2 ULB በምትፈርዱበት ፍርድ፥ ይፈረድባችኋል፤በምትሰፍሩበትም መስፈሪያ፥ ለእናንተም ይሰፈርላችኋል። BSB BSB: For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 ULB በራስህ ዐይን ውስጥ ያለውን ግንድ ሳታስተውል፥ በወንድምህ ዐይን ውስጥ ያለውን ጉድፍ የምታየው ለምንድን ነው? BSB BSB: Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?
4 ULB በአንተ ዐይንህ ውስጥ ግንድ እያለ፣ በወንድምህ ዐይን ውስጥ ያለውን ጉድፍ ላውጣልህ ማለት እንዴት ትችላለህ? BSB BSB: How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye?
5 ULB አንተ ግብዝ! በወንድምህ ዐይን ውስጥ ያለውን ጉድፍ በደንብ አይተህ ለማውጣት፣ በመጀመሪያ በራስህ ዐይን ውስጥ ያለውን ግንድ አስወግድ። BSB BSB: You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 ULB በእግራቸው እንዳይረግጡትና እናንተንም እንዳይቦጫጭቁዋችሁ፤ ቅዱስ የሆነውን ለውሾች አትስጡ፥ እንቁዎቻችሁንም ለዐሳማዎች አትጣሉ። BSB BSB: Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
7 ULB ለምኑ፣ ይሰጣችኋል፤ ፈልጉ፥ ታገኛላችሁ፤ አንኳኩ፣ ይከፈትላችኋል። BSB BSB: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
8 ULB የሚለምን ሰው ሁሉ ይቀበላልና፣ የሚፈልግ ሰውም ያገኛል፥ ለሚያንኳኳም ሰው ይከፈትለታል። BSB BSB: For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 ULB ከእናንተ መካከል ልጁ እንጀራ ሲለምነው፣ ድንጋይ የሚሰጠው፣ BSB BSB: Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
10 ULB ዐሣ ሲለምነው፣ እባብ የሚሰጠው? ምን ዐይነት ሰው ነው? BSB BSB: Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11 ULB እንግዲህ፥ እናንተ ክፉዎች የሆናችሁ ለልጆቻችሁ መልካም ስጦታ መስጠት ካወቃችሁ፥ በሰማይ የሚኖር አባታችሁ ለሚለምኑት አብዝቶ መልካም ስጦታን እንዴት አይስጣቸውም? BSB BSB: So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
12 ULB ስለዚህ፣ ማንኛውንም ሰዎች ሊያደርጉላችሁ የምትፈልጉትን ሁሉ፣ እናንተም ልታደርጉላቸው ይገባል፤ ምክንያቱም ሕጉም ነቢያቱም የሚያስተምሩት ይህንኑ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.
13 ULB በጠባቡ በር ግቡ፣ ምክንያቱም ወደ ጥፋት የሚወስደው መንገድ ሰፊ፣ የሚሄዱበትም ብዙዎች ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14 ULB በሩ ጠባብ፣ ወደ ሕይወት የሚወስደውም መንገድ ቀጭን ስለ ሆነ፣ የሚያገኙት ጥቂቶች ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.
15 ULB የበግ ቆዳ ለብሰው ከሚመጡባችሁ፣ በትክክል ግን ነጣቂ ተኩላዎች ከሆኑ፣ ከሃሰተኛ ነቢያት ተጠንቀቁ። BSB BSB: Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
17 ULB እንደዚያው፥ መልካም ዛፍ ሁሉ መልካም ፍሬ ያፈራል፣ መጥፎ ዛፍ መጥፎ ፍሬ ያፈራል። BSB BSB: Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 ULB መልካም ዛፍ ሆኖ መጥፎ ፍሬ የሚያፈራ፣ ወይም መጥፎ ዛፍ ሆኖ መልካም ፍሬ የሚያፈራ ዛፍ የለም። BSB BSB: A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19 ULB ማንኛውም መልካም ፍሬ የማያፈራ ዛፍ ሁሉ ይቆረጣል፣ ወደ እሳትም ይጣላል። BSB BSB: Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 ULB እንግዲህ በሚያፈሩት ፍሬ ታውቋቸዋላችሁ። BSB BSB: So then, by their fruit you will recognize them.
22 ULB በዚያ ቀን ብዙዎች፣ "ጌታ ሆይ፣ ጌታ ሆይ፣ በስምህ ትንቢት ተናግረን አልነበረም እንዴ፣ በስምህ አጋንንት አስወጥተን አልነበረም እንዴ፣ በስምህስ ብዙ ታላላቅ ነገሮችን አድርገን አልነበረም እንዴ?" ይሉኛል፡፡ BSB BSB: Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
23 ULB እኔም፣ “እናንት ክፉ አድራጊዎች፣ የት ዐውቃችሁና ነው? ከእኔ ራቁ ብዬ በግልጽ እነግራቸዋለሁ” BSB BSB: Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
24 ULB ስለዚህ፣ ቃሎቼን የሚሰማና የሚታዘዛቸው ልክ ቤቱን በድንጋይ ላይ የመሠረተ አስተዋይ ሰውን ይመስላል፡፡ BSB BSB: Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 ULB ዝናብ ዘነበ፣ ጎርፍም ጎረፈ፣ ነፋስም ነፈሰ ያንን ቤት መታው፤ ይሁን እንጂ ቤቱ በዐለት ላይ ስለ ተመሠረተ፣ አልወደቀም፡፡ BSB BSB: The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.
26 ULB ሆኖም ቃሌን ሰምቶ የማይታዘዝ፣ ቤቱን በአሸዋ ላይ የመሠረተ ሞኝ ሰውን ይመስላል፡፡ BSB BSB: But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
27 ULB ዝናብ ዘነበ፣ ጎርፍ ጎረፈ፣ ነፋስም ነፈሰ፣ ያንንም ቤት መታው፤ ቤቱም ወደቀ፤ አወዳደቁም ከባድ ሆነ። BSB BSB: The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its collapse!”
28 ULB ኢየሱስ እነዚህን ነገሮች ተናግሮ ሲጨርስ፣ ሕዝቡ በትምህርቱ ተገረሙ፡፡ BSB BSB: When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were astonished at His teaching,
29 ULB ያስተማረውም እንደ ባለስሥልጣን እንጂ ፣እንደ ጽሐፍት አልነበረም። BSB BSB: because He taught as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
