1 ULB በሰንበት ቀን ኢየሱስ ከፈሪሳዊያን አለቆች ወደ እንዱ ቤት እንጀራ ሊበላ በገባ ጊዜ፣ የሚያደርገውን ለማየት በቅርበት ይጠባበቁት ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: One Sabbath, Jesus went to eat in the home of a leading Pharisee, and those in attendance were watching Him closely.
2 ULB በዚያም በእጅና በእግር ዕብጠት የሚሠቃይ አንድ ሰው በኢየሱስ ፊት ነበር። BSB BSB: Right there before Him was a man with dropsy.
3 ULB ኢየሱስ የአይሁድ ሕግ ዐዋቂዎችንና ፈሪሳውያንን፣ "በሰንበት ቀን መፈወስ በሕግ ይፈቀዳል ወይስ አይፈቀድም? "ብሎ ጠየቃቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: So Jesus asked the experts in the law and the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”
4 ULB እነርሱ ግን ዝም አሉ፡፡ ኢየሱስ የታመመውን ሰው ይዞ ፈወሰውና አሰናበተው፡፡ BSB BSB: But they remained silent. Then Jesus took hold of the man, healed him, and sent him on his way.
5 ULB ቀጥሎም ኢየሱስ፣ "ከእናንተ ልጅ ወይም በሬ በሰንበት ቀን በጒድጓድ ውስጥ ቢወድቁ ወዲያውኑ የማያወጣቸው ማን ነው?" አላቸው። BSB BSB: And He asked them, “Which of you whose son or ox falls into a pit on the Sabbath day will not immediately pull him out?”
6 ULB እነርሱ ለእነዚህ ነገሮች መልስ መስጠት አልቻሉም፡፡ BSB BSB: And they were unable to answer these questions.
7 ULB ኢየሱስ በግብዣ ቦታ የከበሬታ ወንበር ለመያዝ ሲሽቀዳደሙ በተመለከት ጊዜ እንዲህ በማለት አንድ ምሳሌ BSB BSB: When Jesus noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, He told them a parable:
8 ULB ነገራቸው፤ "አንድ ሰው ወደ ሰርግ ግብዣ ቢጠራህ በመጀመሪያ በከበሬታ ቦታ አትቀመጥ፣ ምናልባት በዚያ ቦታ የሚቀመጥ ከአንተ ይልቅ ክብር የሚሰጠው ሰው ተጋብዞ ይሆናል፡፡ BSB BSB: “When you are invited to a wedding banquet, do not sit in the place of honor, in case someone more distinguished than you has been invited.
9 ULB ሁለታችሁንም የጋበዛችሁ ሰው መጥቶ፣ 'ይህን ቦታ ለሌላ ሰው ልቀቅለት' ይልሃል፣ ከዚያም አንተ በሃፍረት ወደ ዝቅተኛ ቦታ ትሄዳለህ፡፡ BSB BSB: Then the host who invited both of you will come and tell you, ‘Give this man your seat.’ And in humiliation, you will have to take the last place.
10 ULB ነገር ግን ወደ ግብዣ ስትጠራ በዝቅተኛ ቦታ ተቀመጥ፤ አንተን የጋበዘህ ሰው መጥቶ፤ ወዳጄ ሆይ፣ 'ወደ ከፍተኛ ስፍራ መጥተህ ተቀመጥ' ይልሃል፡፡ ከዚያም በተጋባዦቹ ፊት ሁሉ የተከበርህ ትሆናለህ፡፡ BSB BSB: But when you are invited, go and sit in the last place, so that your host will come and tell you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in front of everyone at the table with you.
11 ULB ራሱን ከፍ ከፍ የሚያደርግ ዝቅ ዝቅ ይላል፡፡ ራሱንም ዝቅ ዝቅ የሚያደርግ ደግሞ ከፍ ከፍ ይላል፡፡ BSB BSB: For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
12 ULB ኢየሱስ ደግሞ ጋባዡን ሰው ደግሞ እንዲህ አለው፤ "የምሳ ወይም የራት ግብዣ በምታደርግበት ጊዜ መልሰው ይጋብዙኛል በማለት ብድራትን በመፈለግ ወዳጆችህን ወይም ወንድሞችህን ወይም ዘመዶችህን ወይም ሀብታም ጎረቤቶችህን አትጋብዝ፡፡ BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to the man who had invited Him, “When you host a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or brothers or relatives or rich neighbors. Otherwise, they may invite you in return, and you will be repaid.
13 ULB ነገር ግን ግብዣ በምታደርግበት ጊዜ ድሆችን፣ የአካል ጒዳተኞችን፣ ሽባዎችንና ዐይነ ስውራንን ጥራ፡፡ BSB BSB: But when you host a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind,
14 ULB ይህን በማድረግህ እነርሱ መልሰው ሊከፍሉህ ስለማይችሉ፣ የተባረክህ ትሆናለህ፡፡ በጻድቃን ትንሣኤ ቀንም እግዚአብሔር ብድራትህን ይከፍልሃል፡፡ BSB BSB: and you will be blessed. Since they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
15 ULB በማዕድ ተቀምጠው ከነበሩት አንዱ ኢየሱስ የተናገራውን ሰምቶ፣ "በእግዚአብሔር መንግሥት ማዕድ ተቀምጦ እንጀራ የሚበላ ሰው የተባረከ ነው" አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: When one of those reclining with Him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is everyone who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.”
16 ULB ኢየሱስ ግን እንዲህ አለው፤ "አንድ ሰው ትልቅ የእራት ግብዣ አዘጋጅቶ ብዙ ሰዎችን ጋበዘ፡፡ BSB BSB: But Jesus replied, “A certain man prepared a great banquet and invited many guests.
17 ULB የግበዣውም ዝግጅት በተጠናቀቀ ጊዜ ወደ እራት ግብዣው ወደ ተጋበዙት ሰዎች፣ 'ሁሉ ተዘጋጅቶአልና ወደ ግብዣው ኑ' ብሎ መልእክተኞችን ላከ፡፡ BSB BSB: When it was time for the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’
18 ULB ነገር ግን እያንዳንዱ ተጋባዥ ከግብዣው ለመቅረት ምክንያት መደርደር ጀመረ፡፡ የመጀመሪያው፤ "መሬት ስለ ገዛሁ ሄጄ ማየት አለብኝባ ይቅርታ አድርግልኝ አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: But one after another they all began to make excuses. The first one said, ‘I have bought a field, and I need to go see it. Please excuse me.’
19 ULB ሌላው፣ 'አምስት ጥማድ በሬዎችን ገዝቻለሁ፣ እነርሱን ልፈትናቸው ስለምሄድ፤ ይቅርታ አድርግልኝ' አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. Please excuse me.’
20 ULB ሌላኛውም ሰው፣ 'ሚስት አግብቼ ሙሽራ ስልሆንሁ፣ ልመጣ አልችልም' አለ፡፡" BSB BSB: Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, so I cannot come.’
21 ULB አገልጋዩ ለጌታው እነዚህን ነገሮች ነገረው። ከዚያም የቤቱ ጌታ ተቈጥቶ አገልጋዩን 'ቶሎ ሄደህ በከተማው አውራ ጐዳናዎች ስላች መንገዶች ሁሉ ያሉ ድኾችን፣ አካል ጉዳተኞችን፣ ዐይነ ስውራንን፣ ሽባዎችን ሁሉ ወደዚህ እንዲገቡ ጥራቸው' አለው። BSB BSB: The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’
22 ULB አገልጋዩም አለው፤ 'ጌታ ሆይ፤ ያዘዝኸኝን ሁሉ አድርጌአለሁ፤ አሁንም ትርፍ ቦታ አለ።' BSB BSB: ‘Sir,’ the servant replied, ‘what you ordered has been done, and there is still room.’
23 ULB ጌታውም አገልጋዩን፣ 'ወደ ጎዳናዎችና ወደ ገጠር መንገዶች ውጣ፤ ቤቴም እንዲሞላ ያገኘሃቸውን ሁሉ እንዲገቡ ግድ በላቸው። BSB BSB: So the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.
24 ULB "እላችኋለሁ፣ በመጀመሪያ ከተጋበዙት ከእነዚያ ሰዎች መካከል አንድ ሰው እንኳ ከእራቴ አይቀምስም' አለው። BSB BSB: For I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will taste my banquet.’”
27 ULB የራሱንም መስቀል ተሸክሞ የማይከተለኝ ደቀ መዝሙሬ ሊሆን አይችልም፡፡" BSB BSB: And whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.
28 ULB ከእናንተ አንድ ሰው ሕንጻ መሥራት ቢፈልግ ለማጠናቀቅ የሚያስፈልገውን ገንዘብ በመጀመሪያ ተቀምጦ የማይተምን ማን ነው? BSB BSB: Which of you, wishing to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost to see if he has the resources to complete it?
29 ULB መሠረቱን ሠርቶ መደመደም ቢያቅተው በዚያ የሚያልፉት ሁሉ፣ BSB BSB: Otherwise, if he lays the foundation and is unable to finish the work, everyone who sees it will ridicule him,
30 ULB 'ይህ ሰው መገንባት ጀምሮ መደምደም አቃተው እያሉ ይዘብቱበታል'፡፡ BSB BSB: saying, ‘This man could not finish what he started to build.’
31 ULB ወይም አንድ ንጉሥ ከሌላ ንጉሥ ጋር ሊዋጋ በሚነሣበት ጊዜ ሃያ ሺህ ሰራዊት አስከትቶ የሚመጣበትን በአሥር ሺህ ሰራዊት ለመመከት ተቀምጦ የማይመክር ማን አለ? BSB BSB: Or what king on his way to war with another king will not first sit down and consider whether he can engage with ten thousand men the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
32 ULB መመከት የማይችል ከሆነ የሌላው ሰራዊት ገና ከሩቅ ሳለ መልእክተኛ ልኮ ዕርቅ ይጠይቃል፡፡ BSB BSB: And if he is unable, he will send a delegation while the other king is still far off, to ask for terms of peace.
33 ULB እንዲሁም ከእናንተ ማንም ያለውን ሁሉ የማይተው ደቀ መዝሙሬ ሊሆን አይችልም፡፡ BSB BSB: In the same way, any one of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be My disciple.
34 ULB ጨው መልካም ነው፤ ነገር ግን ጨው ጣዕም ካጣ እንዴት ተመልሶ እንደ ገና የጨውነት ጣዕም ሊኖረው ይችላል? BSB BSB: Salt is good, but if the salt loses its savor, with what will it be seasoned?
35 ULB ለመሬትም ሆነ ለማዳበሪያነት የማይጠቅም በመሆኑ ወደ ውጪ ይጣላል፡፡ የሚሰማ ጆሮ ያለው ይስማ!" BSB BSB: It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile, and it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
