1 ULB অতএব প্রিয় শিশুদের মত তোমরা ঈশ্বরের অনুকারী হও। BSB BSB: Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
2 ULB আর প্রেমে চল, যেমন খ্রীষ্টও তোমাদেরকে প্রেম করলেন এবং আমাদের জন্য ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে, সৌরভের জন্য, উপহার ও বলিরূপে নিজেকে বলিদান দিলেন। BSB BSB: and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.
3 ULB কিন্তু বেশ্যাগমনের ও সব প্রকার অপবিত্রতা বা লোভের নামও যেন তোমাদের মধ্যে না হয়, যেমন পবিত্রদের উপযুক্ত। BSB BSB: But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed.
4 ULB আর খারাপ ব্যবহার এবং প্রলাপ কিম্বা ঠাট্টা তামাশা, এই সকল অশ্লীলতা ব্যবহার যেন না হয়, বরং যেন ধন্যবাদ দেওয়া হয়। BSB BSB: Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.
5 ULB কারণ তোমরা অবশ্যই জানো, বেশ্যাগামী কি অশুচি কি লোভী সে তো প্রতিমা পূজারী কেউই খ্রীষ্টের ও ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে অধিকার পায় না। BSB BSB: For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 ULB অযথা কথা দিয়ে কেউ যেন তোমাদেরকে না ভুলায়; কারণ এই সকল দোষের কারণে অবাধ্যতার সন্তানদের উপরে ঈশ্বরের ক্রোধ আসে। BSB BSB: Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 ULB অতএব তাদের সহভাগী হয়ো না; BSB BSB: Therefore do not be partakers with them.
8 ULB কারণ তোমরা একসময়ে অন্ধকার ছিলে, কিন্তু এখন প্রভুতে আলোকিত হয়েছ; আলোর সন্তানদের মত চল- BSB BSB: For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
9 ULB কারণ সব রকম মঙ্গলভাবে, ধার্মিকতায় ও সত্যে আলোর ফল হয়- BSB BSB: for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
10 ULB প্রভুর সন্তোষজনক কি, তার পরীক্ষা কর। BSB BSB: Test and prove what pleases the Lord.
11 ULB আর অন্ধকারের ফলহীন কাজের ভাগী হয়ো না, বরং সেগুলির দোষ দেখিয়ে দাও। BSB BSB: Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
12 ULB কারণ ওরা গোপনে যে সব কাজ করে, তা উচ্চারণ করাও লজ্জার বিষয়। BSB BSB: For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
13 ULB কিন্তু দোষ দেখিয়ে দেওয়া হলে সকলই আলোর দ্বারা প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়ে; সাধারণত যা প্রকাশ হয়ে পড়ে, তা সবই আলোকিত। BSB BSB: But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself.
14 ULB এই জন্য পবিত্র শাস্ত্রে লেখা আছে, “হে ঘুমন্ত ব্যক্তি, জেগে ওঠ এবং মৃতদের ভিতর থেকে উঠ, তাতে খ্রীষ্ট তোমার উপরে আলোক উজ্জ্বল করবেন।” BSB BSB: So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15 ULB অতএব তোমরা ভালো করে দেখ, কিভাবে চলছ; অজ্ঞানের মতো না চলে জ্ঞানীদের মতো চল। BSB BSB: Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
16 ULB সুযোগ কিনে নাও, কারণ এই সময় খারাপ। BSB BSB: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 ULB এই কারণ বোকা হয়ো না, কিন্তু প্রভুর ইচ্ছা কি, তা বোঝো। BSB BSB: Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
18 ULB আর দ্রাক্ষারসে মাতাল হয়ো না, তাতে সর্বনাশ আছে; কিন্তু পবিত্র আত্মাতে পরিপূর্ণ হও; BSB BSB: Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
19 ULB গীত, স্তোত্র ও আত্মিক সঙ্কীর্ত্তনে একে অপরে কথা বল; নিজ নিজ হৃদয়ে প্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে গান ও বাজনা কর; BSB BSB: Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord,
20 ULB সবসময় সব বিষয়ের জন্য আমাদের প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের নামে পিতা ঈশ্বরের ধন্যবাদ কর; BSB BSB: always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 ULB খ্রীষ্টের ভয়ে একজন অন্য জনের বাধ্য হও। BSB BSB: Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 ULB নারীরা, তোমরা যেমন প্রভুর, তেমনি নিজ নিজ স্বামীর বাধ্য হও। BSB BSB: Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
23 ULB কারণ স্বামী স্ত্রীর মস্তক, যেমন খ্রীষ্টও মণ্ডলীর মস্তক; তিনি আবার দেহের উদ্ধারকর্তা; BSB BSB: For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior.
24 ULB কিন্তু মণ্ডলী যেমন খ্রীষ্টের বাধ্য, তেমনি নারীরা সব বিষয়ে নিজের নিজের স্বামীর বাধ্য হোক। BSB BSB: Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
26 ULB যেন তিনি জল স্নান দ্বারা বাক্যে তাকে শুচী করে পবিত্র করেন, BSB BSB: to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27 ULB যেন নিজে নিজের কাছে মণ্ডলীকে মহিমাময় অবস্থায় উপস্থিত করেন, যেন তার কলঙ্ক বা সঙ্কোচ বা এই রকম আর কোন কিছুই না থাকে, বরং সে যেন পবিত্র ও নিন্দা হীন হয়। BSB BSB: and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.
28 ULB এই রকম স্বামীরাও নিজ নিজ স্ত্রীকে নিজ নিজ শরীরের মত ভালবাসতে বাধ্য। নিজের স্ত্রীকে যে ভালবাসে, সে নিজেকেই ভালবাসে। BSB BSB: In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 ULB কেউ ত কখনও নিজ দেহের প্রতি ঘৃণা করে নি, বরং সবাই তার ভরণ পোষণ ও লালন পালন করে; যেমন খ্রীষ্টও মণ্ডলীকে করছেন; BSB BSB: Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.
30 ULB কারণ আমরা তাঁর দেহের অঙ্গ। BSB BSB: For we are members of His body.
31 ULB “এই জন্য মানুষ নিজ পিতা মাতাকে ত্যাগ করে নিজ স্ত্রীতে আসক্ত হবে এবং সেই দুই জন এক দেহ হবে।” BSB BSB: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
32 ULB এই লুকানো সত্য মহৎ, কিন্তু আমি খ্রীষ্টের ও মণ্ডলীর উদ্দেশ্যে এটা বললাম। BSB BSB: This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.
33 ULB তবুও তোমারও প্রত্যেকে নিজ নিজ স্ত্রীকে সেই রকম নিজের মত ভালবেস; কিন্তু স্ত্রীর উচিত যেন সে স্বামীকে ভয় করে। BSB BSB: Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
