3 ULB অব্ৰাহামে চাৰাই প্রসৱ কৰা এই পুত্ৰৰ নাম “ইচহাক” ৰাখিলে। BSB BSB: And Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore to him.
4 ULB ঈশ্বৰৰ আজ্ঞা অনুসাৰে অব্ৰাহামে আঠ দিনৰ দিনা নিজ পুত্ৰ ইচহাকৰ চুন্নৎ কৰিলে। BSB BSB: When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God had commanded him.
5 ULB পুত্ৰ ইচহাকৰ জন্মৰ সময়ত অব্ৰাহামৰ বয়স হৈছিল এশ বছৰ। BSB BSB: Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.
6 ULB চাৰাই ক’লে, “পূর্বে নিঃসন্তান হোৱাৰ বাবে যদিও মই দুখী আছিলো, ঈশ্বৰে মোৰ মুখত আনন্দৰ হাঁহি দিলে; তেওঁ যি কৰিলে সেই কথা শুনা প্রতিজনেও মোৰে সৈতে হাঁহিব।” BSB BSB: Then Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and everyone who hears of this will laugh with me.”

8 ULB ইচহাক ক্রমে ডাঙৰ হ’বলৈ ধৰিলে আৰু তেওঁৰ পিয়াহো এৰুৱালে। পিয়াহ এৰোৱাৰ দিনা অব্ৰাহামে এক বৰভোজ পাতিলে। BSB BSB: So the child grew and was weaned, and Abraham held a great feast on the day Isaac was weaned.
9 ULB এদিন চাৰাই দেখিলে যে হাগাৰৰ পুত্র ইশ্মায়েলে ইচহাকক ইতিকিং কৰিছে। BSB BSB: But Sarah saw that the son whom Hagar the Egyptian had borne to Abraham was mocking her son,
10 ULB তাকে দেখি চাৰাই অব্ৰাহামক ক’লে, “তুমি এই মিচৰীয়া দাসী আৰু তাইৰ পুতেকক খেদি দিয়া! মই নিবিচাৰো যে আমাৰ ইচহাকৰ সৈতে সেই দাসীৰ পুত্র উত্তৰাধিকাৰৰ ভাগী হওঁক।” BSB BSB: and she said to Abraham, “Expel the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac!”
11 ULB পুত্র ইশ্মায়েলৰ বিষয়ে এই কথা শুনি অব্ৰাহামে মনত অতিশয় বেজাৰ পালে। BSB BSB: Now this matter distressed Abraham greatly because it concerned his son Ishmael.
13 ULB সেই দাসীৰ পুত্রৰ যোগেদিও মই এক জাতি উৎপন্ন কৰিম, কাৰণ তেৱোঁ তোমাৰেই বংশৰধৰ।” BSB BSB: But I will also make a nation of the slave woman’s son, because he is your offspring.”
14 ULB পিছদিনা অব্ৰাহামে নিচেই পুৱাতে উঠি কিছু পিঠা আৰু ছালেৰে তৈয়াৰী পানী ভৰা এটা মোনা লৈ হাগাৰৰ কান্ধত তুলি দিলে। তাৰ পাছত ইশ্মায়েলকো সোধাই দি তেওঁলোক দুয়োকো বিদায় দিলে; পাছত দুয়ো আতঁৰি গ’ল আৰু বেৰচেবাৰ মৰুপ্রান্তৰত ভ্ৰমি ফুৰিলে। BSB BSB: Early in the morning, Abraham got up, took bread and a skin of water, put them on Hagar’s shoulders, and sent her away with the boy. She left and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.

19 ULB তাৰপাছতে ঈশ্বৰে হাগাৰৰ চকু মুকলি কৰাত তেওঁ এটা কুঁৱা দেখা পালে; তেতিয়া হাগাৰে সেই কুঁৱাৰ কাষলৈ গৈ নিজৰ ছালৰ মোনাটোত পানী ভৰাই ল’ৰাক পান কৰালে। BSB BSB: Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

Show to me and to the country in which you reside the same kindness that I have shown to you.”
24 ULB অব্ৰাহামে ক’লে, “হয়, মই শপত খাইছোঁ।” BSB BSB: And Abraham replied, “I swear it.”
25 ULB কিন্তু তেওঁ এটা কুৱাঁৰ বিষয়ে অভিযোগ কৰি অবীমেলকক ক’লে যে অবীমেলকৰ দাসসকলে সেইটো বলেৰে তেওঁৰ পৰা অধিকাৰ কৰি লৈছে। BSB BSB: But when Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well that Abimelech’s servants had seized,
26 ULB তেতিয়া অবীমেলকে ক’লে, “এই কাম কোনে কৰিলে তাক মই নাজানো; এই কথা আগেয়ে আপুনি মোক জনোৱাও নাই। মই আজিলৈকে এই কথা শুনা নাছিলো, এতিয়াহে শুনিলো।” BSB BSB: Abimelech replied, “I do not know who has done this. You did not tell me, so I have not heard about it until today.”

30 ULB তেওঁ ক’লে, “আপুনি মোৰ হাতৰ পৰা এইবোৰ গ্রহণ কৰিলেহে মোৰ বাবে ই প্রমাণিত হ’ব যে এই কুৱাঁটো মই খান্দিছিলো।” BSB BSB: He replied, “You are to accept the seven ewe lambs from my hand as my witness that I dug this well.”
31 ULB সেই ঠাইতে তেওঁলোক দুয়োয়ে এক শপত লোৱাৰ বাবে তেওঁ সেই ঠাইৰ নাম বেৰ-চেবা (অর্থাৎ “শপতৰ কুৱাঁ) ৰাখিলে। BSB BSB: So that place was called Beersheba, because it was there that the two of them swore an oath.
32 ULB এইদৰে তেওঁলোকে বেৰ-চেবাত চুক্তি কৰাৰ পাছত অবীমেলক আৰু তেওঁৰ সেনাপতি ফীখোল ফিলিষ্টিনীসকলৰ দেশলৈ উভটি গ’ল। BSB BSB: After they had made the covenant at Beersheba, Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his army got up and returned to the land of the Philistines.
33 ULB অব্ৰাহামে বেৰ-চেবাত যিহোৱা অর্থাৎ সেই অনন্তকালৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ নামেৰে প্রার্থনা কৰিলে। তেওঁ সেই ঠাইত এজোপা ঝাওঁ গছ ৰুলে। BSB BSB: And Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called upon the name of the LORD, the Eternal God.
34 ULB অব্রাহাম ফিলিষ্টানীসকলৰ দেশত বহুদিন ধৰি বিদেশীৰূপে থাকিল। BSB BSB: And Abraham resided in the land of the Philistines for a long time.
