Berean Standard BibleKing James Version

1. Rejoice in the Lord

2. 1BSBTherefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you must stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.KJVKJV: Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
3. 2BSBI urge Euodia and Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord.KJVKJV: I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
4. 3BSBYes, and I ask you, my true yokefellow, to help these women who have contended at my side for the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.KJVKJV: And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
5. 4BSBRejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!KJVKJV: Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
6. 5BSBLet your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near.KJVKJV: Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
7. 6BSBBe anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.KJVKJV: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
8. 7BSBAnd the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.KJVKJV: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
9. 8BSBFinally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.KJVKJV: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
10. 9BSBWhatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.KJVKJV: Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

11. The Generosity of the Philippians

    (2 Corinthians 8:1–15)

12. 10BSBNow I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.KJVKJV: But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
13. 11BSBI am not saying this out of need, for I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances.KJVKJV: Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
14. 12BSBI know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. In any and every situation I have learned the secret of being filled and being hungry, of having plenty and having need.KJVKJV: I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
15. 13BSBI can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.KJVKJV: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
16. 14BSBNevertheless, you have done well to share in my affliction.KJVKJV: Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
17. 15BSBAnd as you Philippians know, in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church but you partnered with me in the matter of giving and receiving.KJVKJV: Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
18. 16BSBFor even while I was in Thessalonica, you provided for my needs again and again.KJVKJV: For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
19. 17BSBNot that I am seeking a gift, but I am looking for the fruit that may be credited to your account.KJVKJV: Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
20. 18BSBI have all I need and more, now that I have received your gifts from Epaphroditus. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.KJVKJV: But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
21. 19BSBAnd my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.KJVKJV: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
22. 20BSBTo our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.KJVKJV: Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

23. Final Greetings

    (Ephesians 6:21–24; 2 Timothy 4:19–22)

24. 21BSBGreet all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you greetings.KJVKJV: Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
25. 22BSBAll the saints send you greetings, especially those from the household of Caesar.KJVKJV: All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar’s household.
26. 23BSBThe grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.KJVKJV: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
