1 ULB ከዚያም በኋላ በዲያብሎስ ሊፈተን መንፈስ ኢየሱስን ወደ ምድረ በዳ መራው፡፡ BSB BSB: Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
2 ULB ኢየሱስ ዐርባ ቀንና ዐርባ ሌሊት ከጾመ በኋላ ተራበ፡፡ BSB BSB: After fasting forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.
3 ULB ፈታኙ ወደ እርሱ መጣና፣ ‹‹የእግዚአብሔር ልጅ ከሆንህ፣ እንጀራ እንዲሆኑ እነዚህን ድንጋዮች እዘዛቸው›› አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: The tempter came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 ULB ኢየሱስ ግን መለሰና፣ ‹‹ሰው ከእግዚአብሔር አፍ በሚወጣው ቃል ሁሉ እንጂ በእንጀራ ብቻ አይኖርም ተብሎ ተጽፎአል" አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
5 ULB ከዚያም ዲያብሎስ ወደ ቅድስቲቱ ከተማ ወሰደው፤ በቤተ መቅደስ ሕንጻ ዐናት ላይም አቁሞ፣ BSB BSB: Then the devil took Him to the holy city and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple.
6 ULB የእግዚአብሔር ልጅ ከሆንህ፣ ራስህን ወደ ታች ወርውር፤ ‹እንዲጠብቁህ መላእክቱን ይልካል፣› እና ‹‹እግርህ ድንጋይ እንዳይመታው፣ በእጆቻቸው ያነሡሃል›› ተብሎ ተጽፎአል አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”
7 ULB ኢየሱስም፣ ‹‹‹ጌታ አምላክህን አትፈታተን› ተብሎም ተጽፎአል›› አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
8 ULB እንደ ገናም ዲያብሎስ ወደ አንድ ተራራ ወሰደውና የዓለምን መንግሥታት ሁሉ ከሙሉ ክብራቸው ጋር አሳየው፡፡ BSB BSB: Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
9 ULB ‹‹ብትወድቅና ብትሰግድልኝ፣ እነዚህን ሁሉ እሰጥሃለሁ›› አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: “All this I will give You,” he said, “if You will fall down and worship me.”
10 ULB ከዚያም ኢየሱስ፣ አንተ ሰይጣን ከዚህ ሂድ! ‹ለጌታ ለአምላክህ ስገድ፣ እርሱንም ብቻ አምልክ››› ተብሎ ተጽፎአልና አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: “Away from Me, Satan!” Jesus told him. “For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”
11 ULB ከዚያ በኋላ ዲያብሎስ ተወው፤ እነሆም፣ መላእክት መጡና ኢየሱስን አገለገሉት፡፡ BSB BSB: Then the devil left Him, and angels came and ministered to Him.
12 ULB ኢየሱስ የዮሐንስን መያዝ ሲሰማ፣ ወደ ገሊላ ሄደ፡፡ BSB BSB: When Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, He withdrew to Galilee.
13 ULB ናዝሬትን ትቶ በመሄድ በዛብሎንና በንፍታሌም አገር በገሊላ ባሕር አጠገብ ባለው በቅፍርናሆም ኖረ፡፡ BSB BSB: Leaving Nazareth, He went and lived in Capernaum, which is by the sea in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
14 ULB ይህ የሆነው፣ በነቢዩ ኢሳይያስ ተነግሮ የነበረው እንዲፈጸም ነው፤ ይኸውም፡- BSB BSB: to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
15 ULB ‹‹የዛብሎን ምድርና የንፍታሌም ምድር፣ በባሕሩ አቅጣጫ፣ ከዮርዳኖስ ማዶ፣ የአሕዛብ ገሊላ! BSB BSB: “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—
16 ULB በጨለማ ውስጥ የኖረ ሕዝብ ታላቅ ብርሃን አየ፣ በሞት ጥላና ምድር ውስጥ ለሚኖሩትም፣ ብርሃን ወጣላቸው›› የሚለው ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.”
17 ULB ኢየሱስ ከዚያ ጊዜ አንሥቶ፣ ‹‹መንግሥተ ሰማያት ቀርባለችና ንስሐ ግቡ›› እያለ መስበክ ጀመረ፡፡ BSB BSB: From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
18 ULB ኢየሱስ በገሊላ ባሕር አጠገብ እየሄደ ሳለ፣ ሁለት ወንድማማቾችን አየ፤ ጴጥሮስ ተብሎ የሚጠራው ስምዖንና ወንድሙ እንድርያስ ዓሣ አጥማጆች ስለ ነበሩ፣ ወደ ባሕሩ መረብ እየጣሉ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
19 ULB ኢየሱስ፣ ‹‹ኑ፣ ተከተሉኝ፤ ሰዎችን የምታጠምዱ አደርጋችኋለሁ›› አላቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”
20 ULB እነርሱም ወዲያውኑ መረባቸውን ትተው ተከተሉት፡፡ BSB BSB: And at once they left their nets and followed Him.
21 ULB ኢየሱስ ከዚያ ዐለፍ እንዳለም ሁለት ሌሎች ወንድማማቾችን፣ የዘብዴዎስን ልጅ ያዕቆብንና ወንድሙን ዮሐንስን አየ፤ ከአባታቸው ከዘብዴዎስ ጋር በጀልባ ውስጥ መረቦቻቸውን ያበጃጁ ነበር፡፡ ኢየሱስም ጠራቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. Jesus called them,
22 ULB ወዲያውኑ ጀልባዋንና አባታቸውን ትተው ተከተሉት፡፡ BSB BSB: and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed Him.
24 ULB ስለ እርሱ በሶርያ ምድር ሁሉ ተወራ፤ ሕዝቡም የታመሙትን ሁሉ፣ በልዩ ልዩ ደዌና ሕመም የሚሠቃዩትን፣ በአጋንንት የተያዙትንና የሚጥል በሽታ ያለባቸውን፣ ሽባዎችንም ወደ እርሱ አመጡ፤ እርሱም ፈወሳቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and He healed them.
25 ULB ከገሊላ፣ ከዐሥሩ ከተሞች፣ ከኢየሩሳሌም፣ ከይሁዳና ከዮርዳኖስ ወንዝ ማዶ እጅግ ብዙ ሕዝብ ተከተሉት፡፡ BSB BSB: Large crowds followed Him, having come from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
