1. 1ULBএইবাৰ মই দেৱতাৰ মূৰ্তিলৈ উৎসর্গ কৰা প্ৰসাদৰ বিষয়ে কৈছোঁ। আমি জানো যে “আমাৰ সকলোৰে জ্ঞান আছে”। জ্ঞানে অহংকাৰ জন্মায়, কিন্তু প্ৰেমে গঢ় দিয়ে।BSBBSB: Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
2. 2ULBযদি কোনোৱে কিবা বিষয়ত সকলো জানো বুলি ভাৱে, তেনেহলে যিৰূপে জনা উচিত, সেইভাৱে এতিয়াও নাজানে।BSBBSB: The one who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know.
3. 3ULBকিন্তু কোনোৱে যদি ঈশ্বৰক প্ৰেম কৰে, তেনেহলে ঈশ্বৰে সেই জনক জানে।BSBBSB: But the one who loves God is known by God.
4. 4ULBমূৰ্তিলৈ উৎসর্গ কৰা প্ৰসাদৰ খোৱাৰ বিষয়ে কওঁ; আমি জানো যে “জগত খনত মূৰ্তি বুলি প্ৰকৃততে একোৱে নাই” আৰু “এজন ঈশ্বৰৰ বাহিৰে আন ঈশ্বৰ নাই”।BSBBSB: So about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world, and that there is no God but one.

6. 6ULBকিন্তু আমাৰ কাৰণে একমাত্র এজন পিতৃ ঈশ্বৰ আছে। তেওঁৰ পৰাই সকলোবোৰ সৃষ্টি কৰা হৈছে আৰু আমি তেওঁৰ কাৰণেই জীয়াই আছোঁ। আমাৰ প্রভুও মাত্র এজন। তেওঁ যীচু খ্রীষ্ট। তেওঁৰ দ্বাৰাই সকলো সৃষ্ট হ’ল আৰু আমিও জীয়াই আছোঁ।BSBBSB: yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we exist. And there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we exist.
7. 7ULBকিন্তু সকলোৰে এনে জ্ঞান সঁচাকৈ নাই; কিয়নো কোনো লোকৰ পূৰ্বৰ মূৰ্তিপূজাৰ অভ্যাস এতিয়ালৈকে থকাত, সেই লোকসকলে মূৰ্তিলৈ উৎসর্গ কৰা খোৱা বস্তু এতিয়াও প্ৰসাদ বুলি খায়; তাতে এনে লোকৰ বিবেক দূৰ্বল হোৱা বাবে নিজকে অশুচি অনুভৱ কৰে।BSBBSB: But not everyone has this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that they eat such food as if it were sacrificed to an idol. And since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.
8. 8ULBখোৱা বস্তুৰ দ্বাৰা আমি ঈশ্বৰৰ আগত গ্রহণযোগ্য নহওঁ। আমি নাখালেও আমাৰ ক্ষতি নহয় বা খালেও আমাৰ লাভ নহয়।BSBBSB: But food does not bring us closer to God: We are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.
9. 9ULBকিন্তু সাৱধান! যি সকল বিশ্বাসত দুর্বল, আপোনালোকৰ এই স্বাধীনতা সেই লোক সকললৈ যেন উজুটি খুউৱা মূঢ়াস্বৰূপ নহয়।BSBBSB: Be careful, however, that your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak.
10. 10ULBআপোনাৰ জ্ঞান আছে; কিন্তু যি জনৰ বিবেক দুর্বল, সেই জনে যদি আপোনাক দেৱতাৰ মন্দিৰত বহি প্ৰসাদ খোৱা দেখা পায়, তেনেহলে সেই লোক জনে জানো মূৰ্তিলৈ উৎসর্গ কৰা খোৱা বস্তু খাবলৈ উৎসাহিত নহ’ব?BSBBSB: For if someone with a weak conscience sees you who are well informed eating in an idol’s temple, will he not be encouraged to eat food sacrificed to idols?
11. 11ULBএইদৰে আপোনাৰ জ্ঞানৰ দ্বাৰা সেই দুর্বল বিবেকৰ ভাই বা ভনী, যাৰ কাৰণে খ্ৰীষ্ট মৰিল, তেখেতসকল বিনষ্ট হয়।BSBBSB: So this weak brother, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge.
12. 12ULBআপোনালোকে আপোনালোকৰ ভাই-ভনী সকলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে এইদৰে পাপ কৰি তেখেতসকলৰ দূৰ্বল বিবেকত আঘাত কৰিলে, আপোনালোকে খ্ৰীষ্টৰ বিৰুদ্ধে পাপ কৰা হয়।BSBBSB: By sinning against your brothers in this way and wounding their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.
13. 13ULBএতেকে খোৱা বস্তুৱে যদি মোৰ ভাই-ভনীৰ বাবে বিঘিনি স্বৰূপ হয়, তেনেহলে ভাই-ভনীৰ পাপৰ কাৰণ নহ’বলৈ মই পুনৰ কেতিয়াও মঙহ নাখাওঁ।BSBBSB: Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to stumble.
