1. 1ARSTHere{ is} the{ family} record of Adam and his descendants: On the day when God created human beings, he made them to be like himself.BSBBSB: This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in His own likeness.
2. 2ARSTHe{ also} created them{ to be} male and female, and on the{ same} day that he created them, he blessed them and named them“human beings.”BSBBSB: Male and female He created them, and He blessed them. And in the day they were created, He called them “man.”
3. 3ARSTWhen Adam was 130 years old, he had{ a son} who was like him in many ways, and he named him Seth.BSBBSB: When Adam was 130 years old, he had a son in his own likeness, after his own image; and he named him Seth.
4. 4ARSTAfter Seth’ s birth, Adam lived{ another} 800 years. He{ also} had{ other} sons as well as daughters.BSBBSB: And after he had become the father of Seth, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.
5. 5ARSTSo Adam lived a total of 930 years, and{ then} he died.BSBBSB: So Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.

24. 24ARSTThen while he was{ still} living{ in a close relationship} with God,{ suddenly} he was no longer{ on earth}, because God had taken him away{ to be with him}.BSBBSB: Enoch walked with God, and then he was no more, because God had taken him away.
25. 25ARSTWhen Methuselah was 187 years old, he had{ a son named} Lamech.BSBBSB: When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech.
26. 26ARSTAfter Lamech’ s birth, Methuselah lived{ another} 782 years. He{ also} had{ other} sons as well as daughters.BSBBSB: And after he had become the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters.
27. 27ARSTSo Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and{ then} he died.BSBBSB: So Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28. 28ARSTWhen Lamech was 182 years old, he had a son,BSBBSB: When Lamech was 182 years old, he had a son.
29. 29ARSTand he named him Noah{ which means“rest,”}{ because} he said,“This{ son} will give us rest from the difficult work that we have to do because Yahweh has cursed the ground.”BSBBSB: And he named him Noah, saying, “May this one comfort us in the labor and toil of our hands caused by the ground that the LORD has cursed.”
30. 30ARSTAfter Noah’ s birth, Lamech lived{ another} 595 years. He{ also} had{ other} sons as well as daughters.BSBBSB: And after he had become the father of Noah, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters.
31. 31ARSTSo Lamech lived a total of 777 years,{ and} then he died.BSBBSB: So Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32. 32ARSTAfter Noah was 500 years old, he had{ sons whose names were} Shem, Ham, and Japheth.BSBBSB: After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
