8 ULB মিশর নীল নদীর মত হয়ে উঠে আসছে, নদীর মত জল তোলপাড় করছে। সে বলে, ‘আমি উপরে উঠব; আমি পৃথিবী ঢেকে ফেলব; আমি শহরগুলি ও তাদের বাসিন্দাদের ধ্বংস করব।’ BSB BSB: Egypt rises like the Nile, and its waters churn like rivers, boasting, ‘I will rise and cover the earth; I will destroy the cities and their people.’

10 ULB সেই দিনটি বাহিনীগণের প্রভু সদাপ্রভুর প্রতিশোধের দিন। তিনি তাঁর শত্রুদের উপর প্রতিশোধ নেবেন। তরোয়াল গ্রাস করবে এবং তৃপ্ত হবে। তাদের রক্ত পান করে পরিতৃপ্ত হবে, কারণ উত্তর দিকের দেশে, ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর কাছে বাহিনীগণের প্রভু সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে বলিদান হবে। BSB BSB: For that day belongs to the Lord GOD of Hosts, a day of vengeance against His foes. The sword will devour until it is satisfied, until it is quenched with their blood. For the Lord GOD of Hosts will hold a sacrifice in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.
11 ULB “হে মিশরের কুমারী কন্যা, তুমি গিলিয়দে উঠে যাও, ওষুধ সংগ্রহ কর। বৃথাই তুমি বেশি ওষুধ নিচ্ছ; তুমি সুস্থ হবে না। BSB BSB: Go up to Gilead for balm, O Virgin Daughter of Egypt! In vain you try many remedies, but for you there is no healing.
12 ULB জাতিরা তোমার অপমানের কথা শুনেছে; তোমার বিলাপে পৃথিবী পূর্ণ হবে। এক সৈন্য আর এক সৈন্যের উপর হোঁচট খেয়েছে, দুজনেই একসঙ্গে পতিত হল।” BSB BSB: The nations have heard of your shame, and your outcry fills the earth, because warrior stumbles over warrior and both of them have fallen together.”
13 ULB বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিৎসর কখন মিশর দেশে এসে আক্রমণ করবেন সেই কথা সদাপ্রভু ভাববাদী যিরমিয়কে বললেন। BSB BSB: This is the word that the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt:
14 ULB “তোমরা মিশরে প্রচার কর, মিগ্দোল ও নোফে এটি শোনা যাক। তফনহেষে ঘোষণা করে বল, ‘তোমরা জায়গা নিয়ে দাঁড়াও ও প্রস্তুত হও, কারণ তরোয়াল তোমাদের চারপাশে গ্রাস করছে’। BSB BSB: “Announce it in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol; proclaim it in Memphis and Tahpanhes: ‘Take your positions and prepare yourself, for the sword devours those around you.’
15 ULB তোমাদের দেবতা আপিস কেন পালিয়ে গেল? কেন তোমাদের দেবতা দাঁড়াতে পারছে না? সদাপ্রভু তাদের নীচে ছুঁড়ে ফেলেছেন। BSB BSB: Why have your warriors been laid low? They cannot stand, for the LORD has thrust them down.

They say, ‘Get up! Let us return to our people and to the land of our birth, away from the sword of the oppressor.’
17 ULB তারা সেখানে ঘোষণা করল, “মিশরের রাজা ফরৌণ শুধুমাত্র একটি শব্দ; যে তার সুযোগ হারিয়েছে’।” BSB BSB: There they will cry out: ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt was all noise; he has let the appointed time pass him by.’
18 ULB সেই রাজা, যাঁর নাম বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, তাঁর ঘোষণা- “আমার জীবনের দিব্যি, পর্বতের মধ্যে তাবোরের মত এবং সমুদ্রের কাছের কর্মিলের মত একজন আসবেন। BSB BSB: As surely as I live, declares the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts, there will come one who is like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea.
19 ULB হে মিশরের মেয়েরা, নির্বাসনের জন্য তোমাদের জিনিসপত্র গুছিয়ে নাও। কারণ নোফ ভয়ঙ্কর, ধ্বংসস্থান হয়ে যাবে; সেখানে কেউ বাস করবে না। BSB BSB: Pack your bags for exile, O daughter dwelling in Egypt! For Memphis will be laid waste, destroyed and uninhabited.

25 ULB বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর বলেন, “দেখ, আমি নো শহরের দেবতা আমোনকে, ফরৌণ ও মিশরকে, তার দেবতাদের ও রাজাদের, ফরৌণের উপর নির্ভরশীল সবাইকে শাস্তি দেব। BSB BSB: The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I am about to punish Amon god of Thebes, along with Pharaoh, Egypt with her gods and kings, and those who trust in Pharaoh.

27 ULB “কিন্তু তুমি, আমার দাস যাকোব, ভয় কোরো না; আতঙ্কিত হোয়ো না, ইস্রায়েল, কারণ আমি তোমাকে দূর দেশ থেকে ও বন্দী থাকা দেশ থেকে ফিরিয়ে আনব। তখন যাকোব ফিরে আসবে, শান্তিতে খুঁজে পাবে ও নিরাপদে থাকবে এবং কেউ তাকে ভয় দেখাবে না। BSB BSB: But you, O Jacob My servant, do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed, O Israel. For I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their captivity! Jacob will return to quiet and ease, with no one to make him afraid.
28 ULB তুমি, আমার দাস যাকোব, ভয় কোরো না”- এটা সদাপ্রভুর ঘোষণা। “কারণ আমি তোমার সঙ্গে আছি। তাই যে সব জাতির মধ্যে আমি তোমাকে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলাম, আমি তাদের সম্পূর্ণভাবে ধ্বংস করব। কিন্তু আমি তোমাকে সম্পূর্ণভাবে ধ্বংস করব না। যদিও আমি তোমাকে যথাযথভাবে শাসন করব, একেবারে শাস্তি না দিয়েও ছাড়ব না।” BSB BSB: And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid, declares the LORD, for I am with you. Though I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have banished you, I will not completely destroy you. Yet I will discipline you justly, and will by no means leave you unpunished.”
