1 ULB የእግዚአብሔር ባሪያና፣የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ሐዋርያ የሆነው ጳውሎስ፣ በእግዚአብሔር የተመረጡት ሰዎች እምነት እንዲጸና፣ እግዚአብሔርን ከመምሰል ጋር የሚስማማውን የእውነት እውቀት ለማፅናት፣ BSB BSB: Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness,
2 ULB የማይዋሽ እግዚአብሔር፣ በተረጋገጠ ዘላለማዊ ሕይወት ከዘመናት በፊት ተስፋን ሰጠ፣ BSB BSB: in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.
3 ULB እንደ መድሃኒታችን እግዚአብሔር ትዕዛዝ፣ በትክክለኛው ጊዜ፣ ቃሉን ለእኔ አደራ በሰጠኝ መልዕክት ገለጠ፡፡ BSB BSB: In His own time He has made His word evident in the proclamation entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior.
4 ULB የጋራችን በሆነ እምነት እውነተኛ ልጄ ለሆነ ለቲቶ። ከእግዚአብሔር አብ፣ከመድሃኒታችን ክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ፀጋ፣ምህረትና ሰላም ለአንተ ይሁን። BSB BSB: To Titus, my true child in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
5 ULB አንተን በቀርጤስ የተውኩበት ምክንያት፣ ያልተጠናቀቁትን ነገሮች እንድታስተካክልና፣ በነገርኩህ መሠረት በየከተማው ሁሉ ሽማግሌዎችን እንድትሾም ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: The reason I left you in Crete was that you would set in order what was unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
6 ULB የቤተክርስቲያን ሽማግሌ፣ ነቀፋ የሌለበት፣የአንዲት ሚስት ባል፣ ከክፍዎችና ካልታረሙ ጋር ስማቸው የማይነሳ ታማኝ ልጆች ያሉት ሊሆኑ ይገባዋል። BSB BSB: An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, having children who are believers and who are not open to accusation of indiscretion or insubordination.
7 ULB የቤተክርስቲያን ሽማግሌ የእግዚአብሔርን ቤት የሚያስተዳድር መሪ ስለሆነ ነቀፋ የሌለበት፣ የማይጮህ፣ራሱን የሚገዛ ፣የማይቆጣ ፣ለወይን ጠጅ የማይገዛ፣ የማይጣላና ስስታም ያልሆነ ሊሆን ይገባል። BSB BSB: As God’s steward, an overseer must be above reproach—not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not greedy for money.
8 ULB ነገር ግን እንግዳ ተቀባይ፣ መልካምን የሚወድ፣ ጠንቃቃ፣ ጻድቅ፣ መንፈሳዊና ራሱን የሚገዛ መሆን አለበት። BSB BSB: Instead, he must be hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined.
9 ULB በጤናማ ትምህርት ሌሎችን ለማበረታታት፣ የሚቃወሙትን ለመገሠጽ እንዲችል እውነተኛውን ትምህር አጥብቆ መያዝ ይኖርበታል። BSB BSB: He must hold firmly to the faithful word as it was taught, so that he can encourage others by sound teaching and refute those who contradict it.
10 ULB ሥርዓት የሌላቸው በተለይም ከተገረዙት ወገን የሆኑ ብዙዎች አሉ። ቃላቸው ከንቱ ነው። ሰዎችን ያስታሉ፣ በተሳሳተ መንገድም ይመራሉ። BSB BSB: For many are rebellious and full of empty talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision,
11 ULB እነዚህን ዝም ማሰኘት ይገባል። ለነውረኛ ትርፍ ብለው ማስተማር የማይገባቸውን እያስተማሩ፣ መላ ቤተሰብን ያፈርሳሉ። BSB BSB: who must be silenced. For the sake of dishonorable gain, they undermine entire households and teach things they should not.
13 ULB ይህም አባባል ትክክል ነው፣ ስለዚህ ጤነኛ እምነት እንዲኖራቸው አጥብቀህ ገሥጻቸው። BSB BSB: This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sternly, so that they will be sound in the faith
14 ULB ጊዜያቸውን በአይሁድ ተረትና፣ ከእውነት በራቁ ሰዎች ትዕዛዛት ላይ አያባክኑ። BSB BSB: and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of men who have rejected the truth.
15 ULB ንጹሆች ለሆኑት፣ ሁሉም ንጹህ ነው፣ ለርኩሶችና ለማያምኑ ግን ንጹህ የሆነ ምንም የለም። ይልቁን፣ አዕምሯቸውና ሃሳባቸው እንኳ የረከሰ ነው፡፡ BSB BSB: To the pure, all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Indeed, both their minds and their consciences are defiled.
16 ULB እግዚአብሔር እንደሚውያቁ ይናገራሉ፣ በሥራቸው ግን ይክዱታል። የሚያስጸይፉ የማይታዘዙና፣ ለመልካም ስራም የማይበቁ ናቸው፡፡ BSB BSB: They profess to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.
