1 ULB ጥበበኛ ሴት ቤቷን ትሰራለች፣ ሞኝ ሴት ግን በገዛ እጇ ታፈርሰዋለች፡፡ BSB BSB: Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.
2 ULB በጽድቅ የሚሄድ ሰው እግዚአብሔርን ይፈራል፣ በመንገዱ ታማኝ ያልሆነ ግን ይንቀዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: He who walks in uprightness fears the LORD, but the one who is devious in his ways despises Him.
3 ULB ከሞኝ አፍ የትዕቢት በትር ይወጣል፣ የጥበበኛ ከንፈሮች ግን ይጠብቋቸዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: The proud speech of a fool brings a rod to his back, but the lips of the wise protect them.
4 ULB ከብቶች በሌሉበት የመመገቢያ ገንዳ ባዶ ይሆናል፣ በበሬ ጉልበት ግን ብዙ ምርት ይገኛል፡፡ BSB BSB: Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but an abundant harvest comes through the strength of the ox.
5 ULB እውነተኛ ምስክር አይዋሽም፣ ሐሰተኛ ምስክር ግን ውሸትን ይለፈልፋል፡፡ BSB BSB: An honest witness does not deceive, but a dishonest witness pours forth lies.
6 ULB ፌዘኛ ጥበብን ይፈልጋል ሆኖም አያገኛትም፣ እውቀት ግን ወደ አስተዋይ ሰው በቀላሉ ትመጣለች፡፡ BSB BSB: A mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.
7 ULB ከሞኝ ሰው ራቅ፣ ከከንፈሮቹ እውቀትን አታገኝምና፡፡ BSB BSB: Stay away from a foolish man; you will gain no knowledge from his speech.
8 ULB የጠንቃቃ ሰው ጥበብ መንገዱን ማስተዋል ነው፣ የሞኞች ከንቱነት ግን ማታለል ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way, but the folly of fools deceives them.
9 ULB ሞኞች የኃጢአት መስዋዕት በሚቀርብበት ጊዜ ያፌዛሉ፣ በጻድቃን መካከል ግን ቸርነት ይገኛል፡፡ BSB BSB: Fools mock the making of amends, but goodwill is found among the upright.
10 ULB ልብ የራሱን ምሬት ያውቃል፣ ደስታውንም ሌላ ሰው አይጋራውም፡፡ BSB BSB: The heart knows its own bitterness, and no stranger shares in its joy.
11 ULB የክፉ ሰዎች ቤት ይጠፋል፣ የጻድቃን ድንኳን ግን ይስፋፋል፡፡ BSB BSB: The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish.
12 ULB ለሰው ቅን የምትመስል መንገድ አለች፣ ፍጻሜዋ ግን ወደ ሞት ይመራል፡፡ BSB BSB: There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
13 ULB ልብ በሐዘን ውስጥ ሆኖ ሊስቅ ይችላል፣ የደስታም ፍጻሜ ሐዘን ሊሆን ይችላል፡፡ BSB BSB: Even in laughter the heart may ache, and joy may end in sorrow.
14 ULB ታማኝ ያልሆነ ሰው ለመንገዱ የሚገባውን ዋጋ ያገኛል፣ መልካም ሰው ግን የራሱ የሆነውን ያገኛል፡፡ BSB BSB: The backslider in heart receives the fill of his own ways, but a good man is rewarded for his ways.
16 ULB ጥበበኛ ሰው ይፈራል ከክፉም ይርቃል፣ ሞኝ ግን ራሱን ታምኖ ማስጠንቀቂያን ችላ ይላል፡፡ BSB BSB: A wise man fears and turns from evil, but a fool is careless and reckless.
17 ULB ለቁጣ የሚቸኩል ሰው ከንቱ ነገሮችን ይፈጽማል፣ ክፋትን የሚያሴር ሰው ደግሞ ይጠላል፡፡ BSB BSB: A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a devious man is hated.
18 ULB እውቀት አልባ ሰዎች ሞኝነትን ይወርሳሉ፣ አስተዋይ ሰዎች ግን በእውቀት ይከበባሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
19 ULB ክፉዎች በመልካም ሰዎች ፊት ይሰግዳሉ፣ ኃጢአተኞች ደግሞ በጻድቃን ደጅ ይሰግዳሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: The evil bow before the good, and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
20 ULB ድሃ ሰው በራሱ ባልንጀሮችም ጭምር ይጠላል፣ ባለጠጋ ሰዎች ግን ብዙ ወዳጆች አሏቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: The poor man is hated even by his neighbor, but many are those who love the rich.
21 ULB ለጎረቤቱ ንቀትን የሚያሳይ ኃጢአትን ያደርጋል፣ ለድሃ በጎነትን የሚያሳይ ግን ደስተኛ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who shows kindness to the poor.
22 ULB ክፋትን የሚያሴሩ አይስቱምን? መልካምን ለማድረግ የሚያቅዱ ግን በኪዳን የተመሰረተ ታማኝነትና እውነተኛነት ይቀበላሉ፡፡ BSB BSB: Do not those who contrive evil go astray? But those who plan goodness find loving devotion and faithfulness.
23 ULB በብዙ ድካም ትርፍ ይገኛል፣ ወሬ ግን ወደ ድህነት ይመራል፡፡ BSB BSB: There is profit in all labor, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
24 ULB የጥበበኞች ዘውድ ባለጠግነታቸው ነው፣ የሞኞች ሞኝነት ግን ተጨማሪ ከንቱነትን ያመጣባቸዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: The crown of the wise is their wealth, but the effort of fools is folly.
25 ULB እውነተኛ ምስክር ሕይወት ያድናል፣ ሐሰተኛ ምስክር ግን ውሸትን ይለፈልፋል፡፡ BSB BSB: A truthful witness saves lives, but one who utters lies is deceitful.
26 ULB ሰው እግዚአብሔርን ሲፈራ፣ በእርሱ ይታመናል፤ እነዚህ ነገሮች ደግሞ ለልጆቹ እንደ ብርቱ መጠጊያ ስፍራ ይሆኗቸዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: He who fears the LORD is secure in confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge.
27 ULB እግዚአብሔርን መፍራት የሕይወት ምንጭ ነው፣ ሰውን ከሞት ወጥመድ እንዲያመልጥ ያደርገዋል፡፡ BSB BSB: The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.
28 ULB የንጉስ ክብር የሚገኘው ከሕዝቡ ብዛት ነው፣ ሕዝብ በሌለበት ግን ልዑል ይጠፋል፡፡ BSB BSB: A large population is a king’s splendor, but a lack of subjects is a prince’s ruin.
29 ULB ትዕግስተኛ ሰው ታላቅ ማስተዋል አለው፣ ለቁጣ የሚቸኩል ሰው ግን ሞኝነትን ከፍ ከፍ ያደርጋል፡፡ BSB BSB: A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man promotes folly.
30 ULB በሰላም የተሞላ ልብ ለሰውነት ሕይወት ነው፣ ቅናት ግን አጥንትን ያበሰብሳል፡፡ BSB BSB: A tranquil heart is life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
31 ULB ድሀን የሚያስጨንቅ ሰው ፈጣሪውን ይሰድባል፣ ለድሀ ቸርነትን የሚያሳይ ግን ፈጣሪውን ያከብራል፡፡ BSB BSB: Whoever oppresses the poor taunts their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors Him.
32 ULB ክፉ ሰው በክፉ ስራው ይወድቃል፣ ጻድቅ ግን በሞት ጊዜ እንኳ መጠጊያ አለው፡፡ BSB BSB: The wicked man is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous man has a refuge even in death.
33 ULB ጥበብ በአስተዋይ ሰው ዘንድ ትኖራለች፣ በሞኞች መካከል እንኳ ራሷን ታሳውቃለች፡፡ BSB BSB: Wisdom rests in the heart of the discerning; even among fools she is known.
34 ULB ጽድቅን ማድረግ ህዝብን ከፍ ከፍ ያደርጋል፣ ኃጢአት ግን ለማንኛውም ሕዝብ ውርደት ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.
35 ULB የንጉስ ሞገስ ተግተው በሚሰሩ አገልጋዮቹ ላይ ነው፣ ቁጣው ግን በአሳፋሪ አገልጋይ ላይ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: A king delights in a wise servant, but his anger falls on the shameful.
