1 GLT وَأَفْرَزَ دَاوُدُ وَرُؤَسَاءُ ٱلْجَيْشِ لِلْخِدْمَةِ بَنِي آسَافَ وَهَيْمَانَ وَيَدُوثُونَ ٱلْمُتَنَبِّئِينَ بِٱلْعِيدَانِ وَٱلرَّبَابِ وَٱلصُّنُوجِ. وَكَانَ عَدَدُهُمْ مِنْ رِجَالِ ٱلْعَمَلِ حَسَبَ خِدْمَتِهِمْ. BSB BSB: Additionally, David and the commanders of the army set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun to prophesy with the accompaniment of lyres, harps, and cymbals. The following is the list of the men who performed this service:
2 GLT مِنْ بَنِي آسَافَ: زَكُّورُ وَيُوسُفُ وَنَثَنْيَا وَأَشَرْئِيلَةُ. بَنُو آسَافَ تَحْتَ يَدِ آسَافَ ٱلْمُتَنَبِّئِ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ ٱلْمَلِكِ. BSB BSB: From the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asarelah. These sons of Asaph were under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king.
3 GLT مِنْ يَدُوثُونَ، بَنُو يَدُوثُونَ: جَدَلْيَا وَصَرِي وَيِشْعِيَا وَحَشَبْيَا وَمَتَّثْيَا، سِتَّةٌ. تَحْتَ يَدِ أَبِيهِمْ يَدُوثُونَ ٱلْمُتَنَبِّئِ بِٱلْعُودِ لِأَجْلِ ٱلْحَمْدِ وَٱلتَّسْبِيحِ لِلرَّبِّ. BSB BSB: From the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah—six in all—under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the harp, giving thanks and praise to the LORD.
4 GLT مِنْ هَيْمَانَ: بُقِّيَّا وَمَتَّنْيَا وَعُزِّيئِيلُ وَشَبُوئِيلُ وَيَرِيمُوثُ وَحَنَنْيَا وَحَنَانِي وَإِيلِيآثَةُ وَجِدَّلْتِي وَرُومَمْتِي عَزَرُ وَيُشْبَقَاشَةُ وَمَلُوثِي وَهُوثِيرُ وَمَحْزِيُوثُ. BSB BSB: From the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
5 GLT جَمِيعُ هَؤُلَاءِ بَنُو هَيْمَانَ رَائِي ٱلْمَلِكِ بِكَلَامِ ٱللهِ لِرَفْعِ ٱلْقَرْنِ. وَرَزَقَ ٱلرَّبُّ هَيْمَانَ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ ٱبْنًا وَثَلَاثَ بَنَاتٍ. BSB BSB: All these sons of Heman the king’s seer were given him through the promises of God to exalt him, for God had given Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 GLT كُلُّ هَؤُلَاءِ تَحْتَ يَدِ أَبِيهِمْ لِأَجْلِ غِنَاءِ بَيْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ بِٱلصُّنُوجِ وَٱلرَّبَابِ وَٱلْعِيدَانِ لِخِدْمَةِ بَيْتِ ٱللهِ، تَحْتَ يَدِ ٱلْمَلِكِ وَآسَافَ وَيَدُوثُونَ وَهَيْمَانَ. BSB BSB: All these were under the direction of their fathers for the music of the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the direction of the king.
7 GLT وَكَانَ عَدَدُهُمْ مَعَ إِخْوَتِهِمِ ٱلْمُتَعَلِّمِينَ ٱلْغِنَاءَ لِلرَّبِّ، كُلِّ ٱلْخَبِيرِينَ مِئَتَيْنِ وَثَمَانِيَةً وَثَمَانِينَ. BSB BSB: Together with their relatives, who were all trained and skillful in the songs of the LORD, they numbered 288.
8 GLT وَأَلْقَوْا قُرَعَ ٱلْحِرَاسَةِ ٱلصَّغِيرُ كَمَا ٱلْكَبِيرِ، ٱلْمُعَلِّمُ مَعَ ٱلتِّلْمِيذِ. BSB BSB: They cast lots for their duties, young and old alike, teacher as well as pupil.
9 GLT فَخَرَجَتِ ٱلْقُرْعَةُ ٱلْأُولَى ٱلَّتِي هِيَ لِآسَافَ لِيُوسُفَ. ٱلثَّانِيَةُ لِجَدَلْيَا، هُوَ وَإِخْوَتُهُ وَبَنُوهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: The first lot, which was for Asaph, fell to Joseph, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all; the second to Gedaliah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
10 GLT ٱلثَّالِثَةُ لِزَكُّورَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the third to Zaccur, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
11 GLT ٱلرَّابِعَةُ لِيَصْرِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the fourth to Izri, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
12 GLT ٱلْخَامِسَةُ لِنَثَنْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
13 GLT ٱلسَّادِسَةُ لِبُقِّيَّا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
14 GLT ٱلسَّابِعَةُ لِيَشَرْئِيلَةَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the seventh to Jesarelah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
15 GLT ٱلثَّامِنَةُ لِيَشْعِيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
16 GLT ٱلتَّاسِعَةُ لِمَتَّنْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
17 GLT ٱلْعَاشِرَةُ لِشِمْعِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the tenth to Shimei, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
18 GLT ٱلْحَادِيَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِعَزَرْئِيلَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the eleventh to Azarel, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
19 GLT وَٱلثَّانِيَةَ عَشَرَةَ لِحَشَبْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
20 GLT ٱلثَّالِثَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِشُوبَائِيلَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the thirteenth to Shubael, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
21 GLT ٱلرَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِمَتَّثْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the fourteenth to Mattithiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
22 GLT ٱلْخَامِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِيَرِيمُوثَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
23 GLT ٱلسَّادِسَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِحَنَنْيَا، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
24 GLT ٱلسَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِيَشْبَقَاشَةَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
25 GLT ٱلثَّامِنَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِحَنَانِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
26 GLT ٱلتَّاسِعَةَ عَشْرَةَ لِمَلُّوثِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
27 GLT ٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِإِيلِيآثَةَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
28 GLT ٱلْحَادِيَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِهُوثِيرَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
29 GLT ٱلثَّانِيةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِجِدَّلْتِي، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ، BSB BSB: the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
30 GLT ٱلثَّالِثَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِمَحْزِيُوثَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all;
31 GLT ٱلرَّابِعَةُ وَٱلْعِشْرُونَ لِرُومَمْتِي عَزَرَ، بَنُوهُ وَإِخْوَتُهُ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ. BSB BSB: and the twenty-fourth to Romamti-ezer, his sons, and his brothers—12 in all.
