1. 1ULBእኔ በሜዳ የሚገኝ አበባ፥ በሸለቆም የሚገኝ አበባ ብቻ ነኝ። ሰውየው ሲናገራት፥BSBBSB: I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valley.
2. 2ULBውዴ ሆይ፥ አበባ በእሾህ መካከል እንደሆነ አንቺም በሀገሬ ሴቶች ልጆች መካከል ነሽ። ሴቲቱ ለራስዋ ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: Like a lily among the thorns is my darling among the maidens.
3. 3ULBበዱር ዛፍ መካከል እንዳለ የእንኮይ ዛፍ የእኔም ውድ በጎልማሶች መካከል ነው። በታላቅ ደስታ ከጥላው ሥር ተቀመጥኩ፥ የፍሬውም ጣዕም ጣፋጭ ነው።BSBBSB: Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.
4. 4ULBወደ ግብዣው አዳራሽ አመጣኝ፥ በእኔ ላይ ያለው ሰንደቁ ፍቅር ነው። ሴቲቱ ለፍቅረኛዋ ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: He has brought me to the house of wine, and his banner over me is love.
5. 5ULBበዘቢብ ጥፍጥፍ ነፍስ ዝሩብኝ፥ በእንኮይ ጭማቂም አበርቱኝ፥ በፍቅር ተይዤ ደክሜአለሁና። ሴቲቱ ለራስዋ ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: Sustain me with raisins; refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love.
6. 6ULBግራ እጁ ከአንገቴ ሥር ነው፥ ቀኝ እጁም ያቅፈኛል። ሴቲቱ ለሌላዋ ሴት ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: His left hand is under my head, and his right arm embraces me.
7. 7ULBየኢየሩሳሌም ሴቶች ልጆች፥ በፍቅር ግንኙነታችን ወቅት እስክንረካ ድረስ ላታቋርጡን በሜዳ ፍየሎችና በአጋዘኖች ቃል እንድትገቡልኝ እፈልጋለሁ። ሴቲቱ ለራሷ ትናገራለች፥BSBBSB: O daughters of Jerusalem, I adjure you by the gazelles and does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until the time is right.
8. 8ULBየውዴ ድምጽ ነው! ኦ፥ በተራራዎች ላይ እየዘለለ፥ በኮረብታዎች ላይ እየተስፈነጠረ ሲመጣ ይታወቀኛል።BSBBSB: Listen! My beloved approaches. Look! Here he comes, leaping across the mountains, bounding over the hills.
9. 9ULBውዴ የሜዳን ፍየል ወይም ግልገል አጋዘንን ይመስላል፤ እነሆ እርሱ ከቤታችን ግድግዳ በስተኋላ ቆሟል፥ በመስኮቱ በኩል አተኩሮ፥ በፍርግርጉም አጮልቆ ይመለከታል።BSBBSB: My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Look, he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice.
10. 10ULBውዴ እንዲህ ሲል ተናገረኝ፥ "ውዴ ሆይ ተነሽ፤ የኔዋ ቆንጆ ከእኔ ጋር ነይ።BSBBSB: My beloved calls to me, “Arise, my darling. Come away with me, my beautiful one.
11. 11ULBተመልከች፥ ክረምቱ አልፏል፥ ዝናቡም ቆሟል፥ ሄዷልም።BSBBSB: For now the winter is past; the rain is over and gone.
12. 12ULBአበቦች በምድር ላይ ታይተዋል፤ ወይን የሚገረዝበትና የወፎች ዝማሬ ጊዜ ደርሶአል፥ የእርግቦችም ድምጽ በምድራችን ተሰምቷል።BSBBSB: The flowers have appeared in the countryside; the season of singing has come, and the cooing of turtledoves is heard in our land.
13. 13ULBየበለስ ዛፍ አረንጓዴ ፍሬዎቿ በስለዋል፥ ወይኖቹም አብበዋል፥ መዓዛቸውንም ሰጥተዋል። ውዴ ሆይ ተነሽ፥ የኔዋ ቆንጆ ነይ።BSBBSB: The fig tree ripens its figs; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come away, my darling; come away with me, my beautiful one.”
14. 14ULBበዐለት ሥንጣቂ ውስጥ፥ በድብቁ የተራራማው ቋጢኝ ስንጣቂ ውስጥ ያለሽ እርግቤ ሆይ፥ ፊትሽን ልየው። ድምጽሽን ልስማው፥ ድምጽሽ ጣፋጭ ነውና ፊትሽም ውብ ነው።" ሴቲቱ ለራሷ ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: O my dove in the clefts of the rock, in the crevices of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your countenance is lovely.
15. 15ULBየወይናችን ቦታ አብቦአልና የወይን ቦታዎችን የሚያበላሹትን ትናንሽ ቀበሮዎች ያዙልን።BSBBSB: Catch for us the foxes—the little foxes that ruin the vineyards—for our vineyards are in bloom.
16. 16ULBውዴ የእኔ ነው፥ እኔም የእርሱ ነኝ፤ እርሱ መንጋውን በአበቦቹ መካከል በደስታ ያሰማራል።BSBBSB: My beloved is mine and I am his; he pastures his flock among the lilies.
17. 17ULBሴቲቱ ለፍቅረኛዋ ስትናገር፥ ውዴ ሆይ፥ ተመለስ፣ የንጋቱ ቀዝቃዛ ንፋስ ሳይነፍስ፥ ጥላውም ሳይሸሽ። ተመለስ፤ በጎርበጥባጣዎቹ ኮረብቶች ላይ የሜዳ ፍየልን ወይም ግልገል አጋዘንን ምሰል።BSBBSB: Before the day breaks and shadows flee, turn, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or a young stag on the mountains of Bether.
