3 ULB আর সকালে বলে থাক, আজ ঝড় হবে, কারণ আকাশ লাল ও মেঘাচ্ছন্ন হয়ে আছে। তোমরা আকাশের ভাব বুঝতে পার, কিন্তু কালের চিহ্নের বিষয়ে বুঝতে পার না। BSB BSB: and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but not the signs of the times.

5 ULB শিষ্যেরা অন্য পাড়ে যাবার সময় রুটি নিতে ভুলে গিয়েছিলেন। BSB BSB: When they crossed to the other side, the disciples forgot to take bread.
6 ULB যীশু তাঁদের বললেন, তোমরা সতর্ক হও, ফরীশী ও সদ্দূকীদের তাড়ী (খামির) থেকে সাবধান থাক। BSB BSB: “Watch out!” Jesus told them. “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
7 ULB তখন তাঁরা নিজেদের মধ্য তর্ক করে বলতে লাগলেন, আমরা রুটি আনিনি বলে তিনি এমন বলছেন। BSB BSB: They discussed this among themselves and concluded, “It is because we did not bring any bread.”
8 ULB তা বুঝতে পেরে যীশু বললেন, "হে অল্প বিশ্বাসীরা, তোমদের রুটি নেই বলে কেন নিজেদের মধ্য তর্ক করছ? BSB BSB: Aware of their conversation, Jesus said, “You of little faith, why are you debating among yourselves about having no bread?
9 ULB তোমরা কি এখনও কিছু জানতে বা বুঝতে পারছ না, মনেও কি পড়ে না, সেই পাঁচ হাজার লোকের খাবার পাঁচটি রুটি দিয়ে, আর তোমরা কত ঝুড়ি তুলে নিয়েছিলে? BSB BSB: Do you still not understand? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?
10 ULB এবং সেই চার হাজার লোকের খাবার সাতটি রুটি, আর কত ঝুড়ি তুলে নিয়েছিলে? BSB BSB: Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?
11 ULB তোমরা কেন বোঝ না যে, আমি তোমাদের রুটি র বিষয়ে বলিনি? কিন্তু তোমরা ফরীশী ও সদ্দূকীদের খামির থেকে সাবধান থাক।" BSB BSB: How do you not understand that I was not telling you about bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
12 ULB তখন তাঁরা বুঝলেন, তিনি রুটি র খামির থেকে নয়, কিন্তু ফরীশী ও সদ্দূকীদের শিক্ষা থেকে সাবধান থাকার কথা বললেন। BSB BSB: Then they understood that He was not telling them to beware of the leaven used in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
13 ULB পরে যীশু কৈসরিয়ার ফিলিপীর অঞ্চলে গিয়ে তাঁর শিষ্যদের জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, "মানবপুত্র কে, এ বিষয়ে লোকে কি বলে?" BSB BSB: When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, He questioned His disciples: “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14 ULB তাঁরা বললেন, "কেউ কেউ বলে, আপনি বাপ্তিষ্মদাতা যোহন, কেউ কেউ বলে, আপনি এলিয়, আর কেউ কেউ বলে, আপনি যিরমিয় কিংবা ভাববাদীদের কোন একজন।" BSB BSB: They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 ULB তিনি তাঁদের বললেন, "কিন্তু তোমরা কি বল, আমি কে?" BSB BSB: “But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 ULB শিমোন পিতর এর উত্তর দিয়ে তাঁকে বললেন, "আপনি সেই খ্রীষ্ট, জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরের পুত্র।" BSB BSB: Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 ULB তখন যীশু উত্তরে তাঁকে বললেন, "যোনার পুত্র শিমোন, ধন্য তুমি! কারণ রক্ত ও মাংস তোমার কাছে এ বিষয় প্রকাশ করে নি, কিন্তু আমার স্বর্গস্থ পিতা প্রকাশ করেছেন।" BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven.
19 ULB আমি তোমাকে স্বর্গরাজ্যের চাবিগুলি দেব, আর তুমি পৃথিবীতে যা কিছু বাঁধবে, তা স্বর্গে বাঁধা হবে এবং পৃথিবীতে যা কিছু খুলবে, তা স্বর্গে খোলা হবে। BSB BSB: I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
20 ULB তখন তিনি শিষ্যদের এই আজ্ঞা দিলেন, আমি যে সেই খ্রীষ্ট, একথা কাউকে বল না। BSB BSB: Then He admonished the disciples not to tell anyone that He was the Christ.
21 ULB সেই সময় থেকে যীশু তাঁর শিষ্যদের স্পষ্টই বললেন যে, "তাঁকে যিরুশালেমে যেতে হবে এবং প্রাচীনদের, প্রধান যাজকদের ও ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকদের কাছ থেকে অনেক দুঃখ সহ্য করতে হবে ও মৃত্যুবরণ করতে হবে, আর তৃতীয় দিনে মৃত্যু থেকে জীবিত হয়ে উঠতে হবে।" BSB BSB: From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22 ULB তখন পিতর তাঁকে এক পাশে নিয়ে গিয়ে ধমক দিতে লাগলেন, বললেন, "প্রভু, এই সব আপনার থেকে দূরে থাকুক, এই সব আপনার প্রতি কখনও ঘটবে না।" BSB BSB: Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. “Far be it from You, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to You!”
23 ULB কিন্তু তিনি মুখ ফিরিয়ে পিতরকে বললেন, "আমার সামনে থেকে দূর হও, শয়তান, তুমি আমার বাধা স্বরূপ, কারণ তুমি ঈশ্বরের কথা নয়, কিন্তু যা মানুষের কথা তাই তুমি ভাবছ।" BSB BSB: But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
24 ULB তখন যীশু তাঁর শিষ্যদের বললেন, "কেউ যদি আমাকে অনুসরণ করতে চায়, তবে সে নিজেকে অস্বীকার করুক, নিজের ক্রুশ তুলে নিক এবং আমাকে অনুসরণ করুক। BSB BSB: Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.
25 ULB যে কেউ তার প্রাণ রক্ষা করতে ইচ্ছা করে, সে তা হারাবে, আর যে কেউ আমার জন্য প্রাণ হারায়, সে তা পাবে। BSB BSB: For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 ULB মানুষ যদি সমস্ত জগত লাভ করে নিজের প্রাণ হারায়, তবে তার কি লাভ হবে? কিম্বা মানুষ তার প্রাণের পরিবর্তে কি দিতে পারে?" BSB BSB: What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 ULB কারণ মানবপুত্র তাঁর দূতদের সঙ্গে, তাঁর পিতার প্রতাপে আসবেন, আর তখন প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তিকে তার কাজ অনুযায়ী ফল দেবেন। BSB BSB: For the Son of Man will come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has done.
28 ULB আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, যারা এখানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে, তাদের মধ্যে এমন কয়েক জন আছে, যারা কোন মতে মৃত্যু দেখবে না, যে পর্যন্ত মানবপুত্রকে তাঁর রাজ্যে আসতে না দেখে। BSB BSB: Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
