4 ULB আসুন যা ন্যায্য তা আমরা বেছে নিই: আসুন যা আমাদের মধ্যে ভাল তার আবিষ্কার করি। BSB BSB: Let us choose for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good.
5 ULB কারণ ইয়োব বললেন, ‘আমি ধার্মিক, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর আমার অধিকার নিয়ে নিয়েছেন। BSB BSB: For Job has declared, ‘I am righteous, yet God has deprived me of justice.
6 ULB আমার অধিকার অগ্রাহ্য হয়, আমি মিথ্যাবাদীর মত বিবেচিত হব। আমার আঘাত সারে না, যদিও আমি পাপ বিহীন।’ BSB BSB: Would I lie about my case? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.’
7 ULB ইয়োবের মত লোক কে, কে জলের মত উপহাস পান করে, BSB BSB: What man is like Job, who drinks up derision like water?

10 ULB তাই আমার কথা শোন, তোমরা বুদ্ধিমান লোকেরা: এটা ঈশ্বরের দূরে থাক যে তিনি মন্দ কাজ করবেন; সর্বশক্তিমানের থেকে এটা দূরে থাক যে তিনি পাপ করবেন। BSB BSB: Therefore listen to me, O men of understanding. Far be it from God to do wrong, and from the Almighty to act unjustly.
11 ULB কারণ তিনি মানুষকে তার কাজের ফল দিয়ে থাকেন; তিনি প্রত্যেক মানুষকে তার নিজের পথ অনুযায়ী পুরস্কার দেন। BSB BSB: For according to a man’s deeds He repays him; according to a man’s ways He brings consequences.
12 ULB সত্যি, ঈশ্বর কোন মন্দ কাজ করেন নি, না সর্বশক্তিমান কোনদিন ন্যায়বিচার বিকৃত করেছেন। BSB BSB: Indeed, it is true that God does not act wickedly, and the Almighty does not pervert justice.
13 ULB পৃথিবীর কর্ত্তৃত্বভার তাকে কে দিয়েছে? সমস্ত পৃথিবীর দায়িত্ব তাকে কে দিয়েছে? BSB BSB: Who gave Him charge over the earth? Who appointed Him over the whole world?
14 ULB যদি তিনি তার উদ্দেশ্য কেবল নিজের ওপরই রাখেন এবং যদি তিনি নিজের আত্মা এবং প্রাণবায়ু সংগ্রহ করেন, BSB BSB: If He were to set His heart to it and withdraw His Spirit and breath,
15 ULB তবে সমস্ত মানুষ একসঙ্গে ধ্বংস হবে; মানবজাতি আবার ধূলোয় ফিরে যাবে। BSB BSB: all flesh would perish together and mankind would return to the dust.

23 ULB কারণ একজন ব্যক্তিকে বার বার পরীক্ষা করার ঈশ্বরের প্রয়োজন নেই; বিচারে তাঁর সামনে যাওয়ার কোন প্রয়োজন নেই। BSB BSB: For God need not examine a man further or have him approach for judgment.
24 ULB তিনি পরাক্রমীদের টুকরো টুকরো করে ভেঙ্গেছেন তাদের পথের জন্য যার আর কোন তদন্ত করার প্রয়োজন নেই; তিনি অন্যদের তাদের জায়গায় রেখেছেন। BSB BSB: He shatters the mighty without inquiry and sets up others in their place.

33 ULB আপনি কি মনে করেন যে ঈশ্বর ঐ ব্যক্তির পাপের শাস্তি দেবেন, যেহেতু আপনি ঈশ্বরের কাজ অপছন্দ করেন? আমি না, আপনাকে অবশ্যই নির্বাচন করতে হবে। সুতরাং আপনি যা জানেন বলুন। BSB BSB: Should God repay you on your own terms when you have disavowed Him? You must choose, not I; so tell me what you know.

35 ULB ‘ইয়োব জ্ঞানহীনের মত কথা বলছে; তার কথা গুলো জ্ঞানহীন।’ BSB BSB: ‘Job speaks without knowledge; his words lack insight.’
36 ULB আহা, ইয়োবকে যদি শেষ পর্যন্ত পরীক্ষিত হয় ভাল কারণ তার কথ পাপী মানুষদের মত। BSB BSB: If only Job were tried to the utmost for answering like a wicked man.
37 ULB কারণ তিনি তার পাপের সঙ্গে বিদ্রোহ যোগ করেন; তিনি উপহাসে আমাদের মধ্যে হাততালি দেন; তিনি ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে অনেক কথা বলেন।” BSB BSB: For he adds rebellion to his sin; he claps his hands among us and multiplies his words against God.”
