Nehemiah 12 (ULB)

1ብዙ ካህናትና የሌዊ ትውልዶች ከዘሩባቤል እና ከኢያሱ ጋር ከባቢሎን ተመለሱ፡፡ እነዚህም፡ ሠራያ፣ ኤርምያስ፣ ዕዝራ፣Now these are the priests and Levites who went up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and with Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

2አማርያ፣ ሙሉክ፣ ሐጡስ፣Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

3ሴኬንያ፣ ሬሁም፣ ሜሪሞት፣Shecaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,

4አዶ፣ ጌንቶን፣ አብያ፣Iddo, Ginnethon, Abijah,

5ሚያሚን፣ መዓድያ፣ ቢልጋ፣Mijamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,

6ሸማያ፣ ዮያሪብ፣ ዮዳኤ፣Shemaiah, Joiarib, Jedaiah,

7ሰሉ፣ ዓሞቅ፣ ኬልቅያስና ዮዳኤ ነበሩ፡፡ እነዚህ በኢያሱ ዘመን የካህናቱና የወንድሞቸው አለቆች ነበሩ፡፡Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah. These were the leaders of the priests and their associates in the days of Jeshua.

8የተመለሱት የሌዊ ትውልዶች ዝርዝር ይህ ነው፡፡ እነርሱም ኢያሱ፣ ቢንዊ፣ ቀድምኤል፣ ሰራብያ፣ ይሁዳ እና መታንየ ነበሩ፡፡ የእነዚሀ ሀላፊነት ለእግዚአብሔር የምስጋና ዝማሬ ማቅረብ ነበር፡፡The Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who, with his associates, led the songs of thanksgiving.

9በቅቡቅያ፣ ዑኒም እና ሌሎች የሌዊ ትውልዶች በዝማሬ ወቅት በትይዩ የሚቆሙ የዝማሬ ቡድን አበጁ፡፡Bakbukiah and Unni, their associates, stood across from them in the services.

10ከብዙ አመታት አስቀድሞ አያሱ ሊቀ ካህን ነበር፡፡ ኢያሱ የዩአቂም አባት ነበረ፣ ዮአቄም የኤልያሴብ አባት ነበረ፣ ኤልያሴብ የዩአዳን አባት ነበረ፣Jeshua was the father of Joiakim, Joiakim was the father of Eliashib, Eliashib was the father of Joiada,

11ዩአዳ የዮናታን አባት ነበረ፣ ዮናታን የያዱአን አባት ነበረ፡፡Joiada was the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan was the father of Jaddua.

12ዮአቂም የካህናቱ ሁሉ መሪ ነበረ፡፡ የካህናቱ ቤተሰቦች መሪዎች እነዚህ ነበሩ፡ የሠራያ ቤተሰብ መሪ ምራያ፣ የኤርምያስ ቤተሰብ መሪ ሐናንያ፣In the days of Joiakim, these were the heads of the priestly families: of the family of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;

13የዕዝራ ቤተሰብ መሪ ሜሱላም፣ የአማርያ ቤተሰብ መሪ ይሆሐናንof Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;

14የሙሊኪ ቤተሰብ መሪ ዮናታን፣ የሰብንያ ቤተሰብ መሪ ዮሴፍof Malluchi, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;

15ከካሪም ቤተሰብ ብዙዎቹ መሪዎች ዓድና ነበሩ፣ ከመራዮት ቤተሰብ ሔልቃይof Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;

16ከአዶ ቤተሰብ ዘካርያስ ከጌንቶን ቤተሰብ ሜሱላምof Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

17ከአብያ ቤተሰብ ዝክሪ መሪዎች ነበሩ፡፡ ከሚያሚን ቤተሰብም አንድ መሪ ነበር፡፡ ከሞዓድያ ቤተሰብ ፈልጣይ ነበር፡፡of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin and of Moadiah, Piltai;

18ከቢልጋ ቤተሰብ ሳሙስ፣ ከሸማያ ቤተሰብ ዮናታንof Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jonathan;

19ከዮያሪብ ቤተሰብ መትናይ፣ ከዮዳኤ ቤተሰብ ኦዚ፣of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;

20ከሳላይ ቤተሰብ ቃላይ፣ ከዓምቅ ቤተሰብ ዔቤር፣of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;

21ከኬልቅያስ ቤተሰብ ሐሽብያ፣of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; and of Jedaiah, Nethanel.

22ኤሊያሴብ ሌዋውያንን በሚመራበት ወቅት፣ የእነርሱ ሁሉ ዝርዝር ይህ ነው፡ ኤሊያሴብ፣ ዮአዳ፣ ዮሐና እና ያዱአ የካህናቱ ሁሉ መሪዎች ነበሩ፡፡ እነርሱ የሌዊ ትውልድ የሆኑትን ቤተሰቦች ስሞች መዘገቡ፡፡ዳርዮስ የፋርስ ንጉስ በነበረበት ዘመን የየቤተሰቡን መሪዎች የመመዝገቡ ሀላፊነት የካህናቱ ነበር፡፡In the days of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan, and Jaddua, during the reign of Darius the Persian, the heads of the families of the Levites and priests were recorded.

23የሌዊ ትውልድ የሆኑ የቤተሰብ መሪዎችን ስሞች ዝርዝር በታሪክ መጽሐፍ ጽፈው ነበር፡፡ የኤልያሴብ የልጅ ልጅ የሆነው ዮሐና የካህናት ሁሉ መሪ እስከ ሆነበት ጊዜ ድረስ ያሉትን ክንዋኔዎች መዝግበው ነበር፡፡As for the descendants of Levi, the family heads up to the days of Johanan son of Eliashib were recorded in the Book of the Chronicles.

24እነዚህ የሌዋውያን መሪዎች ነበሩ፡ ሐሽብያ፣ ሰራብያ፣ የቀድመኤል ልጅ ኢያሱ፣ እና ለእግዚአብሔር ውዳሴና ምስጋና ለማቅረብ ከእነርሱ ፊት ለፊት የቆሙ ወንድሞቸው፡፡ ይህንንም የእግዚአብሔር አገልጋይ የሆነው ንጉስ ዳዊት እንዳዘዛቸው እንደዚያው አደረጉ፡፡The leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, along with their associates, who stood across from them to give praise and thanksgiving as one section alternated with the other, as prescribed by David the man of God.

25በር ጠባቀዎቹ፣ መታንያ፣ በቅቡቅያ፣ አብድዩ፣ ሜሱላም ጤልሞንና ዓቁብ ነበሩ፡፡Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were gatekeepers who guarded the storerooms at the gates.

26አገረ ገዢው ነህምያ እና ካህኑ ዕዝራ በነበሩበት ወቅት፣ በኢዮሴዴቅ የልጅ ልጅ በኢያሱ ልጅ በዮቂም ዘመን ይህንን ሥራ ሰሩ፡፡ ዕዝራ የአይሁድን ህግጋትም በሚገባ ያውቅ ነበር፡፡They served in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and Ezra the priest and scribe.

27የኢየሩሳሌምን ቅጥር ስንመርቅ፣ የሌዊን ትወልዶች ከሚኖሩባቸው የእስራኤል አካባቢዎች የቅጥሩን ምርቃት ያከብሩ ዘንድ ጠራናቸው፡፡ እነርሱም እግዚአብሔርን ያመሰግኑ ብዙዎቹም በጽናጽልና፣ በበገና፣ በክራርና በሌሎች የክር ሙዚቃ መሳሪያዎች በመጫወት ይዘምሩ ነበር፡፡At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, the Levites were sought out from all their homes and brought to Jerusalem to celebrate the joyous dedication with thanksgiving and singing, accompanied by cymbals, harps, and lyres.

28በህብረት ያለማቋረጥ የሚዘምሩትን የሌዊ ወገኖች ሰበሰብን፡፡ ከሰፈሩበት ከኢየሩሳሌም ዙሪያ ከነጦፋውያን መንደሮችና ከደቡብ ምስራቅ ኢየሩሳሌም ወደ መሃል ኢየሩሳሌም መጡ፡፡The singers were also assembled from the region around Jerusalem, from the villages of the Netophathites,

29ከሰሜን ምስራቅ የኢየሩሳሌም ሶስት ቦታዎችም ከቤት ጌልገላ፣ ከጌባ አካባቢና ከዓዝሞት አካባቢ መጡ፡፡ መዘምራኑ ኢየሩሳሌም አቅራቢያ መንደሮችን መሰረቱ፡፡from Beth-gilgal, and from the fields of Geba and Azmaveth, for they had built villages for themselves around Jerusalem.

30ካህናቱና የሌዊ ወገኖች ራሳቸውን በእግዚአብሔር ፊት የመንጻት ሥርዓት አደረጉ፣ ለህዝቡም ይህንኑ ስርዓት አደረጉ፣ ለከተማዋ መግቢያዎችና በመጨረሻም ለቅጥሩ ጭምር ስርዓቱን ፈጸሙ፡፡After the priests and Levites had purified themselves, they purified the people, the gates, and the wall.

31ከዚያ በቅጥሩ ጫፍ የይሁዳ መሪዎችን በአንድነት ሰበሰብኩ፣ እግዚአብሔርን እያገገኑ በቅጥሩ ላይ በከተማዋ ዙሪያ በሰልፍ እንዲዞሩ ሁለት ትላልቅ ቡድኖችን እዲመሩ ሾምኳቸው፡፡ በከተማይቱ ትይዩ ሲሆኑ፣ አንዱ ቡድን ወደ ቀኝ የቆሻሻ መጣያው በር ወደሚባለው ሄደ፡፡Then I brought the leaders of Judah up on the wall, and I appointed two great thanksgiving choirs. One was to proceed along the top of the wall to the right, toward the Dung Gate.

32ከመሪዎቻቸው በኋላ ሆሻያና የይሁዳ እኩሌቶቹ መሪዎች ተሰለፉ፡፡Hoshaiah and half the leaders of Judah followed,

33ከእነርሱ በኋላ የተከተሏቸው ዓዛርያስ፣ ዕዝራ፣ ሜሱላም፣along with Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,

34ይዳ፣ ብንያም፣ ሸማያ፣ ኤርምያስ፣Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, Jeremiah,

35እና መለከት የሚጫወቱ አንዳንድ የክህናቱ ወንዶች ልጆች ናቸው፡፡ ከእነዚህ ውስጥ የአሳፍ ትውልድ የሆኑት የዘኩር ልጅ፣ የሚካያ ልጅ፣ የመታንያ ልጅ፣ የሸማያ ልጅ፣ የዮናታን ልጅ ዘካርያስ ይገኙበታል፡፡and some of the priests with trumpets, and also Zechariah son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph,

36ከእነዚህ በኋላ የሚገዙት የዘካርያስ ቤተሰቦች ሌሎች አባላት ነበሩ፡፡ ከእነዚህም ሸማያ፣ ኤዝርኤል፣ ሚላላይ፣ ጊላላይ፣ መዓይ፣ ናትናኤል፣ ይሁዳ፣ እና አናኒምን ያካትታል፡፡ ሁሉም ንጉስ ዳዊት ከብዙ አመታት አስቀድሞ ይጫወትበት የነበሩ እነዚያኑ አይነት የሙዚቃ መሳሪያዎችን ይጫወቱ ነበር፡፡ የአይሁድን ህግጋት በሚገባ የሚያውቀው ሰው ዕዝራ፣ ከዚህ ቡድን ፊት ሰልፉን ይመራ ነበር፡፡and his associates—Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah, and Hanani—with the musical instruments prescribed by David the man of God. Ezra the scribe led the procession.

37የፋፏቴ በር ሲደርሱ፣ ወደ ዳዊት ከተማ ደረጃዎችን ወጡ፣ የዳዊትን ቤተ መንግስት አልፈው፣ ከዚያ ውሃ በር አጠገብ ወደሚገኘው ቅጥር በከተማዋ ምስራቅ አቅጣጫ ሄዱ፡፡At the Fountain Gate they went directly up the steps of the City of David on the ascent to the wall and passed above the house of David to the Water Gate on the east.

38ለያህዌ ይዘምርና ያመሰግን የነበረው ሌላው የዝማሬ ቡድን በቅጥሩ ላይ በግራ በኩል በሰልፍ አለፈ፡፡ እኔ ከህዝቡ ከፊሉን ይዤ ተከተልኳቸው፡፡ እኛ የእቶን ግንቡን አልፈን ወደ ሰፊው ቅጥር አለፍን፡፡The second thanksgiving choir proceeded to the left, and I followed it with half the people along the top of the wall, past the Tower of the Ovens to the Broad Wall,

39ከዚያ ተነስተን የኤፍሬምን በር፣ የጄቫናን በር፣ የአሣን በር፣ የሐናንኤልን ግንብ፣ የመቶ ወታደሮችን በር አልፈን ወደ በጎች በር ተጓዝን፡፡ ወደ ቤተ መቅደሱ በር ስንቃረብ ሰልፋችንን ጨረስን፡፡over the Gate of Ephraim, the Jeshanah Gate, the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel, and the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Sheep Gate. And they stopped at the Gate of the Guard.

40ሁለቱም ቡድኖች እየዘመሩና እርሱን እያመሰገኑ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ቤት ደረሱ፡፡ በዚያም በየስፍራቸው ቆሙ፡፡ እኔና ከእኔ ጋር የነበሩ መሪዎችም በስፍራችን ቆምን፡፡The two thanksgiving choirs then stood in the house of God, as did I, along with the half of the officials accompanying me,

41የእኔ ቡድን መለከት የሚነፉትን እነዚህን ካህናት ያጠቃልላል፡ ኤልያቄም፣ መዕሤያ፣ ሚንያሚን፣ ሚካያ፣ ኤልዮዔናይ፣ ዘካርያስ እና ሐናንያ፣as well as the priests with their trumpets—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah—

42ሌሎቹም መዕሤያ፣ ሸማያ፣ አልዓዛር፣ ኦዚ፣ ይሆሐናን፣ መልክያ፣ ኤላም እና ኤድር ናቸው፡፡ መሪያቸው ይዝራሕያ የሆነው መዘምራኑ ድምቸውን ከፍ አድርገው ዘመሩ፡፡and also Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malchijah, Elam, and Ezer. Then the choirs sang out under the direction of Jezrahiah.

43ከቤተ መቅደሱ ውጭ ከሄድን በኋላ ብዙ መስዋዕቶችን አቀረብን፡፡ እኛ ወንዶች ሁላችን እግዚብሔር በጣም ደስተኞች ስላደረገን ደስ አለን፡፡ ሴቶቹና ልጆችም እንደዚሁ ደስ አላቸው፤ በሩቅ ያሉ ሰዎች እኛ በኢሩሳሌም ውስጥ ሆነን የምናሰማውን ድምጽ መስማት ይችሉ ነበር፡፡On that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard from afar.

44በዚያን ቀን ህዝቡ ለቤተ መቅደስ የሰጠውን ገንዘብ ለሚያስቀምጡበት ግምጃ ቤት ሀላፊ የሚሆኑ ወንዶች ተሾሙ፡፡ እነዚህ ሰዎች ለአስራትና በየአመቱ ለሚሰበሰበው እህልና ፍራፍሬ በኩራቶችም ሀላፊዎች ነበሩ፡፡ እነዚሁ ሰዎች ወደ ግምጃ ቤቶቹ ከእርሻዎች ምርት ለካህናቱና ለሌዊ ትውልዶች ያመጡ ነበር፡፡ ይህ የተደረገው የይሁዳ ሰዎች በያህዌ ቤት የሚያገለግሉ አገልጋዮች እንዲኖር ይፈልጉ ስለነበር ነው፡፡And on that same day men were appointed over the rooms that housed the supplies, contributions, firstfruits, and tithes. The portions specified by the Law for the priests and Levites were gathered into these storerooms from the fields of the villages, because Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who were serving.

45ካህናቱና ሌዋውያኑ ነገሮችን ለማንጻት፣ በማንጻት ስርዓቱ ያህዌን ያገለግሉ ነበር፤ መዘምራኑ በቤተ መቅደስ፣ እንዲሁም በር ጠባቂዎቹ ንጉስ ዳዊትና ልጁ ሰለሞን እንዲደረግ እንደ ደነገጉት ስራቸውን ያከናውኑ ነበር፡፡They performed the service of their God and the service of purification, along with the singers and gatekeepers, as David and his son Solomon had prescribed.

46ከዳዊትና ከአሳፍ ዘመን አንስቶ፣ የዘማሪዎች መሪዎች ነበሩ፤ መዘምራኑም እግዚአብሔርን ለማወደስና ለማመስገን ይዘምሩ ነበር፡፡For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph, there were directors for the singers and for the songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

47ዘሩባቤል በነበረበት አመታትና በአገረ ገዥው ነህምያ ዘመን፣ ዘማርያኑና የቤተ መቅደስ በር ጠባቂዎች በየዕለቱ የሚያስፈልጋቸውን ምግብ መላው እስራኤል ያወጣ ነበር፡፡ ህዝቡ ለሌዋውያን ኑሮ የሚያስፈልገውን ያስቀምጡላቸውና ሌዋውያኑ ደግሞ ከካህናቱ ቀዳሚ መሪ ለሆኑት ለአሮን ትውልዶች የሚያስፈልገውን ያስቀምጡላቸው ነበር፡፡So in the days of Zerubbabel and Nehemiah, all Israel contributed the daily portions for the singers and gatekeepers. They also set aside daily portions for the Levites, and the Levites set aside daily portions for the descendants of Aaron.
