1 ULB ያህዌ በሲና ተራራ ከሙሴ ጋር በተነጋገረበት ጊዜ የአሮንና የሙሴ ትውልዶች ታሪክ ይህ ነበር፡፡ BSB BSB: This is the account of Aaron and Moses at the time the LORD spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.
2 ULB የአሮን ልጆች ስሞቻቸው የበኩር ልጁ ናዳብ፣ እንዲሁም አብዩድ፣ አልዓዛር እና ኢታምር ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, then Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3 ULB የአሮን ልጆች ስሞች እነዚህ ናቸው፣ እነዚህ የተቀቡ ካህናትና እንደ ካህናት ሊያገለግሉ የተሾሙ ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: These were Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.
4 ULB ነገር ግን ናዳብ እና አብዩድ በሲና ምድረበዳ ተቀባይነት የሌለው እሳት ለእርሱ ሲሰዉ በያህዌ ፊት ወድቀው ሞቱ፡፡ ናዳብና አብዩድ ልጅ አልነበራቸውም፣ ስለዚህም አልዓዛርና ኢታምር ብቻ ከአባታቸው ከአሮን ጋር ካህናት ሆነው አገለገሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: Nadab and Abihu, however, died in the presence of the LORD when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD in the Wilderness of Sinai. And since they had no sons, only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
5 ULB ያህዌ ሙሴን እንዲህ አለው፣ BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
6 ULB “የሌዊን ጎሳ ይረዱት ዘንድ ወደ ካህኑ ወደ አሮን አምጣቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: “Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.
7 ULB በአሮንና በመላው ማህበሩ ስም በመገናኛው ድንኳን ፊት አገልግሎት ይስጡ፡፡ በቤተመቅደሱ ውስጥ ያገልግሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: They are to perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, attending to the service of the tabernacle.
8 ULB በመገናኛው ድንኳን ውስጥ ላሉ ነገሮች ሁሉ ጥንቃቄ ያድርጉ፣ እንዲሁም የእስራኤል ጎሳዎች የቤተ መቅደሱን አገልግሎት እንድፈጽም ይርዱ፡፡ BSB BSB: They shall take care of all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting and fulfill obligations for the Israelites by attending to the service of the tabernacle.
9 ULB ሌዋውያኑን ለአሮንና ለልጆቹ ስጥ፡፡ እነርሱ የእስራኤልን ሕዝብ እንዲያገለግል ሙሉ ለሙሉ የተሰጡ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: Assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they have been given exclusively to him from among the Israelites.
10 ULB አሮንንና ልጆቹን ካህን አድርገህ ሹማቸው፣ ነገር ግን ማናቸውም ባዕድ ወደ ቤተ መቅደሱ ቢቀርብ ይገደል፡፡” BSB BSB: So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood; but any outsider who approaches the tabernacle must be put to death.”
11 ULB ያህዌ ሙሴን እንዲህ አለው፣ BSB BSB: Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 ULB “እነሆ፣ እኔ ከእስራኤል ህዝብ መሃል ሌዋውያንን መረጥኩ፡፡ ከእስራኤል ሕዝብ መሃል በኩር የሆነውን ወንድ ሁሉ ከመውሰድ ፈንታ ይህን አድርጌያለሁ፡፡ ሌዋዊያን የእኔ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: “Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel in place of every firstborn Israelite from the womb. The Levites belong to Me,
13 ULB ማናቸውም በኩር የእኔ ነው፡፡ በግብጽ ምድር በኩሩን ሁሉ በመታሁ ዕለት፣ በእስራኤል በኩር ሆኖ የተወለደውን የሰውንም ሆነ የእንስሳትን በኩር ሁሉ ለራሴ ለየሁ፡፡ እነርሱ የእኔ ናቸው፡፡ እኔ ያህዌ ነኝ፡፡” BSB BSB: for all the firstborn are Mine. On the day I struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They are Mine; I am the LORD.”
14 ULB በሲና ምድረበዳ ያህዌ ሙሴን ተናገረው፡፡ እንዲህም አለው፣ BSB BSB: Then the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying,
15 ULB “በእያንዳንዱ ቤተሰብ፣ በአባቶቻቸው ቤቶች የሌዊን ትውልዶች ቁጠር፡፡ አንድ ወር እና ከዚያ በላይ ዕድሜ ያለውን ወንድ ሁሉ ቁጠር፡፡” BSB BSB: “Number the Levites by their families and clans. You are to count every male a month old or more.”
16 ULB ሙሴ እንዲያደርግ በታዘዘው መሠረት የያህዌን ቃል ሰምቶ ቆጠራቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he had been commanded.
17 ULB የሌዊ ልጆች ስም፣ ጌድሶን፣ ቀዓትና ሜራሪ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: These were the sons of Levi by name: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
18 ULB ከጌድሶን ልጆች የመጡ ነገዶች ሎቢኒ እና ሰሜኢ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: These were the names of the sons of Gershon by their clans: Libni and Shimei.
19 ULB ከቀዓት ልጆች የመጡ ነገዶች፣ አንበረም፣ ይስዓር፣ኬብሮን እና ዑዝኤል ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: The sons of Kohath by their clans were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
20 ULB ከሜራሪ ልጆች የመጡ ነገዶች፣ ሞሖሊና ሙሴ ናቸው፡፡ በነገድ የተዘረዘሩ የሌዋውያን ነገዶች እነዚህ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: And the sons of Merari by their clans were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites, according to their families.
21 ULB የሊቤናና የሰሜአ ነገዶች የመጡት ከጌርሶን ነው፡፡ እነዚህ የጌርሶን ነገዶች ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: From Gershon came the Libnite clan and the Shimeite clan; these were the Gershonite clans.
22 ULB አንድ ወር ከሞላው አንስቶ ከዚያ በላይ ዕድሜ ያለው ወንድ ሁሉ ተቆጥሮ ነበር፣ በጠቅላላው 7500 ነበሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The number of all the males a month old or more was 7,500.
23 ULB የጌርሶን ነገዶች ከቤተመቅደሱ ምዕራብ አቅጣጫ ይስፈሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle,
24 ULB የጌርሶንን ትውልዶች የላኤለ ልጅ ኤሊሳፍ ይምራ፡፡ BSB BSB: and the leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael.
25 ULB የጌርሶን ቤተሰብ የመገናኛው ድንኳን ጨምሮ የማደሪያውን ድንኳን ኃላፊነት ይውሰድ፡፡ እነርሱ ለድንኳኑ፣ ለመደረቢያዎቹና ለመገናኛው ድንኳን መግቢያ ሆኖ ለሚያገለግለው መጋረጃ ጥንቃቄ ያደርጉ፡፡ BSB BSB: The duties of the Gershonites at the Tent of Meeting were the tabernacle and tent, its covering, the curtain for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,
26 ULB ለአደባባዩ ጌጦች ጥንቃቄ ማድረግ አለባቸው፣ በአደባባይ መግቢያ ላይ ለሚገኘው መጋረጃ፣ ቅዱሱን ስፍራና መሰዊያውን የሚከበውን አደባባይ ይጠብቁ፡፡ የመገናኛው ድንኳን ገመዶች እና በውስጡ የሚገኘውን ነገር ሁሉ ይጠብቁ፡፡ BSB BSB: the curtains of the courtyard, the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard that surrounds the tabernacle and altar, and the cords—all the service for these items.
27 ULB ከቀዓት የመጡት ነገዶች እነዚህ ናቸው የአንበረማውያን ነገድ የይሰዓራውያን ነገድ፣ የኬብሮናውያን ነገድ፣ እና የዑዝኤላውያን ነገድ ናቸው፡፡ እነዚህ ነገዶች የቀዓት ወገኖች ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: From Kohath came the clans of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites; these were the clans of the Kohathites.
28 ULB አንድ ወር እና ከዚያ በላይ ዕድሜ ያላቸው 8600 ወንዶች የያህዌ የሆኑ ነገሮችን ለመጠበቅ ተቆጠሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The number of all the males a month old or more was 8,600. They were responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.
29 ULB የቀዓት ቤተሰብ ትውልዶች ከቤተ መቅደሱ በስተደቡብ አቅጣጫ ይስፈሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The clans of the Kohathites were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle,
30 ULB የዑዝኤል ልጅ ኤሊሳፈን የቀዓታዊያንን ነገድ ይምራ፡፡ BSB BSB: and the leader of the families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan son of Uzziel.
31 ULB እነርሱ ታቦቱን፣ ጠረጴዛውን፣ የመቅረዝ ማስቀመጫውን፣ መሰዊያዎቹን፣ ለአገልግሎታቸው የሚጠቀሙባቸውን ቅዱሳን ዕቃዎች፣ መጋረጃውን፣ እና በዚያ ዙሪያ ያለውን ስራ ሁሉ ይንከባከቡ፡፡ BSB BSB: Their duties were the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used with them, and the curtain—all the service for these items.
32 ULB የካህኑ የአሮን ልጅ አልዓዛር ሌዋውያንን የሚመሩትን ሰዎች ይምሩ፡፡ እርሱ ቅዱሱን ስፍራ የሚንከባከቡትን ሰዎች ይቆጣጠር፡፡ BSB BSB: The chief of the leaders of the Levites was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest; he oversaw those responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.
33 ULB ሁለቱ ነገዶች ኮሜራሪ ነገድ የመጡ ናቸው፡ እነዚህም የሞሖላውያን ነገድ እና የሙሳያውያን ነገድ ናቸው፡፡ እነዚህ ነገዶች የመጡት ከሜራሪ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: From Merari came the clans of the Mahlites and Mushites; these were the Merarite clans.
34 ULB አንድ ወርና ከዚያ በላይ ዕድሜ ያላቸው 6200 ወንዶች ተቆጠሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The number of all the males a month old or more was 6,200.
35 ULB የሜራሪን ነገድ የአቢካኤል ልጅ ሲሪኤል ይምራ፡፡ BSB BSB: The leader of the families of the Merarites was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
36 ULB እነርሱ የቤተመቅደሱን ጣውላዎች፣ መቀርቀሪያዎች፣ ምሰሶዎች፣ መሰረቶች፣ ሁሉንም መገልገያዎች፣ እና ከእነርሱ ጋር የተያያዙ ነገሮች ሁሉ፣ BSB BSB: The duties assigned to the sons of Merari were the tabernacle’s frames, crossbars, posts, bases, and all its equipment—all the service for these items,
37 ULB መቅደሱ ዙሪያ የሚገኙ ምሰሶዎችና ቋሚዎችን ጨምሮ፣ ከማስገቢያዎቻቸው፣ ችካሎችና ገመዶች ጋር ይጠብቁ፡፡ BSB BSB: as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes.
38 ULB ሙሴ፣ አሮን እና ልጆቹ ከመገናኛው ድንኳን ፊት ለፊት፣ በፀሀይ ማውጫ ከቤተ መቅደሱ በስተ ምስራቅ ይስፈሩ፡፡ እነርሱ በቅድስተ ቅዱሳን ለሚከናወኑ ተግባራት እና ለእስራኤል ህዝብ ግዴታዎች ሀላፊነት አለባቸው፡፡ ማንኛውም ወደ ቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑ የሚቀርብ ባዕድ ይገደል፡፡ BSB BSB: Moses, Aaron, and Aaron’s sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, before the Tent of Meeting. They were to perform the duties of the sanctuary as a service on behalf of the Israelites; but any outsider who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.
39 ULB ሙሴና አሮን ያህዌ እንዳዘዘው በሌዊ ነገዶች ውስጥ የሚገኙትን አንድ ወርና ከዚያ በላይ ዕድሜ ያላቸውን ወንዶች ሁሉ ቆጠሩ፡፡ ሃያ ሁለት ሺህ ወንዶችን ቆጠሩ፡፡ BSB BSB: The total number of Levites that Moses and Aaron counted by their clans at the LORD’s command, including all the males a month old or more, was 22,000.
40 ULB ያህዌ ሙሴን እንዲህ አለው፣ “አንድ ወር ከዚያ በላይ ዕድሜ ያላቸውን በኩር የሆኑ የእስራኤል ወንዶች ቁጠር፡፡ ስሞቻቸውን ጻፍ፡፡ BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Number every firstborn male of the Israelites a month old or more, and list their names.
41 ULB በእስራኤል ህዝብ በኩር ምትክ ሌዋውያንን ለእኔ ውሰድ፡፡ እኔ ያህዌ ነኝ፡፡ እንደዚሁም የሌዋውያንን ቀንድ ከብቶች፣ በመጀመሪያ በሚወለዱ የእስራኤላውያን የቀንድ ከብቶች ምትክ ውሰድ፡፡” BSB BSB: You are to take the Levites for Me—I am the LORD—in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites.”
42 ULB ያህዌ እንዳዘዘው ሙሴ የእስራኤልን ሰዎች በኩር በሙሉ ቆጠረ፡፡ BSB BSB: So Moses numbered all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the LORD had commanded him.
43 ULB ዕድሜያቸው አንድ ወርና ከዚያ በላይ የሆኑትን በኩር ወንዶች ሁሉ በስም ቆጠረ፡፡ 22273 ወንዶችን ቆጠረ፡፡ BSB BSB: The total number of the firstborn males a month old or more, listed by name, was 22,273.
44 ULB እንደገና፣ ያህዌ ሙሴን ተናገረው፡፡ እንዲህም አለው፣ BSB BSB: Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
45 ULB “በእስራኤል ህዝብ በኩር ሁሉ ምትክ ሌዋውያንን ውሰድ፡፡ በህዝቡ የቀንድ ከብት ምትክ የሌዋውያንን ቀንድ ከብት ውሰድ፡፡ ሌዋውያን የእኔ ናቸው፡፡ እኔ ያህዌ ነኝ፡፡ BSB BSB: “Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites belong to Me; I am the LORD.
46 ULB ከሌዋውያን ቁጥር በላይ የሆኑትን 273 የእስራኤል በኩሮች ለመዋጀት ለእያንዳንዳቸው አምስት ሰቅሎች ተቀበል፡፡ BSB BSB: To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who outnumber the Levites,
47 ULB የቅድስተ ቅዱሳኑን ሰቅል እንደ መደበኛ ክብደት ተጠቀም፡፡ (አንድ ሰቅል አምሳ አምስት ግራም ነው) BSB BSB: you are to collect five shekels for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel of twenty gerahs.
48 ULB ያገኘኸውን የመዋጆ ዋጋ ለአሮንና ለልጆቹ ስጥ፡፡” BSB BSB: Give the money to Aaron and his sons as the redemption price for the excess among the Israelites.”
49 ULB ስለዚህም ሙሴ በሌዋውያን ከተዋጁት በላይ ቁጥራቸው ያለፈውን መዋጃ ክፍያ ሰበሰበ፡፡ BSB BSB: So Moses collected the redemption money from those in excess of the number redeemed by the Levites.
50 ULB ሙሴ ከእስራኤል ሕዝብ በኩሮች ገንዘብ ሰበሰበ፡፡ በቤተ መቅደሱ ሚዛን መዝኖ 1365 ሰቅሎች ሰበሰበ፡፡ BSB BSB: He collected the money from the firstborn of the Israelites: 1,365 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.
51 ULB ሙሴ ለአሮንና ለልጆቹ የመዋጃውን ገንዘብ ሰጣቸው፡፡ ሙሴ ያህዌ እንዲያደርግ የተናገረውን ሁሉ አደረገ፣ ያህዌ እንዳዘዘው አደረገ፡፡ BSB BSB: And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
