1 GLT هَلِّلُويَا. اِحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ لِأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، لِأَنَّ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ رَحْمَتَهُ. BSB BSB: Hallelujah! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
2 GLT مَنْ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِجَبَرُوتِ ٱلرَّبِّ؟ مَنْ يُخْبِرُ بِكُلِّ تَسَابِيحِهِ؟ BSB BSB: Who can describe the mighty acts of the LORD or fully proclaim His praise?
3 GLT طُوبَى لِلْحَافِظِينَ ٱلْحَقَّ وَلِلصَّانِعِ ٱلْبِرَّ فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ. BSB BSB: Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.
4 GLT ٱذْكُرْنِي يَا رَبُّ بِرِضَا شَعْبِكَ. تَعَهَّدْنِي بِخَلَاصِكَ، BSB BSB: Remember me, O LORD, in Your favor to Your people; visit me with Your salvation,
5 GLT لِأَرَى خَيْرَ مُخْتَارِيكَ. لِأَفْرَحَ بِفَرَحِ أُمَّتِكَ. لِأَفْتَخِرَ مَعَ مِيرَاثِكَ. BSB BSB: that I may see the prosperity of Your chosen ones, and rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, and give glory with Your inheritance.
6 GLT أَخْطَأْنَا مَعَ آبَائِنَا. أَسَأْنَا وَأَذْنَبْنَا. BSB BSB: We have sinned like our fathers; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.
7 GLT آبَاؤُنَا فِي مِصْرَ لَمْ يَفْهَمُوا عَجَائِبَكَ. لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا كَثْرَةَ مَرَاحِمِكَ، فَتَمَرَّدُوا عِنْدَ ٱلْبَحْرِ، عِنْدَ بَحْرِ سُوفٍ. BSB BSB: Our fathers in Egypt did not grasp Your wonders or remember Your abundant kindness; but they rebelled by the sea, there at the Red Sea.
8 GLT فَخَلَّصَهُمْ مِنْ أَجْلِ ٱسْمِهِ، لِيُعَرِّفَ بِجَبَرُوتِهِ. BSB BSB: Yet He saved them for the sake of His name, to make His power known.
9 GLT وَٱنْتَهَرَ بَحْرَ سُوفٍ فَيَبِسَ، وَسَيَّرَهُمْ فِي ٱللُّجَجِ كَٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ. BSB BSB: He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; He led them through the depths as through a desert.
10 GLT وَخَلَّصَهُمْ مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْمُبْغِضِ، وَفَدَاهُمْ مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْعَدُوِّ. BSB BSB: He saved them from the hand that hated them; He redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 GLT وَغَطَّتِ ٱلْمِيَاهُ مُضَايِقِيهِمْ. وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمْ لَمْ يَبْقَ. BSB BSB: The waters covered their foes; not one of them remained.
12 GLT فَآمَنُوا بِكَلَامِهِ. غَنَّوْا بِتَسْبِيحِهِ. BSB BSB: Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.
13 GLT أَسْرَعُوا فَنَسُوا أَعْمَالَهُ. لَمْ يَنْتَظِرُوا مَشُورَتَهُ. BSB BSB: Yet they soon forgot His works and failed to wait for His counsel.
14 GLT بَلِ ٱشْتَهَوْا شَهْوَةً فِي ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ، وَجَرَّبُوا ٱللهَ فِي ٱلْقَفْرِ. BSB BSB: They craved intensely in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.
15 GLT فَأَعْطَاهُمْ سُؤْلَهُمْ، وَأَرْسَلَ هُزَالًا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ. BSB BSB: So He granted their request, but sent a wasting disease upon them.
16 GLT وَحَسَدُوا مُوسَى فِي ٱلْمَحَلَّةِ، وَهارُونَ قُدُّوسَ ٱلرَّبِّ. BSB BSB: In the camp they envied Moses, as well as Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
17 GLT فَتَحَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱبْتَلَعَتْ دَاثَانَ، وَطَبَقَتْ عَلَى جَمَاعَةِ أَبِيرَامَ، BSB BSB: The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it covered the assembly of Abiram.
18 GLT وَٱشْتَعَلَتْ نَارٌ فِي جَمَاعَتِهِمْ. ٱللَّهِيبُ أَحْرَقَ ٱلْأَشْرَارَ. BSB BSB: Then fire blazed through their company; flames consumed the wicked.
19 GLT صَنَعُوا عِجْلًا فِي حُورِيبَ، وَسَجَدُوا لِتِمْثَالٍ مَسْبُوكٍ، BSB BSB: At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped a molten image.
20 GLT وَأَبْدَلُوا مَجْدَهُمْ بِمِثَالِ ثَوْرٍ آكِلِ عُشْبٍ. BSB BSB: They exchanged their Glory for the image of a grass-eating ox.
21 GLT نَسُوا ٱللهَ مُخَلِّصَهُمُ، ٱلصَّانِعَ عَظَائِمَ فِي مِصْرَ، BSB BSB: They forgot God their Savior, who did great things in Egypt,
22 GLT وَعَجَائِبَ فِي أَرْضِ حَامٍ، وَمَخَاوِفَ عَلَى بَحْرِ سُوفٍ، BSB BSB: wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
23 GLT فَقَالَ بِإِهْلَاكِهِمْ. لَوْلَا مُوسَى مُخْتَارُهُ وَقَفَ فِي ٱلثَّغْرِ قُدَّامَهُ لِيَصْرِفَ غَضَبَهُ عَنْ إِتْلَافِهِمْ. BSB BSB: So He said He would destroy them—had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach to divert His wrath from destroying them.
24 GLT وَرَذَلُوا ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلشَّهِيَّةَ. لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِكَلِمَتِهِ. BSB BSB: They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His promise.
25 GLT بَلْ تَمَرْمَرُوا فِي خِيَامِهِمْ. لَمْ يَسْمَعُوا لِصَوْتِ ٱلرَّبِّ، BSB BSB: They grumbled in their tents and did not listen to the voice of the LORD.
26 GLT فَرَفَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيُسْقِطَهُمْ فِي ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ، BSB BSB: So He raised His hand and swore to cast them down in the wilderness,
27 GLT وَلِيُسْقِطَ نَسْلَهُمْ بَيْنَ ٱلْأُمَمِ، وَلِيُبَدِّدَهُمْ فِي ٱلْأَرَاضِي. BSB BSB: to disperse their offspring among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands.
28 GLT وَتَعَلَّقُوا بِبَعْلِ فَغُورَ، وَأَكَلُوا ذَبَائِحَ ٱلْمَوْتَى. BSB BSB: They yoked themselves to Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods.
29 GLT وَأَغَاظُوهُ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ فَٱقْتَحَمَهُمُ ٱلْوَبَأُ. BSB BSB: So they provoked the LORD to anger with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
30 GLT فَوَقَفَ فِينَحَاسُ وَدَانَ، فَٱمْتَنَعَ ٱلْوَبَأُ. BSB BSB: But Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was restrained.
31 GLT فَحُسِبَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ بِرًّا إِلَى دَوْرٍ فَدَوْرٍ، إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. BSB BSB: It was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.
32 GLT وَأَسْخَطُوهُ عَلَى مَاءِ مَرِيبَةَ حَتَّى تَأَذَّى مُوسَى بِسَبَبِهِمْ. BSB BSB: At the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them.
33 GLT لِأَنَّهُمْ أَمَرُّوا رُوحَهُ حَتَّى فَرَطَ بِشَفَتَيْهِ. BSB BSB: For they rebelled against His Spirit, and Moses spoke rashly with his lips.
34 GLT لَمْ يَسْتَأْصِلُوا ٱلْأُمَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّبُّ عَنْهُمْ، BSB BSB: They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them,
35 GLT بَلِ ٱخْتَلَطُوا بِٱلْأُمَمِ وَتَعَلَّمُوا أَعْمَالَهُمْ. BSB BSB: but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
36 GLT وَعَبَدُوا أَصْنَامَهُمْ، فَصَارَتْ لَهُمْ شَرَكًا. BSB BSB: They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.
37 GLT وَذَبَحُوا بَنِيهِمْ وَبَنَاتِهِمْ لِلْأَوْثَانِ. BSB BSB: They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
38 GLT وَأَهْرَقُوا دَمًا زَكِيًّا، دَمَ بَنِيهِمْ وَبَنَاتِهِمِ ٱلَّذِينَ ذَبَحُوهُمْ لِأَصْنَامِ كَنْعَانَ، وَتَدَنَّسَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ بِٱلدِّمَاءِ. BSB BSB: They shed innocent blood—the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.
39 GLT وَتَنَجَّسُوا بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ وَزَنَوْا بِأَفْعَالِهِمْ. BSB BSB: They defiled themselves by their actions and prostituted themselves by their deeds.
40 GLT فَحَمِيَ غَضَبُ ٱلرَّبِّ عَلَى شَعْبِهِ، وَكَرِهَ مِيرَاثَهُ. BSB BSB: So the anger of the LORD burned against His people, and He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 GLT وَأَسْلَمَهُمْ لِيَدِ ٱلْأُمَمِ، وَتَسَلَّطَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُبْغِضُوهُمْ. BSB BSB: He delivered them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.
42 GLT وَضَغَطَهُمْ أَعْدَاؤُهُمْ، فَذَلُّوا تَحْتَ يَدِهِمْ. BSB BSB: Their enemies oppressed them and subdued them under their hand.
43 GLT مَرَّاتٍ كَثِيرَةً أَنْقَذَهُمْ، أَمَّا هُمْ فَعَصَوْهُ بِمَشُورَتِهِمْ وَٱنْحَطُّوا بِإِثْمِهِمْ. BSB BSB: Many times He rescued them, but they were bent on rebellion and sank down in their iniquity.
44 GLT فَنَظَرَ إِلَى ضِيقِهِمْ إِذْ سَمِعَ صُرَاخَهُمْ. BSB BSB: Nevertheless He heard their cry; He took note of their distress.
45 GLT وَذَكَرَ لَهُمْ عَهْدَهُ، وَنَدِمَ حَسَبَ كَثْرَةِ رَحْمَتِهِ. BSB BSB: And He remembered His covenant with them, and relented by the abundance of His loving devotion.
46 GLT وَأَعْطَاهُمْ نِعْمَةً قُدَّامَ كُلِّ ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَوْهُمْ. BSB BSB: He made them objects of compassion to all who held them captive.
47 GLT خَلِّصْنَا أَيُّهَا ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُنَا، وَٱجْمَعْنَا مِنْ بَيْنِ ٱلْأُمَمِ، لِنَحْمَدَ ٱسْمَ قُدْسِكَ، وَنَتَفَاخَرَ بِتَسْبِيحِكَ. BSB BSB: Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.
48 GLT مُبَارَكٌ ٱلرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ ٱلْأَزَلِ وَإِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ. وَيَقُولُ كُلُّ ٱلشَّعْبِ: «آمِينَ». هَلِّلُويَا. BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Hallelujah!
