1. 1ULBምነው የእናቴን ጡቶች እንደጠባ እንደ ወንድሜ በሆንክ። ከዚያም በውጭ ባገኘሁህ ጊዜ ሁሉ በሳምኩህና፥ ማንም ባልናቀኝ ነበር።BSBBSB: O that you were to me like a brother who nursed at my mother’s breasts! If I found you outdoors, I would kiss you, and no one would despise me.
2. 2ULBበመራሁህና ወደ እናቴ ቤት ባመጣሁህ፥ አንተም ባስተማርከኝ ነበር። የምትጠጣውን ጣፋጭ ወይን ጠጅ በሰጠሁህ፥ ከሮማኖቼም ጭማቂ ጥቂቱን።BSBBSB: I would lead you and bring you to the house of my mother who taught me. I would give you spiced wine to drink, the nectar of my pomegranates.
3. 3ULBወጣቷ ለራሷ ስትናገር፥ ግራ እጁ ይዞኛል፤ ቀኝ እጁም አቅፎኛል። ሴቲቱ ለሌሎች ሴቶች ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: His left hand is under my head, and his right arm embraces me.
4. 4ULBየኢየሩሳሌም ሴቶች ልጆች ሆይ፥ በፍቅር ግንኙነታችን ጊዜ እስክንረካ ድረስ ላታቋርጡን እንድትምሉልኝ እፈልጋለሁ። የኢየሩሳሌም ሴቶች ሲናገሩ፥BSBBSB: O daughters of Jerusalem, I adjure you: Do not arouse or awaken love until the time is right.
5. 5ULBበውዷ ላይ ተደግፋ ከምድረ በዳ የምትመጣ ይህቺ ማን ናት? ሴቲቱ ለፍቅረኛዋ ስትናገር፥ ከእንኮዩ ዛፍ ጥላ ሥር አነቃሁህ፤ በዚያ እናትህ ፀነሰችህ፤ በዚያም አንተን ወለደችህ፤ ተገላገለችህ።BSBBSB: Who is this coming up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? I roused you under the apple tree; there your mother conceived you; there she travailed and brought you forth.
6. 6ULBበልብህ ላይ እንደ ማኅተም አስቀምጠኝ፥ እንደ ማኅተም በክንድህ ላይ፥ ፍቅር እንደ ሞት ብርቱ ነውና። የታማኝነቷም ጠንካራ ስሜት እንደ ሲዖል ጨካኝ ነው፤ ነበልባሏ ይነዳል፤ የምትንቦገቦግ ነበልባል ናት፥ ነበልባሏ ከሌላ ከየትኛውም እሳት ይልቅ የጋለ ነው።BSBBSB: Set me as a seal over your heart, as a seal upon your arm. For love is as strong as death, its jealousy as unrelenting as Sheol. Its sparks are fiery flames, the fiercest blaze of all.
7. 7ULBየማዕበል ውሃ ፍቅርን ለማጥፋት አይችልም፥ ጎርፍም ሊያሰጥመው አይችልም። ሰው በቤቱ ያለውን ሀብት ሁሉ ስለ ፍቅር ብሎ ቢሰጥ ስጦታው ፈጽሞ ይናቃል። የወጣቷ ወንድሞች እርስ በርሳቸው ሲነጋገሩ፥BSBBSB: Mighty waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away. If a man were to give all the wealth of his house for love, his offer would be utterly scorned.
8. 8ULBታናሽ እህት አለችን፥ ጡቶቿም ገና አላደጉም። ለጋብቻ በምትሰጥበት በዚያን ቀን ለእህታችን ምን ልናደርግላት እንችላለን?BSBBSB: We have a little sister, and her breasts are not yet grown. What shall we do for our sister on the day she is spoken for?
9. 9ULBእርሷ ቅጥር ብትሆን፥ በላይዋ ላይ የጥበቃ ማማ እንሠራባታለን። በር ብትሆን በዝግባ ሳንቃ እናስውባታለን። ወጣቷ ለራሷ ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: If she is a wall, we will build a tower of silver upon her. If she is a door, we will enclose her with panels of cedar.
10. 10ULBእኔ ቅጥር ነኝ፥ አሁን ግን ጡቶቼ እንደ ተመሸጉ ግንቦች ናቸው፤ ስለዚህ በዓይኖቹ ፊት በሚገባ አድጌአለሁ። ወጣቷ ለራሷ ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: I am a wall, and my breasts are like towers. So I have become in his eyes like one who brings peace.
11. 11ULBሰለሞን በብኤላሞን የወይን ቦታ ነበረው፤ እርሱም የወይኑን ቦታ ለሚንከባከቡት አከራየው። እያንዳንዱ ስለ ፍሬው አንድ አንድ ሺህ ሰቅል ብር ያመጣለት ነበር።BSBBSB: Solomon had a vineyard in Baal-hamon. He leased it to the tenants. For its fruit, each was to bring a thousand shekels of silver.
12. 12ULBየእኔ የወይን ቦታ የእኔው የግሌ ነው፤ ወዳጄ ሰለሞን ሆይ፥ አንድ ሺህ ሰቅሉ ያንተ ይሆናል፥ ሁለት መቶ ሰቅሉ ፍሬውን ለሚንከባከቡት ነው። የሴቲቱ አፍቃሪ ሲናገራት፥BSBBSB: But my own vineyard is mine to give; the thousand shekels are for you, O Solomon, and two hundred are for those who tend its fruit.
13. 13ULBበአትክልቱ ቦታ የምትኖሪ ሆይ፥ ጓደኞቼ ድምጽሽን እየሰሙት ነው፤ እኔም ከሚሰሙት አንዱ ልሁን። ሴቲቱ ለፍቅረኛዋ ስትናገር፥BSBBSB: You who dwell in the gardens, my companions are listening for your voice. Let me hear it!
14. 14ULBውዴ ሆይ፥ ፍጠን፤ በቅመማ ቅመም ተራራዎች ላይ የአጋዘንን ወይም የሜዳ ፍየል ግልገልን ምሰል።BSBBSB: Come away, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or a young stag on the mountains of spices.
