2 ULB ስለዚህ አንተ ምጽዋት ስትሰጥ ግብዞች የሰዎችን ከበሬታ ለማግኘት በምኵራቦችና በጐዳና ላይ እንደሚያደርጉት፣ በፊትህ ጥሩንባ አታስነፋ፡፡ በእውነት እነግራችኋለሁ፣ ዋጋቸውን ተቀብለዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
3 ULB አንተ ግን ምጽዋት ስትሰጥ፣ የቀኝ እጅህ የሚያደርገውን የግራ እጅህ እንዲያውቅ አታድርግ፤ BSB BSB: But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 ULB ይኸውም ምጽዋትህ በስውር የሚሰጥ እንዲሆንና ከዚያም በስውር የሚያይ አባትህ ዋጋህን እንዲከፍልህ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
5 ULB ስትጸልዩም እንደ ግብዞች አትሁኑ፤ ግብዞች ሕዝብ እንዲያያቸው በምኵራቦችና በጐዳና ማእዘኖች ላይ ቆመው መጸለይ ይወዳሉና፡፡ በእውነት እነግራችኋለሁ፤ ዋጋቸውን ተቀብለዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
6 ULB አንተ ግን ስትጸልይ ወደ ጓዳህ ገብተህ በር ዝጋና በስውር ወዳለው አባትህ ጸልይ፤ በስውር የሚያይ አባትህም ዋጋህን ይከፍልሃል፡፡ BSB BSB: But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7 ULB ስትጸልይም አሕዛብ እንደሚያደርጉት ረብ የለሽ ድግግሞሽ አታድርግ፤ አሕዛብ በንግግራቸው ብዛት ምክንያት የሚሰሙ ይመስላቸዋልና፡፡ BSB BSB: And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.
8 ULB ስለዚህ እንደ እነርሱ አትሁኑ፤ እናንተ ከመለመናችሁ በፊት ምን እንደሚያስፈልጋችሁ አባታችሁ ያውቃልና፡፡ BSB BSB: Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9 ULB እንግዲህ እንደዚህ ጸልዩ፡- ‹በሰማይ የምትኖር አባታችን ሆይ፣ ስምህ ይቀደስ፡ BSB BSB: So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
10 ULB መንግሥትህ ትምጣ፡፡ ፈቃድህ በሰማይ እንደ ሆነች፣ እንዲሁ በምድር ትሁን፡፡ BSB BSB: Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 ULB የዕለት እንጀራችንን ዛሬ ስጠን፡፡ BSB BSB: Give us this day our daily bread.
12 ULB በደላችንን ይቅር በለን፣ እኛም የበደሉንን ይቅር እንደምንል፡፡ BSB BSB: And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 ULB ወደ ፈተና አታግባን፣ ከክፉው አድነን እንጂ፡፡› መንግሥት፣ ኀይል፣ ክብርም የአንተ ነውና፣ ለዘላለም፣ አሜን፡፡ BSB BSB: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
14 ULB የሰዎችን ኀጢአት ይቅር ብትሉ፣ የሰማይ አባታችሁ እናንተንም ይቅር ይላችኋል፡፡ BSB BSB: For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 ULB የሰዎችን ኀጢአት ይቅር ካላላችሁ ግን፣ የሰማይ አባታችሁ የእናንተን ኀጢአት ይቅር አይልም፡፡ BSB BSB: But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.
16 ULB ስትጾሙም ግብዞች እንደሚያደርጉት ፊታችሁን አታጠውልጉ፤ እንደ ጾመኛ ለመታየት ግብዞች ፊታቸውን ያጠወልጋሉና፡፡ በእውነት እነግራችኋለሁ፣ዋጋቸውን ተቀብለዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: When you fast, do not be somber like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.
17 ULB አንተ ግን ስትጾም ራስህን ተቀባ፣ ፊትሀንም ታጠብ፣ BSB BSB: But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,
18 ULB ይኸውም፣ በስውር ላለው የሰማይ አባትህ ብቻ እንጂ ለሰዎች ጾመኛ መስለህ እንዳትታይ ነው፡፡ በስውር የሚያይ የሰማይ አባትህም ዋጋህን ይከፍልሃል፡፡ BSB BSB: so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
19 ULB ብልና ዝገት በሚበላውና ሌቦችም ሰብረው በሚሰርቁበት በምድር ላይ ሀብትን ለራሳችሁ አታከማቹ፡፡ BSB BSB: Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 ULB ይልቁን ብልም ሆነ ዝገት በማያጠፋበት፣ ሌቦችም ሰብረው በማይሰርቁበት በሰማይ ሀብትን ለራሳችሁ አከማቹ፡፡ BSB BSB: But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 ULB ሀብታችሁ ባለበት ልባችሁም ይገኛልና፡፡ BSB BSB: For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 ULB ዐይን የሰውነት መብራት ነው፡፡ ስለሆነም ዐይንህ ጤናማ ከሆነ፣ መላ ሰውነትህ በብርሃን ይሞላል፡፡ BSB BSB: The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
23 ULB ዐይንህ ጤናማ ካልሆነ ግን፣ መላ ሰውነትህ ጨለማ ይሆናል፡፡ እንግዲህ በውስጥህ ያለው መብራት በእውነት ጨለማ ከሆነ፣ ጨለማው እንዴት ከባድ ይሆን BSB BSB: But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 ULB ! ሁለት ጌቶችን ማገልገል የሚችል ማንም የለም፤ አንዱን ይጠላል ሌላውንም ይወዳል፣ ወይም ለአንዱ ይታዘዛል ሌላውን ደግሞ ይንቃል፡፡ እግዚአብሔርንና ሀብትን ማገልገል አትችሉም፡፡ BSB BSB: No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
25 ULB ስለዚህ ስለ ሕይወታችሁ ምን እንደምትበሉ ወይም ምን እንደምትጠጡ፡- ወይም ስለ ሰውነታችሁ ምን እንደምትለብሱ አትጨነቁ፤ ሕይወት ከምግብ፣ ሰውነትስ ከልብስ አይበልጥምን? BSB BSB: Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
27 ULB ከእናንተ መካከል ተጨንቆ በዕድሜው ላይ አንድ ቀን መጨመር የሚችል ይገኛልን? BSB BSB: Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28 ULB ስለ ልብስስ የምትጨነቁት ለምንድን ነው? BSB BSB: And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.
29 ULB ነገር ግን እነግራችኋለሁ፤ ሰሎሞን እንኳ በዚያ ክብሩ ሁሉ ከእነዚህ አበቦች እንደ አንዱ አልለበሰም፡፡ BSB BSB: Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.
30 ULB እግዚአብሔር ዛሬ የሚታየውንና ነገ እሳት ውስጥ የሚጣለውን የሜዳ ሣር እንደዚህ ካለበሰ፣ እናንት እምነት የጐደላችሁ! እናንተንማ እንዴት እጅግ የበለጠ አያለብሳችሁም? BSB BSB: If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
32 ULB አሕዛብ እነዚህን ሁሉ ይፈልጋሉና፤ የሰማይ አባታችሁ እነዚህ ሁሉ እንደሚያስፈልጓችሁ ያውቃል፡፡ BSB BSB: For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 ULB ነገር ግን በመጀመሪያ መንግሥቱንና ጽድቁን ፈልጉ፤ ከዚያም እነዚህ ሁሉ ይጨመሩላችኋል፡፡ BSB BSB: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
34 ULB ስለዚህ ለነገ አትጨነቁ፤ ነገ ለራሱ ይጨነቃልና፡፡ ለቀኑ ክፋቱ ይበቃዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.
