1 PBDK Inonkah hanyu koi karasa, hai pulaksanai-pulaksanai ku (ulah aku bapaner ga here sa karasa Hukum Taurat), bahwa Hukum Taurat berkuasa amau tenga erang kaulun selama ulun hio welum? BSB BSB: Do you not know, brothers (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives?
2 PBDK Ulah hio lah, erang kaulun wawey sa paadu terikat secara hukum ga wane e selama aye welum; tatapi jaka wane e matei, aye mat na bebaskan neke hukum paadu e. BSB BSB: For instance, a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage.
3 PBDK Jari, jaka wawey hio jari harau laki-laki lain selagi wane e rahat welum, aye mat na antuh paraheng, tatapi amun wanen e mate, aye bebas neke hukum sehingga aye bakoi na antuh paraheng jaka paadu di laki-laki lain. BSB BSB: So then, if she is joined to another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.
4 PBDK Ulah hio, pulaksanai-pulaksanai ku, hanyu lei haot matei bagi Hukum Taurat mitah tenga Kristus supaya hanyu jari milik sa lain, aye hio Aye sa haot na tamuan neke pampatei sehinga takam kaiyuh menghasilkan wua bagi Allah Talla. BSB BSB: Therefore, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
5 PBDK Ulah, ketika takam masih welum huang kedagingan, hawa nafsu dosa sa dirangsang ulah Hukum Taurat bagawi huang anggota-anggota tenga takam mat menghasilkan wua bagi maut. BSB BSB: For when we lived according to the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, bearing fruit for death.
6 PBDK Akan tatapi, awuk iti takam haot na bebaskan neke Hukum Taurat, haot matei terhadap inon sa sadi membelenggu takam sehingga takam awuk ina melayani huang keadaan bio menurut Roh, bakoi menurut hukum lawah sa natulis. BSB BSB: But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
7 PBDK Jaka kala hio, inon sa naantuh takam? Inonkah Hukum Taurat hio dosa? Sekali-kali bakoi! Sebalik e, aku koi akan kataru dosa kecuali mitah Hukum Taurat, ulah aku koi akan kataru arti e neke bapangakan milik ulun lain jaka Hukum Taurat koi ngantuh."Ada mengingini." BSB BSB: What then shall we say? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed, I would not have been mindful of sin if not for the law. For I would not have been aware of coveting if the law had not said, “Do not covet.”
8 PBDK Akan tatapi, dosa ngalap kesempatan mitah perintah hio mat menghasilkan berbagai macam kangakan huang tengaku; ulah tanpa Hukum Taurat dosa akan matei. BSB BSB: But sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from the law, sin is dead.
9 PBDK Sadi aku welum tanpa Hukum Taurat, tatapi ketika hukum hio hawi, dosa jari welum dan aku matei; BSB BSB: Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.
10 PBDK Dan perintah ina, sa seharus e nuna ga welum, justru memimpin ku ga maut. BSB BSB: So I discovered that the very commandment that was meant to bring life actually brought death.
11 PBDK Ulah, dosa ngalap kesempatan mitah hukum hio mat menipu dan munu aku. BSB BSB: For sin, seizing its opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through the commandment put me to death.
13 PBDK Jaka sameh hio, inonkah sa maeh hio nampahawi pampatei ga aku? Sekali-kali bakoi! Dosalah sa menghasilkan maut ta huang ku mitah inon sa maeh mat nyata bahwa dosa adalah dosa, dan mitah hukum hio dosa makin tena kabadosa e. BSB BSB: Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! But in order that sin might be exposed as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.
14 PBDK Ulah takam karasa bahwa Hukum Taurat bersifat rohani, tatapi aku bersifat jasmani, nabatang takapit dosa. BSB BSB: We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.
15 PBDK Ulah, aku koi kataru inon sa na ulahku ulah aku bakoi ngulah hal sa nakangakan ku, melainkan aku ngulah hal sanakarikang. BSB BSB: I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.
16 PBDK Akan tatapi, jaka aku ngulah suatu hal sa bakoi kakan naulahku, aku menyetujui bahwa Hukum Taurat hio maeh. BSB BSB: And if I do what I do not want to do, I admit that the law is good.
17 PBDK Jari awuk iti, bakoi lagi aku sa ngulah e, tatapi dosa sa welum ta huangku. BSB BSB: In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
18 PBDK Ulah, aku karasa bahwa koi naan hal maeh sa welum ta huangku, aye hio ta huang lunek ku, ulah kahanak hio naan ta huang lunekku, tatapi mat ngulah ulahan sa maeh hio bakoi. BSB BSB: I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
19 PBDK Ulah, aku bakoi ngulah ulahan maeh sa nakangakan ku, tatapi aku ngulah hal sa jahat, sa bakoi nakangakan ku! BSB BSB: For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do.
20 PBDK Jari, jaka aku ngulah hal sa bakoi nakangakan ku, hio bakoi lagi aku sa ngulah e, tatapi dosa sa welum ta huang aku. BSB BSB: And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
21 PBDK Jari, aku kahaba hukum ina, aye hio: Ketika aku kakan ngulah hal sa maeh, kejahatan lei naan sasameh di aku. BSB BSB: So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
22 PBDK Ulah, aku suka akan hukum Allah Talla ta huang batinku, BSB BSB: For in my inner being I delight in God’s law.
23 PBDK tatapi aku kainni hukum lain huang anggota-anggota tengaku sa berjuang nawan hukum akal budiku dan menawanku ga huang hukum dosa sa naan huang anggota-anggota tengaku. BSB BSB: But I see another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells within me.
24 PBDK Aku marasia celaka! Hiyekah sa mat menyelamatkan aku neke tenga maut ina? BSB BSB: What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
25 PBDK Syukur ga Allah mitah Tuhan takam, Kristus Yesus! Jari, pahengau akal budiku, aku melayani hukum Allah, tatapi di tenga jasmaniku aku melayani hukum dosa. BSB BSB: Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
