1. 1BSWEየሱሳ አሪ ኡጫርኮ አባባተረ ታቅፍረናሆም ካታማ ቶስ ኤመተ፤ ኤሰነዋ ኡሱ ምን ታባኖ ጎሳ ማለ፤BSBBSB: A few days later Jesus went back to Capernaum. And when the people heard that He was home,
2. 2BSWEሃንሱን ምን ላናዋተረ አዉንዳ ታኡኒዕሮ ጌግን እባዶ ካሞጋን ኩኩመ፥ ኡሱና ሃፉራ ካዋ እሶ አጋልስሳ ግረ።BSBBSB: they gathered in such large numbers that there was no more room, not even outside the door, as Jesus spoke the word to them.
3. 3BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ እባዶ አፋሮ ናፋለሳክ እባዶት ስዴንጉሬን ኡሱ ቶስ ከነንBSBBSB: Then a paralytic was brought to Him, carried by four men.
4. 4BSWEጎሳ ሞጋንኮ ካከይ የሱሳ ቶስ ጋባሊን ምንኮ ዋተን ማራን ታምኔ ሄልንቾ የሱሳ ማንኮግሮነ ቡቶ ቤሰንጉሬን ናፋለሳት ታኮሁዱረረ አልጋነ ዎታ ዳግሰን።BSBBSB: Since they were unable to get to Jesus through the crowd, they uncovered the roof above Him, made an opening, and lowered the paralytic on his mat.
5. 5BSWEየሱሳና አማኖክሶ ዴጉረ ናፋለሳትነ “አት ሂክ ኡኑ ጩቦ ካካ ሻጋ ሌራ!” አመ።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
6. 6BSWEኤሴና ሀማጼን ኦግረን ኮኮ ሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳረን ዎዳናትሶይ ሃ አመን ሄደን።BSBBSB: But some of the scribes were sitting there and thinking in their hearts,
7. 7BSWE“ሂክ እባዶት ምሲ ሃ አማራ? ሄዶ ጉት ሃፉራ ካሀባር ካሀባራራ! ዋ ኮ ኳሬ ጩቦ ሻጋ የልን ካዳንዳራ አዮያ?” አመን ቆፔን።BSBBSB: “Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8. 8BSWEየሱሳና ባኔዋ ዎዳናትሶይ ካሄዳራን አያናኬሳይ አዴሰረ፤ “ምሲ ሃ ቆፓታን?BSBBSB: At once Jesus knew in His spirit that they were thinking this way within themselves. “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?” He asked.
9. 9BSWEናፋለሳክ እባዶትነ ‘ጩቦካካ ሻጋ ሌራ’ አማኖኮና፥ ክንጉዴ አልጋታ ስዳዴ ጋል፥ አማኖኮ ኤክያ ኤነክ?BSBBSB: “Which is easier: to say to a paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’?
10. 10BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን ኤረ ካእባዶ ኡል ጉት ጩቦ ሻጋ የልን ኦዶናት ካአቦ ላኖ ጎጎአዴሳዉን” አመረ ናፋለሳትነ፥BSBBSB: But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic,
11. 11BSWE“ክንጉዴ አልጋታ ስዳዴ ምንካ ጋል” አመ።BSBBSB: “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”
12. 12BSWEናፋለሳትና ጎርሰዋ ኬጉረ አልጋ ስዳተረ እባዶ ዱባ ዲያ ግራን ቤ። ሃንሱን እባዶ ሳደረ ሂካማለክ አየስ “ኖ ዱዶ ዴነ ላካንሶ አማ ዋ ጋላተን።”BSBBSB: And immediately the man got up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, they were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
13. 13BSWEየሱሳ ካላም ላቡ ታጋሊላ ቶስ ሴተ፥ ጎሳ ካሞጋን ኡሱ ቶስ ኤመተ፥ ኡሱና እሶ አጋልስሰ።BSBBSB: Once again Jesus went out beside the sea. All the people came to Him, and He taught them there.
14. 14BSWEኤሰነ ሮራ ግራን ካኢልፎሳ ኤረ ዎዩትና ቃራጣ ታኮአታራን ባንኤ ሀማጼ ግራን ዴረ፤ “እን ዴበ ሰሴ” አመ።BSBBSB: As He was walking along, He saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Levi got up and followed Him.
15. 15BSWEካዎዩት ምኒ ባቦ ኣምን ሀማጼ ግራን፥ ኦሞጋን ቃራጣ ኦኩኩይሳሬነና፥ ጩባለሳልነ፥ ኡሱ ዴበ ሰሴታ ማንኮግሬን ማራን፥ የሱሳና ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረነ ዎታ ባቦ ኣማ ግረ።BSBBSB: While Jesus was dining at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Him and His disciples—for there were many who followed Him.
16. 16BSWEታፋራሳው ኡናኮ ኦሌረን ሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳረን የሱሳ ጩባሌሳልነና ቃራጣ ኦኩኩይሳራነ ዎታ ኣማ ግራን ካኮደያረን ጎራታ፤ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራነ፥ “ቃራጣ ኦኩኩይሳራነና ጩባለሳጆልነ ዎታ ሙን ኣማራ?” አማ ሆሳተን።BSBBSB: When the scribes who were Pharisees saw Jesus eating with these people, they asked His disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
17. 17BSWEየሱሳና እሶ ካአዬሰረን ማሌረ አኪም ካኮንዶትሳራ “ካሀዉአማሮን ኳሬ ፋያሌሳን ላኮዮ፤ አን ጩባለሳጆል ኳሬ ቁሎለ ኡምን ላኮኤሜየሮ” አመ።BSBBSB: On hearing this, Jesus told them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
18. 18BSWEያንሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታራና እባዶ ካፋራሳዊ አጋቡዋ ግረን። እባዶ ኮኮ ኤመተጉረ የሱሳነ፤ “ያንሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታራና ፋራሳውልኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን ጎአጎቦይራን ኩኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን አጋቡዋና ካኮንዋታራን መዉንያ?” አመን።BSBBSB: Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were often fasting. So people came to Jesus and asked, “Why don’t Your disciples fast like John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees?”
19. 19BSWEየሱሳና፤ “ካማሻሸ ዎታ ግራንቲ ሳትላል አጋቡይን ዳንዳታ? ካማሻሸ እሶነ ዎታ ግራን አጋቡይን ላኮዳንዳራን አመ።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them? As long as He is with them, they cannot fast.
20. 20BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን ካማሻሸ እሶኮ ካኮአታምራ ጎራታ ኤመታራ፥ ኡሱ ጎራታ አጋቡይናዋ።BSBBSB: But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.
21. 21BSWE“ካዶአን ሳርስ ጉት ታኡሱብት ኤርበ ካካታራ ማዮና ላግሮ፥ ሂክ ጎሌ አድ፤ ታኡሱብት ኤርበ ታዶአን ታታርሻታ፥ ፊላማኖና ኣሎ ባላኣይናራ።BSBBSB: No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, and a worse tear will result.
22. 22BSWEአድ ካኡሱብ ካዎይኒ ጣሞ ካዶአን ድንቢቶ ካክባታራ ላግሮ፥ ሂካማሌ ጎሌ ካዎይኒ ጣሞ ድንቢቶ በረሳራ፥ ጣሞ ካዎይኒና ኡባታራ ድንቢቶና ላኦኮ ሳሪ ብያራ። ሃንሱን ካኡሱብክ ጣሞ ካዎይንዉን ካኡሱብክ ድንቢቶ ዶትሳራ።”BSBBSB: And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.”
23. 23BSWEታፎልሲ አሪ የሱሳ እራ ኦሮማረ ሮራ ግረ፥ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ሻዉዬ ኤብሳታኖ ሀጋአበን።BSBBSB: One Sabbath Jesus was passing through the grainfields, and His disciples began to pick the heads of grain as they walked along.
24. 24BSWEፋራሳዊልና ታፎልሲ አርዉን ፈኢ ካስሳሞን ግቶ አየስ ኩኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን “ሙን ፈላራን?” አማ ሆሳተን።BSBBSB: So the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
25. 25BSWEየሱሳና አባበረ፥ “ዳዉተ ኡሱ ዴበ ኦሰሰታራነ ዎታ ካኮኡኤረና ካኮራካተረ ጎራታ መ የለሮ ላኮናባብቴታንያ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?
26. 26BSWEአብያታር ቱቃሞሉን ዎይቻ ሌ ካኮግረ ጌሲ ዳዉተ ምን ካዋ ታበረ ቱቃሞሉን ኳሬ ኦካለ ኣምን ፈኢ ካኮንስሳሞን ግሮ፥ ካቁሎየ ባቦ ካዋ ኣመ፥ ኡሱ ዎታ ካግረ እባዶና ስሰ።”BSBBSB: During the high priesthood of Abiathar, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which was lawful only for the priests. And he gave some to his companions as well.”
27. 27BSWEአደና የሱሳ፥ “ታፎልሲ አሪ ኤረ ካእባዶቱን መጣንተታ ኳሬ እባዶ አሪ ታፎልሲዉን ላኮመጣመሮ አመ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
28. 28BSWEሃንሱን ኤረ ካእባዶ ታፎልሲ አርዉን ጎታያ።”BSBBSB: Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
