1 ARST وجاء إليَّ أحد الملائكة السبعة الذين يحملون الكؤوس، وقال لي: «تعال معي، سأريك كيف سيُعاقب الله الزانية الشرِّيرة التي رأيتها تجلس بجانب نهر عظيم. BSB BSB: Then one of the seven angels with the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters.
2 ARST سجد ملوك الأرض للأوثان التي أرادت منهم أن يسجدوا لها. سجد الناس الذين يحكمون عليهم أيضًا لهذه الأوثان، كما وكأنَّهم ثملوا من خمر أعطتهم إيَّاه». BSB BSB: The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and those who dwell on the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her immorality.”
3 ARST بعد ذلك، أوحى إليَّ الروح القدس لكي أرى وأسمع أشياء في رؤيا. حملني الملاك إلى برِّيَّةٍ، وهناك رأيت امرأةً تركب على وحشٍ أحمر، وكان يوجد على جسم الوحش كلِّه أسماء، وهذه كانت أسماء أساءت إلى الله. كان لدى الوحش سبعة رؤوس وعشرة قرون. BSB BSB: And the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, where I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.
4 ARST كانت المرأة تلبس ملابس أرجوانيَّة وحمراء، وتضع حليَّ ذهبٍ وحجارةً كريمةً ولؤلؤًا. كانت تحمل كأسًا ذهبيًّا في يدها. كان ذلك الكأس مملوءًا بشيء تشربه يمثِّل الأشياء الفظيعة التي تفعلها عندما تزني، BSB BSB: The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls. She held in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality.
5 ARST وكان هناك اسم مكتوب على جبينها، وذلك الاسم يحمل معنىً سرِّيًّا. كان ذلك الاسم: بابل العظيمة، أُمُّ الزانيات والأعمال غير الأخلاقيَّة في الأرض. BSB BSB: And on her forehead a mysterious name was written: BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 ARST رأيت أنَّ المرأة ثَمِلت لأنَّها قد شربت دمَ شعب الله. تألَّم هؤلاء لأنَّهم أعلنوا الحقيقة عن يسوع. عندما رأيتها اندهشتُ كثيرًا. BSB BSB: I could see that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and witnesses for Jesus. And I was utterly amazed at the sight of her.
7 ARST قال لي الملاك: «يجب ألَّا يدهشك هذا، فأنا سأفسِّر لك سرَّ المرأة والوحش الذي تركبه، الذي له سبعة رؤوس وعشرة قرونٍ. BSB BSB: “Why are you so amazed?” said the angel. “I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.
8 ARST الوحش الذي رأيته عاش في وقت سابق، ولكنَّه الآن لم يعد حيًّا، ولكنَّه يوشك على أن يخرج من الحفرة المظلمة والعميقة، وسيهلكه الله في النهاية. سيظهر هذا الوحش مرَّة أخرى بعد أن عاش قديمًا ومات. ستُدهِش رؤيته سُكَّان الأرض الذين لم يكتب الله أسماءهم في سفر الحياة قبل أن يؤسِّس العالم. BSB BSB: The beast that you saw—it was, and now is no more, but is about to come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. And those who dwell on the earth whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world will marvel when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet will be.
9 ARST يجب أن يفكِّر الناس بطريقة حكيمة لكي يفهموا هذا: تمثِّل السبعة رؤوس للوحش الذي تركبه المرأة سبعة تلال للمدينة التي تمثِّلها المرأة، كما أنَّ الرؤوس تمثِّل أيضًا سبعة ملوكٍ. BSB BSB: This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.
10 ARST خمسة من أولئك الملوك قد ماتوا، وواحد ما زال حيًّا، ولم يأتِ بعد الملك السابع، ولكن عندما يأتي سيحكم لفترة قصيرة من الوقت. BSB BSB: There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. But when he does come, he must remain for only a little while.
11 ARST الوحش الذي كان حيًّا من قبل ومن ثمَّ لم يعد حيًّا، سيكون ملكًا ثامنًا، وهو في الحقيقة واحدًا من أولئك الملوك السبع. وسيهلكه الله بكلِّ تأكيد. BSB BSB: The beast that was, and now is not, is an eighth king, who belongs to the other seven and is going into destruction.
12 ARST الآن، العشرة قرون التي رأيتها تمثِّل عشرة ملوك لم يبدأ حكمهم بعد، بل سيحكمون سويَّةً الناسَ مع الوحش، ولكن لوقت قصير فقط. BSB BSB: The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive one hour of authority as kings along with the beast.
13 ARST سيتَّفق أولئك الملوك على أن يفعلوا الشيء نفسه. نتيجةً لهذا، سيعطوا الوحش سلطانهم ليحكم. BSB BSB: These kings have one purpose: to yield their power and authority to the beast.

BSB BSB: They will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and He will be accompanied by His called and chosen and faithful ones.”
15 ARST بعدئذٍ، قال لي الملاك: «تمثِّل المياه التي رأيتها في المدينة حيث تجلس الزانية عددًا كبيرًا من الناس من خلفيَّات كثيرة مختلفةٍ. BSB BSB: Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute was seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues.
16 ARST وتمثِّل القرون العشرة التي رأيتها ملوكًا. سيُبغضون هُم والوحش الزانية، لهذا سينهبون المدينة ولن يُبقوا فيها شيئًا، وبعد ذلك، سيدمِّرون المدينة تمامًا كما يلتهم حيوان مفترس حيوانًا آخر. وسيحرقون المدينة كاملةً. BSB BSB: And the ten horns and the beast that you saw will hate the prostitute. They will leave her desolate and naked, and they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
17 ARST سيفعلون ذلك لأنَّ الله جعلهم يقرِّرون أن يفعلوا ما يريده هو أن يفعلوه. نتيجةً لذلك، سيتَّفقون معًا أن يُعطوا الوحش سلطانهم ليحكم إلى حين أن يُتمِّم الله ما قاله. BSB BSB: For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His purpose by uniting to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.
18 ARST تمثِّل الزانية التي رأيتها المدينة الشرِّيرة جدًّا ذاتها التي يحكم ملوكها الملوك الآخرين في العالم. BSB BSB: And the woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
