He split the wood for a burnt offering and set out for the place God had designated.

7 ULB তেতিয়া ইচহাকে তেওঁৰ পিতৃ অব্ৰাহামক মাতিলে, “হে মোৰ পিতৃ।” তাতে অব্রাহামে ক’লে, “মোৰ বোপা, মই ইয়াতে আছোঁ।” সি ক’লে, “হোমবলি উৎসর্গৰ কাৰণে চাওঁক জুই আৰু কাঠ আছে, কিন্তু ভেড়াপোৱালি ক’ত?” BSB BSB: Then Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!” “Here I am, my son,” he replied. “The fire and the wood are here,” said Isaac, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

He bound his son Isaac and placed him on the altar, atop the wood.
10 ULB তেতিয়া অব্ৰাহামে নিজ পুত্ৰক বধ কৰিবলৈ ছুৰীখন হাতত ল’লে। BSB BSB: Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son.
12 ULB দূতে ক’লে, “তুমি ল’ৰাটোৰ গাত হাত নিদিবা আৰু তাৰ একো হানি নকৰিবা; কিয়নো তুমি যে ঈশ্বৰৰ ভয়কাৰী লোক, সেই বিষয়ে মই এতিয়া জানিছোঁ; কাৰণ তুমি তোমাৰ একেটি পুত্ৰকো মোৰ বাবে বলি দিবলৈ অসন্মত নহ’লা।” BSB BSB: “Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him,” said the angel, “for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from me.”
13 ULB তেতিয়া অব্ৰাহামে চকু তুলি চাই নিজৰ পাছফালে এটা মতা ভেড়াক দেখা পালে আৰু তাৰ শিংকেইটা জোপোহাৰ মাজত জপটিয়াই লাগি আছিল। অব্ৰাহামে গৈ সেই ভেড়াটো আনি নিজৰ পুত্ৰৰ সলনি তাকে হোমবলি উৎসর্গ কৰিলে। BSB BSB: Then Abraham looked up and saw behind him a ram in a thicket, caught by its horns. So he went and took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.
14 ULB তাৰবাবে অব্ৰাহামে সেই ঠাইৰ নাম যিহোৱা-যিৰি (অর্থাৎ যিহোৱাই যোগাব) ৰাখিলে; সেয়ে আজিও লোকে এইবুলি কয়, “যিহোৱাৰ পাহাৰত যিহোৱায়ে যোগাই দিব।” BSB BSB: And Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. So to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”
15 ULB পাছত ঈশ্বৰৰ দূতে আকাশৰ পৰা পুণৰ মাত লগালে। BSB BSB: And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time,
16 ULB তেওঁ ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে, ‘তুমি তোমাৰ পুত্র, একেটি পুত্রকো মোৰ বাবে বলিদান দিবলৈ অসন্মত নহ’লা আৰু যিহেতু তুমি এই কার্য কৰিলা, সেয়ে মই নিজ নামেৰে শপত খাই কৈছো যে, BSB BSB: saying, “By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your only son,
17 ULB মই নিশ্চয় তোমাক আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰিম; আকাশৰ তৰাবোৰৰ দৰে আৰু সাগৰৰ তীৰত থকা বালিৰ দৰে তোমাৰ বংশ অতিশয় ৰূপে বৃদ্ধি কৰিম; তোমাৰ বংশৰ লোকসকলে তেওঁলোকৰ শত্রুবোৰৰ নগৰৰ দুৱাৰ জয় কৰিব। BSB BSB: I will surely bless you, and I will multiply your descendants like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will possess the gates of their enemies.
18 ULB তোমাৰ বংশৰ যোগেদিয়েই পৃথিৱীৰ সমুদায় জাতি আশীৰ্ব্বাদ প্ৰাপ্ত হ’ব; তুমি মোৰ কথা পালন কৰিলা বাবেই তেনে হ’ব।” BSB BSB: And through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
19 ULB পাছত অব্ৰাহাম নিজৰ দাসসকলৰ ওচৰলৈ উভটি আহিল আৰু সকলো একেলগে বেৰ-চেবালৈ ঘূৰি গ’ল; এই বেৰ-চেবাতে অব্ৰাহামে বাস কৰিছিল। BSB BSB: Abraham went back to his servants, and they got up and set out together for Beersheba. And Abraham settled in Beersheba.
20 ULB এইবোৰ ঘটনাৰ পাছত অব্ৰাহামে এই কথা শুনিবলৈ পালে, “তোমাৰ ককাই নাহোৰৰ ভার্য্যা মিল্কাৰো সতি-সন্ততিৰ জন্ম হ’ল।” BSB BSB: Some time later, Abraham was told, “Milcah has also borne sons to your brother Nahor:
21 ULB তেওঁলোক হ’ল তেওঁৰ বৰ পুতেক উচ; তাৰপাছত ভায়েক বুজ আৰু কমৱেলৰ জন্ম হ’ল। কমৱেলৰ পুত্রৰ নাম আছিল অৰাম। BSB BSB: Uz the firstborn, his brother Buz, Kemuel (the father of Aram),
22 ULB অন্যান্য সন্তানসকল কেচদ, হজো, পিলদচ, ফিদলফ, আৰু বথোৱেল। BSB BSB: Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.”
23 ULB এই বথোৱেলৰ ছোৱালীৰ নাম ৰিবেকা আছিল। মিল্কাই অব্ৰাহামৰ ককায়েক নাহোৰলৈ এই আঠজনক প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে। BSB BSB: And Bethuel became the father of Rebekah. Milcah bore these eight sons to Abraham’s brother Nahor.
24 ULB নাহোৰৰ এগৰাকী উপপত্নী আছিল। তাইৰ নাম আছিল ৰোমা। তাই টেবহ, গহম, তহচ, আৰু মাখা এইসকলক প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে। BSB BSB: Moreover, Nahor’s concubine, whose name was Reumah, bore Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah.
