3. 2BSBTo the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace and peace to you from God our Father.KJVKJV: To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4. Thanksgiving and Prayer

5. 3BSBWe always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,KJVKJV: We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
6. 4BSBbecause we have heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all the saints—KJVKJV: Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
7. 5BSBthe faith and love proceeding from the hope stored up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospelKJVKJV: For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
8. 6BSBthat has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood the grace of God.KJVKJV: Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

10. 8BSBand who also informed us of your love in the Spirit.KJVKJV: Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
11. 9BSBFor this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,KJVKJV: For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
12. 10BSBso that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,KJVKJV: That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
13. 11BSBbeing strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience, and joyfullyKJVKJV: Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
14. 12BSBgiving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.KJVKJV: Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
15. 13BSBHe has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son,KJVKJV: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
16. 14BSBin whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.KJVKJV: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

17. The Supremacy of the Son

19. 16BSBFor in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. 23. 20BSBand through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross.KJVKJV: And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
24. 21BSBOnce you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds, engaging in evil deeds.KJVKJV: And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
25. 22BSBBut now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence—KJVKJV: In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
26. 23BSBif indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.KJVKJV: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

27. Paul’s Suffering for the Church
