1ሀሱ ጎራታ ኩማ ካሞጋኒ ካቶታምራ ጎሳ እስ እስ ታዳዳራሮ ጌግን ኩኩ አመ ግራን፥ የሱሳ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራዉን ሃ አማኖ ሀጋአበ፤ “ፋራሳውልኮት ሜላነኮ እስኦትስን ኦራዬን፤ ህክና ኢፍሳዳናትያ።In the meantime, a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling one another. Jesus began to speak first to His disciples: “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

2ካሙቶን ካጎላተራ፥ ካአዴሳሞን ካስያመራ ኮና ላግሮ።There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.

3ሃንሱን እስን ሙጉድ ካአዬሳታን ዱባ ኢፋ ማልሳምናራ። እልፍኒ ኦሮ ነቤ ማርካ ካአዬሰታን ዲዳብ ሰጋምናራ።What you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the housetops.

4“ኦጌላታሮኦተ፥ አን ሃ አማራ፥ ሶ ካላጋዳሮ ኤሰኮ አባባይ አድ ኮና የልን ካዳንዴኖንኮ አሮአብሳቴን።I tell you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.

5አየሱን ጎአመን እስን አብሳይን ካዶትሳሮ አን ቱስናራ፥ ካኮላጋደ ጎራታ ታባኖን ኤለኒ ሉጉድን ኦዶናት ካአቦ ዋ አብሳዬን። እ፥ ኡሱ አብሳዬን አማራ።But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who, after you have been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him!

6ክምብርጆል ከኖ ሳንትሚ ቶይ ላዳዳላማሮላ? ሀሌዎ ኳሬ ኤሰኮ ቶ ዱዶ ዋይ ዶሌ ላኮኢሎታማቶ።Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.

7መተ ካክስንኮክ ፊጣ ዱባ ካቶታመያ፥ ጎርታ አሮአብሳቴን። ካሞጋን ክምብርጆልኮ እስን ታሮራቶ ላኦ አብታን።And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

8“የሱሳና አን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፥ እባዶ ሆረ እን ካአቶታሮ ዱባን ኤረ ካእባዶ አደ ኤርግቻ ካዋ ሆረ ኡሱን አቶትናራ።I tell you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God.

9እባዶ ሆረ እን ካካካታራና ኤርግቻ ካዋ ሆረ ካካምናራ።But whoever denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

10ኤረ ካእባዶ ጉት ካየራስሮ ሃፉራ ካአዬሳራ ዱባ ሀሄሶ አማማራ፥ አያና ቁሉክ ካሀባራራ አደ ሀሄሶ ላኮአማማሮ።And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

11“እባዶ እስን አብረ አይሁድኮክ ምን ካኤብ ሞት ቶንሳ ኦዶናት ካአቦ ቶስ እስን ካኮጌሰ ጎራታ፥ ምሲ ጎርቱን መ አም አባብናታን አሮያዴን።When you are brought before synagogues, rulers, and authorities, do not worry about how to defend yourselves or what to say.

12ሀሱ ጎራታ አያና ቁሉክ እስን አዬስን ካዶትሳሮ አጋልስስናራ።”For at that time the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say.”

13ጎሳ ኦሮኮ እባዶት ኮ፥ “ካአጋልስሳቶ፥ አቢክ እዬን ኤላ ጎጎሄዴድሮ ሰጊ” አመ።Someone in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

14የሱሳና፥ “አት እባዶት፥ እን እስን ጉት ካፍርዳሮና ኤላ ካሄዴዳሮ ካየለራ አዮያ?” አመ።But Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed Me judge or executor between you?”

15አደና፥ “ግር ካእባዶ ዱሩማ ጂናን ካኡኩማመሮ ማንኮሌኖ ማራን፥ እስኦራዬን፤ ጋጲጋጳኖ ዱባኮ እስኦራዬን” አመ።And He said to them, “Watch out! Guard yourselves against every form of greed, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

16ደቤና የሱሳ ሃ አመ ማሱሳይ ሰገ፥ “እራ ካም ኣሎ ካኮንዱባመረ ዱሬሳት ኮ ግረ።Then He told them a parable: “The ground of a certain rich man produced an abundance.

17ሂክ እባዶትና፥ ካም ታኮኩኩይሳራ ባንኤ ማንኮግኖን ማራን ‘አን ምስ የላ? አመ ዎዳናቴሳ ሄደ።’So he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, since I have nowhere to store my crops?’

18“ሃና አመ፥ ‘ሂካማሌ የልናራ ካግሮ ጎታራል ባስጉረ ካካለ ካባላኣን ጎታራል ማዳርናራ። ኡሱ ጎታራሊ ካምና ኡራዎኦተ ዱባ ኩኩይሳይናራ።Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and will build bigger ones, and there I will store up all my grain and my goods.

19ኔፎቴነ፥ ኔፎቴ፥ ጌስ ካሞጋኑን ታሌቶ ዱሩማ ኩን ኩኩይሰራ፥ ጎርታ ፎልሳ፥ አም፥ ጣም፥ ገጌላ’ ” አምናራ።Then I will say to myself, “You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take it easy. Eat, drink, and be merry!”’

20“ዋ አደ፥ ‘አት ጎዋ! ኔፎታ ህታሜን አን ኩኮ ኣትን ዶታራ። ጎርታ ኡሱን ካኩኩይሳተታ አዮን ሌራ?’ ” አመ።But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be required of you. Then who will own what you have accumulated?’

21ሃንሱን የሱሳ፥ “ኡሱን ዱሩማ ካኩኩይሳታራ አየሱን ጎአመን ዋይ ዶሌ ዱረሳ ካሌኖን እባዶትኮት ጋቾ ሂካማሌታ” አመ።This is how it will be for anyone who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich toward God.”

22ኤሰኮና የሱሳ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራነ ሃ አመ፥ ሃንሱን አን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፥ እስን ግርክስኑን መ አምናና፥ ጎርቱን ማርክስኑን መ ሳርሳይናና አም አሮያዴን።Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.

23ግር ባቦኮ ማርና ሳርስኮ ሮራራ።For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

24ቁራጆል ዲያ ላኮዉጣታናን፥ ላኮታጋታራን፥ ታኮኩኩይሳታራን ጎርቱን ጎታራ ላኮአባን፥ ዋ ጎአመን እሶ አምሳራ። እስና አደን ክምብርጆልኮ ኣሎ ላኮሮራታንያ?Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storehouse or barn; yet God feeds them. How much more valuable you are than the birds!

25ጎሌና እስንኮ ያደጉረ ጌስካከሳ ጉት አሪ ቶ አዳይን ካዳንዳራ አዮያ?Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

26ጎርታ ሂካ ክጫርክ አየስ ዱዶ ፈልን ካዳንዴኖን ጎሌተን አየስ ካካለቱን ሙን ያዳታን?So if you cannot do such a small thing, why do you worry about the rest?

27“አላ ዳራራል ምሲ ጂናታራን ዲያ፥ ላኮዳፉራናን፥ ላኮሱቃታራን፥ አየሱን ጎአመን አን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፥ ዎኖ ሶሎሞን ዱዶ ሀሱ ካባጃል ዱባኮ ኮ ኣን ላኮሳርሳተሮ።Consider how the lilies grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.

28ጎርታ ዋ ህታር ሙተረ ጌባር ኤለኒ ቶስ ካሻፋሮ ካዲዳ ኤስ ሃ ካሳርስሳሮ ጎሌ፥ እስን አማኖ ኦኮንሀንቃተራ፥ እስን ጎአመን ምሲ ሮርስ ሳርስሳና ዋታራ?If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith!

29ሃንሱን መ አምናና መ ጣምናና አማ ዶታታ ዎዳናትስን አሮያዶ።And do not be concerned about what you will eat or drink. Do not worry about it.

30ሂካ ጎአመን ካአይዛብ ጎሳ ዱባ ዶታታራ። ካዳሩረ ኣቦክስን ሂክ ዱባ እስኑን ካዶትሳሮ ላኖ ካሶዋ።For the Gentiles of the world strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

31አየሱን ጎአመን ዎኖናት ካዋ ዶታዬን፥ ሂክ ዱባና እስኑን አዳም ስሳምናራ።But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you.

32“እስን ጎሳ ኡጫር ኦሌተታን ዎኖናት እስኑን ስስን ኣቦክስንት ታኢዳነ ፈኢታ አሮአብሳቴን።Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

33እስኑን ካግሮ ዳዳላዴን ህየሳሉን ስሳ፥ ሄቶ ታኮሄቶን፥ ፊኖ ታኮአሞን ካዶአኖን ሽለ ኦጉዳኖን ኡራዎ ዳሩሪ ኩኩይሳዬን።Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

34ዎዳናትስን፥ ኡራዎ ኦትስን ታኮግራን ባንኤ ግራታ።For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

35“ጎርታ ሞዋዬዴን ኤካሳየን፤ ዳብክስን ካሀንቃየ ሀሌዎ።Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning.

36ጎታክሶ ምን ካሃስኖኮ ታ አባባሮን ኦኦራታራና ኤመይረ ኡፋ ጎባባሰ ጎርሰዋ ባንን ካኤካሳተሮ እባዶ ኣን ላ።Then you will be like servants waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once.

37ጎታክሶ ካኮኤሜታሮ ጎራታ ናባደን ግራን ኡሱ ኦሄላራ ኦሀንዳራን እሶ ኦሶማሳመንያን። አን ሩምና አማራ፥ ጎታክሶ ኤካሳተ ሞዋተረ፥ አሞና ሀማጽሳራ፥ ጋባላመና አምሳራ።Blessed are those servants whom the master finds on watch when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve and will have them recline at the table, and he himself will come and wait on them.

38ሄመን ጠኤና ሌረ ሉካለ ካሆሬ ኦዋ ግራን ኤመይረ ኡሱማሌ ናባደን ኦግራን ኡሱ ኦሄላራ፥ ሀኑኡ ኦሀንዳራን እሶ ኦሶማሳመንያን።Even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night and finds them alert, those servants will be blessed.

39ሂካ አዳ. አዴሳ፤ ሄቶ ኤክ ጎራታ ኤሜይናቶ ኦዶምነ አዴስ ግረዋ፥ ምንኬሳ ኦሻማ ግራን ጫልኢ አም ላኮድያረ።But understand this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.

40እስና ኤካሳየንደን ኦራዬን፤ ኤረ ካእባዶ እስን ካኮሻዶንግታን ጎራታ ኤመይናራ።”You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.”

41ጴጢሮሳና፥ “ጎታ! ሂካ ማሱሳ ካኮንአዬሳታ ኖ ኦላሉንያ ሙ ዱባዉና አዴዴያ?” አመ።“Lord,” said Peter, “are You addressing this parable to us, or to everyone else as well?”

42ጎታኬሳና ሃ አመ ኡሱን አባበ፥ “ጎርታ ባቦክሶ እሶን ካኮዶትሳሮ ጎራታ ጎጎስስሮ ጎታ ካምነ እባዶ ጉት ካሹመራ ካአብዳመና ቃሮክ ሀዳራ ካአባ አዮያ?And the Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their portion at the proper time?

43ጎታ ማንኮሴተሮኮ አባባይ ካኮኤሜሮ ጎራታ ጎጎአጃጃመሮክ ማለ ፈላ ካሙተ ኡሱ ምስክ ካሶማሳመያ!Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

44አን ሩምና አማራ፥ ጎታኬሳ ሀሱ ካሀንዳሮ ኦግራን ኡራዎ ዱባ ጉት ኡሱ ሹምናራ።Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

45አየሱን ጎአመን ኣንክ ካዳንዳራ፥ ‘ጎታክ ሳሜ. ላኮኤሜይናሮ፥ አዳላይናራ’ አም ጎሄደና ባባርና ሄለልና ኦሀንዳራን ጎቦጨ አደና ጎጎጌላቴ ኣማኖ ጣማኖና ሰታኖ ጎሀጋአበ፥But suppose that servant says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and he begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk.

46ሀሱ ካሀንዳሮኮክ ጎታ ታኮሻዳሞን አርና ታኮሄዳኖን ጎራታ ደራኣ ኤመይናራ። ኣሎ ኡሱ ሙርስናራ፥ ህጣቴሳና ዋ ካአማኖን እባዶነ ዎታ የልናራ።The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

47“ታጎታ ፈኢ አዴሳ ግራን ካኤካሳኖና ፈኢቴሳና ካፈሎን ሀሱ ካሃንዳራ ኡሱ ጎሜላን ሙርሳምናራ፥That servant who knows his master’s will but does not get ready or follow his instructions will be beaten with many blows.

48አየሱን ጎአመን ሂካ ካአዴሶና ካሙርስሳሮ ግታክ ካላል ጎየለ ካሃንዳራ ኡሱ አባራንቲ ሙርሳምናራ። ካሞጋን ካስሳመሮኮ ካሞጋን ዶታማራ፥ ታንጂን ሀዳራ ካአታተሮኮ ታንጂን ኦራማታ።But the one who unknowingly does things worthy of punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.

49“አን ካኮንኤሜየራ ኡሊ ጉት ኤለን አብስሲንያ፥ ግዳዋ ጎቤበተ ምስ ምሲ ላኮጌላይናረ!I have come to ignite a fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

50አየሱን ጎአመን አን ካጣማቃምናሮ ካካለ ጥንቃታ ካራኮ አባ፥ ታጉዳሮ ጌግን ምሲ ላኮያደረ?But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

51ኡሊ ጉት ኖጎዳ ኬኒን ካኤመየሮ ኣን ላራ? ላኮዮ። አን ካኮንኤሜየራ ካለካለ ቤስንያ።Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division.

52ግዳኮ ሀጋአበረ ምን ኮ ኦሮ እስ እስኦሮ ካለካለክ እባዶ ግርናራ፥ ላማ ሴድ ጉት ሴንዳ ላማ ጉት ኪጉሬን ካለካለ ብናራን።From now on, five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three.

53ኦዶና ኤረ ባባርትት ጉት ኤረ ባባርትትና ኦዶኬሳ ጉት ኣና ኤረ ዴለልትቲ ጉት፥ ኤረ ዴለልትትና ኣየትሰ ጉት፥ ሶዶ ኦርኤረትሴ ጉት ኦርኤረና ሶዶትሴ ጉት ኪጉሬን ካለካለ ብናናን።”They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

54አደና ጎሳነ የሱሳ ሃ አመ፥ “ዱማንቻ ምና ታኢያንኮ ብያ ጎዴታን ጎርሰዋ፥ ‘እዳሞ ኡባይናራ አማታን፥’ ኡሱማለና ላራ።Then Jesus said to the crowds, “As soon as you see a cloud rising in the west, you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and that is what happens.

55ሎጎዶ ጎኬሮ፥ ‘ኡል ፉርሳራ አማታን፥’ ኡሱማለና ላራ።And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It will be hot,’ and it is.

56እስን ኢፍሳዶለ፥ ታዳሩረና ታኡሌ ምዲ አዴሳኖ ካሳንዋ፥ ሀያ ሂካ ካግዳኔ ጌስ አዴሳኖ ምሲ ዋተን?You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and sky. Why don’t you know how to interpret the present time?

57እስን መተክስኒ ልክ ካሌሮ ሙን ፍርዳናዋታን?And why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?

58ባራጋራካነታ ዳና ሆረ አልን ጎሴተ ጋና ራድ ግራን ዎጋርን እጻም፥ ጎርቱን ኡሱ ናቴረ ዳና ቶስ ጌስናራ፥ ዳናና ፖልሲን ኩ ስሳራ፥ ፖልስና ምን ካሻኖ ታብስናራ።Make every effort to reconcile with your adversary while you are on your way to the magistrate. Otherwise, he may drag you off to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and the officer may throw you into prison.

59ሙራ ሙር ታጉድሶ ኤሰኮ ላኮብናቶ አመ።”I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the very last penny.”
