1 ULB ሹሐዊውም በልዳዶስ መለሰ እንዲህም አለ፦ BSB BSB: Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:
2 ULB እስከ መቼ እነዚህን ነገሮች ትናገራለህ? የአፍህስ ቃል እስከ መቼ እንደ ብርቱ ነፋስ ይሆናል? BSB BSB: “How long will you go on saying such things? The words of your mouth are a blustering wind.
3 ULB በውኑ እግዚአብሔር ፍትህን ያቃውሳልን? ሁሉንም የሚችል አምላክ ጽድቅን ያጣምማልን? BSB BSB: Does God pervert justice? Does the Almighty pervert what is right?
4 ULB ልጆችህ በድለውት እንደ ሆነ፥ እርሱም በበደላቸው እጅ አሳልፎ እንደሰጣቸው እናውቃለን። BSB BSB: When your children sinned against Him, He gave them over to their rebellion.
5 ULB ነገር ግን እግዚአብሔርን በትጋት ብትፈልገውና፥ ሁሉንም ለሚችለው አምላክ ልመናህን ብታቀርብ፥ BSB BSB: But if you would earnestly seek God and ask the Almighty for mercy,
6 ULB ንጹሕና ቅን ብትሆን፥ በእውነት እርሱ ስለ አንተ ይቆማል፥ በርግጥ የታመነ መኖሪያ ያደርግልሃል። BSB BSB: if you are pure and upright, even now He will rouse Himself on your behalf and restore your righteous estate.
7 ULB ጅማሬህ ትንሽ ቢሆንም እንኳ ፍጻሜህ እጅግ ታላቅ ይሆናል። BSB BSB: Though your beginnings were modest, your latter days will flourish.
8 ULB ስለ ቀደመው ዘመን ትውልድ ትጠይቅ ዘንድ እለምንሃለሁ፥ አባቶቻቸውም ከመረመሩና ካገኙት ነገር ለመማር ትጋ፤ BSB BSB: Please inquire of past generations and consider the discoveries of their fathers.
9 ULB (ዘመናችን በምድር ላይ እንደ ጥላ ስለሆነ እኛ ትናንት ተወለድን፤ ምንም አናውቅም)፤ BSB BSB: For we were born yesterday and know nothing; our days on earth are but a shadow.
10 ULB እነዚህ የሚነግሩህና የሚያስተምሩህ አይደሉምን? ቃልንም ከልባቸው የሚያወጡ አይደሉምን? BSB BSB: Will they not teach you and tell you, and speak from their understanding?
11 ULB በውኑ ረግረግ በሌለበት ደንገል ሳር ይበቅላልን? ወይስ ቄጠማ ውኃ በሌለበት ቦታ ይለመልማልን? BSB BSB: Does papyrus grow where there is no marsh? Do reeds flourish without water?
12 ULB ገና ለምለም አረንጓዴ ሆኖ ሳይቈረጥ፥ ከአትክልት ሁሉ በፊት ይጠወልጋል። BSB BSB: While the shoots are still uncut, they dry up more quickly than grass.
13 ULB እግዚአብሔርን የሚረሱ ሁሉ የመንገዳቸው ፍጻሜ እንዲሁ ነው፤ አምላክ የሌለው ሰው ተስፋም ይጠፋል። BSB BSB: Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so the hope of the godless will perish.
14 ULB መታመኛቸው እንደሚናድባቸው፥ እምነቱም የሸረሪት ድር አይነት የሆነበት። BSB BSB: His confidence is fragile; his security is in a spider’s web.
15 ULB እዲህ አይነት ሰው ቤቱን ይደገፋል፥ነገር ግን አይቆምለትም፤ደግፎም ይይዘዋል፥ አይጸናለትም። BSB BSB: He leans on his web, but it gives way; he holds fast, but it does not endure.
16 ULB ፀሐይም እንደወጣች ይለመልማል፥ ጫፉም በአትክልቱ ቦታ ጎልቶ ይወጣል። BSB BSB: He is a well-watered plant in the sunshine, spreading its shoots over the garden.
17 ULB ሥሮቹ በድንጋይ ክምር ላይ ይጠመጠማሉ፤ በድንጋዮቹም መካከል መልካም ቦታን ይፈልጋሉ። BSB BSB: His roots wrap around the rock heap; he looks for a home among the stones.
18 ULB ነገር ግን ይህ ሰው ከቦታው ቢጠፋ፦ ስፍውም "ፈጽሞ አቼህ አላውቅም" ብሎ ይክደዋል። BSB BSB: If he is uprooted from his place, it will disown him, saying, ‘I never saw you.’
19 ULB እነሆ፥ የደስእንደዚህ አይነትሰው ደስታ ይህ ነው፤ ሌሎች ተክሎች ከዚያው አፈር በፋንታው ይበቅላሉ። BSB BSB: Surely this is the joy of his way; yet others will spring from the dust.
20 ULB እነሆ፥ እግዚአብሔር ንጹሁን ሰው አይጥለውም፥ የክፉ አድራጊውንም እጅ አያበረታም። BSB BSB: Behold, God does not reject the blameless, nor will He strengthen the hand of evildoers.
21 ULB አፍህን እንደ ገና ሳቅ፥ ከንፈሮችህንም በደስታ ጩኊት ይሞላል። BSB BSB: He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with a shout of joy.
22 ULB የሚጠሉህ እፍረትን ይለብሳሉ፤ የአመጸኞችም ድንኳን አይገኝም። BSB BSB: Your enemies will be clothed in shame, and the tent of the wicked will be no more.”
