Nehemiah 7 (ULB)

1দেওয়াল গাঁথা শেষ হবার পর আমি ফটকগুলিতে দরজা লাগালাম এবং দারোয়ানরা, গায়কেরা ও লেবীয়েরা নিযুক্ত হল।When the wall had been rebuilt and I had set the doors in place, the gatekeepers, singers, and Levites were appointed.

2আর আমি নিজের ভাই হনানি ও দুর্গের সেনাপতি হনানিয়কে যিরূশালেমের ভার দিলাম, কারণ হনানিয় বিশ্বস্ত লোক ছিলেন এবং ঈশ্বরকে অনেকের চেয়ে বেশী ভয় করতেন।Then I put my brother Hanani in charge of Jerusalem, along with Hananiah the commander of the fortress, because he was a faithful man who feared God more than most.

3আর আমি তাঁদেরকে বললাম, “যতক্ষণ রোদ বেশী না হয়, ততক্ষণ যিরূশালেমের দরজাগুলো যেন খোলা না হয় এবং রক্ষীরা কাছে দাড়িয়ে থাকতে দরজাগুলো সব বন্ধ করা ও হুড়কা দেওয়া হয় এবং তোমরা যিরূশালেমের বাসিন্দাদের মধ্য থেকে যেন পাহারাদার নিযুক্ত কর, তারা প্রত্যেকে নিজের নিজের পাহারা দেবার জায়গায়, নিজের নিজের ঘরের সামনে থাকুক।”And I told them, “Do not open the gates of Jerusalem until the sun is hot. While the guards are on duty, keep the doors shut and securely fastened. And appoint the residents of Jerusalem as guards, some at their posts and some at their own homes.”

4শহর বড় ও বিস্তৃত, কিন্তু তার মধ্যে লোক অল্প ছিল, বাড়িগুলোও তৈরী করা যায়নিNow the city was large and spacious, but there were few people in it, and the houses had not yet been rebuilt.

5পরে আমার ঈশ্বর আমার মনে ইচ্ছা দিলে আমি গণ্যমান্য লোকদের, নেতাদের ও লোকদের জড়ো করলাম, যেন তাদের বংশ তালিকা লেখা হয়। আমি প্রথমে আসা লোকদের বংশ তালিকা পেলাম, তার মধ্যে এই কথা লেখা পেলামThen my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials, and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. I found the genealogical register of those who had first returned, and I found the following written in it:

6যারা বন্দী অবস্থায় আনা হয়েছিল, বাবিলের রাজা নবূখদনিত্সর যাদেরকে বন্দী করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন, তাদের মধ্যে প্রদেশের এই লোকেরা বন্দী অবস্থা থেকে গিয়ে যিরূশালেম ও যিহূদাতে নিজের নিজের শহরে ফিরে আসল;These are the people of the province who came up from the captivity of the exiles carried away to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar its king. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his own town,

7তারা সরুব্বাবিল, যেশূয়, নহিমিয়, অসরিয়, রয়মিয়া, নহমানি, মর্দখয়, বিল্‌শন, মিস্পরৎ, বিগ্‌বয়, নহূম ও বানা এদের সঙ্গে ফিরে আসল। সেই ইস্রায়েলীয়দের পুরুষ সংখ্যা;accompanied by Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, and Baanah. This is the count of the men of Israel:

8পরোশের বংশধর দুই হাজার একশো বাহাত্তর জন;the descendants of Parosh, 2,172;

9শফটিয়ের বংশধর তিনশো বাহাত্তর জন;the descendants of Shephatiah, 372;

10আরহের বংশধর ছশো বাহান্ন জন;the descendants of Arah, 652;

11যেশূয় ও যোয়াবের বংশধরদের মধ্যে পহৎ মোয়াবের বংশধর দুই হাজার আটশো আঠারো জন;the descendants of Pahath-moab (through the line of Jeshua and Joab), 2,818;

12এলমের বংশধর এক হাজার দুশো চুয়ান্ন জন;the descendants of Elam, 1,254;

13সত্তূর বংশধর আটশো পঁয়তাল্লিশ জন;the descendants of Zattu, 845;

14সক্কয়ের বংশধর সাতশো ষাট জন;the descendants of Zaccai, 760;

15বিন্নূয়ির বংশধর ছশো আটচল্লিশ জন;the descendants of Binnui, 648;

16বেবয়ের বংশধর ছশো আটাশ জন;the descendants of Bebai, 628;

17আস্‌গদের বংশধর দুই হাজার তিনশো বাইশ জন;the descendants of Azgad, 2,322;

18অদোনীকামের বংশধর ছশো সাতষট্টি জন;the descendants of Adonikam, 667;

19বিগ্‌বয়ের বংশধর দুই হাজার সাতষট্টি জন;the descendants of Bigvai, 2,067;

20আদীনের বংশধর ছশো পঞ্চান্ন জন;the descendants of Adin, 655;

21যিহিষ্কিয়ের বংশধর আটেরের বংশধর আটানব্বইজন।the descendants of Ater (through Hezekiah), 98;

22হশুমের বংশধর তিনশো আটাশ জন;the descendants of Hashum, 328;

23বেৎসয়ের বংশধর তিনশো চব্বিশ জন;the descendants of Bezai, 324;

24হারীফের বংশধর একশো বারো জন;the descendants of Hariph, 112;

25গিবিয়োনের বংশধর পঁচানব্বইজন।the descendants of Gibeon, 95;

26বৈৎলেহম ও নটোফার লোক একশো অষ্টাশি জন;the men of Bethlehem and Netophah, 188;

27অনাথোতের লোক একশো আটাশ জন;the men of Anathoth, 128;

28বৈৎ অস্মাবতের লোক বিয়াল্লিশ জন;the men of Beth-azmaveth, 42;

29কিরিয়ৎ যিয়ারীম, কফীরা ও বেরোতের লোক সাতশো তেতাল্লিশ জন;the men of Kiriath-jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, 743;

30রামা ও গেবার লোক ছশো একুশ জন;the men of Ramah and Geba, 621;

31মিক্‌মসের লোক একশো বাইশ জন;the men of Michmash, 122;

32বৈথেল ও অয়ের লোক একশো তেইশ জন;the men of Bethel and Ai, 123;

33অন্য নবোর লোক বাহান্নজন;the men of the other Nebo, 52;

34অন্য এলমের লোক এক হাজার দুশো চুয়ান্ন জন;the descendants of the other Elam, 1,254;

35হারীমের লোক তিনশো বিশ জন;the descendants of Harim, 320;

36যিরীহোর লোক তিনশো পয়ঁতাল্লিশ জন;the men of Jericho, 345;

37লোদ, হাদীদ এবং ওনোর বংশধর সাতশো একুশ জন;the men of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, 721;

38সনায়ার লোক তিন হাজার নশো ত্রিশ জন।and the descendants of Senaah, 3,930.

39যাজকদের সংখ্যা এই: যেশূয়ের বংশের মধ্যে যিদয়িয়ের বংশের নশো তিয়াত্তর জন;The priests: the descendants of Jedaiah (through the house of Jeshua), 973;

40ইম্মেরের বংশধর এক হাজার বাহান্ন জন;the descendants of Immer, 1,052;

41পশ্‌হূরের বংশধর এক হাজার দুশো সাতচল্লিশ জন;the descendants of Pashhur, 1,247;

42হারীমের বংশধর এক হাজার সতেরো জন।and the descendants of Harim, 1,017.

43লেবীয়দের সংখ্যা এই: যেশূয়ের বংশের কদ্‌মীয়েল ও হোদবিয়ের বংশধর চুয়াত্তরজন।The Levites: the descendants of Jeshua (through Kadmiel, through the line of Hodevah), 74.

44গায়কদের সংখ্যা এই: আসফের বংশধর একশো আটচল্লিশ জন।The singers: the descendants of Asaph, 148.

45রক্ষীরা: শল্লুমের, আটেরের, টল্‌মোনের, অক্কূবের, হটীটার ও শোবয়ের বংশধর একশো আটত্রিশ জন।The gatekeepers: the descendants of Shallum, the descendants of Ater, the descendants of Talmon, the descendants of Akkub, the descendants of Hatita, and the descendants of Shobai, 138 in all.

46নথীনীয়রা: সীহ, হসূফা ও টব্বায়োতের বংশধরেরা;The temple servants: the descendants of Ziha, the descendants of Hasupha, the descendants of Tabbaoth,

47কেরোস, সীয় ও পাদোনের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Keros, the descendants of Sia, the descendants of Padon,

48লবানা, হগাব ও শল্‌ময়ের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Lebanah, the descendants of Hagabah, the descendants of Shalmai,

49হানন, গিদ্দেল ও গহরের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Hanan, the descendants of Giddel, the descendants of Gahar,

50রায়া, রৎসীন ও নকোদের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Reaiah, the descendants of Rezin, the descendants of Nekoda,

51গসম, ঊষ ও পাসেহের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Gazzam, the descendants of Uzza, the descendants of Paseah,

52বেষয়, মিয়ূনীম ও নফুষযীমের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Besai, the descendants of Meunim, the descendants of Nephushesim,

53বকবূক, হকূফা ও হর্হূরের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Bakbuk, the descendants of Hakupha, the descendants of Harhur,

54বসলীত, মহীদা ও হর্শার বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Bazlith, the descendants of Mehida, the descendants of Harsha,

55বর্কোস, সীষরা ও তেমহের বংশধরেরা;the descendants of Barkos, the descendants of Sisera, the descendants of Temah,

56নৎসীহ ও হটীফার বংশধরেরা।the descendants of Neziah, and the descendants of Hatipha.

57শলোমনের চাকরদের বংশধরেরা: সোটয়, সোফেরত, পরীদা,The descendants of the servants of Solomon: the descendants of Sotai, the descendants of Sophereth, the descendants of Perida,

58যালা, দর্কোন, গিদ্দেল,the descendants of Jaala, the descendants of Darkon, the descendants of Giddel,

59শফটিয়, হটীল, পোখেরৎ হৎসবায়ীম ও আমোনের বংশধরেরা।the descendants of Shephatiah, the descendants of Hattil, the descendants of Pochereth-hazzebaim, and the descendants of Amon.

60নথীনীয়েরা ও শলোমনের চাকরদের বংশধরেরা মোট তিনশো বিরানব্বই জন।The temple servants and descendants of the servants of Solomon numbered 392 in all.

61তেল্‌ মেলহ, তেল্‌হর্শা, করূব, অদ্দন ও ইম্মেরের এই এলাকা থেকে নিম্নলিখিত লোকেরা এল আসল; কিন্তু তারা ইস্রায়েলীয় লোক কি না, এ বিষয়ে নিজের নিজের বাবার বংশ কি গোষ্ঠীর প্রমাণ করতে পারল না;The following came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not prove that their families were descended from Israel:

62দলায়, টোবিয়, ও নকোদের বংশের ছশো বিয়াল্লিশ জন।the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, and the descendants of Nekoda, 642 in all.

63আর যাজকদের মধ্য থেকে হবায়, হক্কোস, ও বর্সিল্লয়ের বংশধরেরা; এই গিলিয়দীয় বর্সিল্লয়ের এক মেয়েকে বিয়ে করে তাদের নামে আখ্যাত হয়েছিল।And from among the priests: the descendants of Hobaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, and the descendants of Barzillai (who had married a daughter of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called by their name).

64বংশ তালিকাতে বলা লোকদের মধ্যে এরা নিজের নিজের বংশ তালিকা খোঁজ করে পেল না, এই জন্য এরা অশুচি গণ্য হয়ে যাজকত্ব থেকে বাদ হয়ে গেল।These men searched for their family records, but they could not find them and so were excluded from the priesthood as unclean.

65আর শাসনকর্তা তাদেরকে আদেশ দিলেন, যতদিন ঊরীম ও তুম্মীম ব্যবহার করবার অধিকারী কোন যাজক উত্পন্ন না হয়, ততদিন পর্যন্ত তোমরা পবিত্র খাবারের কিছু খেয় না।”The governor ordered them not to eat the most holy things until there was a priest to consult the Urim and Thummim.

66জড়ো করা গোটা দলটার লোকসংখ্যা ছিল বিয়াল্লিশ হাজার তিনশো ষাট জন।The whole assembly numbered 42,360,

67এছাড়া সাত হাজার তিনশো সাঁইত্রিশ জন চাকর চাকরানী এবং তাঁদের দুশো পঁয়তাল্লিশ জন গায়ক গায়িকাও ছিল।in addition to their 7,337 menservants and maidservants, as well as their 245 male and female singers.

68তাদের সাতশো ছত্রিশটা ঘোড়া, দুশো পঁয়তাল্লিশটি খচ্চর,They had 736 horses, 245 mules,

69চারশো পঁয়ত্রিশটি উট ও ছয় হাজার সাতশো কুড়িটা গাধা ছিল।435 camels, and 6,720 donkeys.

70বংশের প্রধান লোকদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ কাজের জন্য দান করলেন। শাসনকর্তা ধনভাণ্ডারে দিলেন এক হাজার সোনার অর্দকোন, পঞ্চাশটা বাটি ও যাজকদের জন্য পাঁচশো ত্রিশটা পোশাক দিলেন।Some of the heads of the families contributed to the project. The governor gave to the treasury 1,000 darics of gold, 50 bowls, and 530 priestly garments.

71বংশের প্রধান লোকদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ এই কাজের জন্য সোনার কুড়ি হাজার অর্দকোন ও দুই হাজার দুশো মানি রুপো ধনভাণ্ডারে দিলেন।And some of the heads of the families gave to the treasury for the project 20,000 darics of gold and 2,200 minas of silver.

72বাকী লোকেরা দিল মোট সোনার কুড়ি হাজার অর্দকোন, দুই হাজার মানি রুপো ও যাজকদের জন্য সাতষট্টিটা পোশাক।The rest of the people gave a total of 20,000 darics of gold, 2,000 minas of silver, and 67 priestly garments.

73পরে যাজকেরা, লেবীয়েরা, রক্ষীরা, গায়কেরা, কোনো লোক ও নথীনীয়েরা এবং সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা নিজের নিজের শহরে বাস করতে লাগল।So the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, and temple servants, along with some of the people and the rest of the Israelites, settled in their own towns. And by the seventh month the Israelites had settled in their towns.
