1. 1BSWEኤሰኮ አባባተረ የሱሳ ታፎልሲ አሪ ዉጣ ኦሮ ማረ ሮረ፥ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራና ማንኮኡኤሬን ማራንትኑ ሻዉዬኮ ኤብሳቴን ኣተን ኣማኖ ሀጋአበን።BSBBSB: At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.
2. 2BSWEፋራሳዊልና ሂካ ዴንጉሬን፤ “ሂካ ዴ! ኩኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን ታፎልሲ አሪ ፈላሚን ኦዶትሶን ፈሎ ፈላ ግራን” አመን።BSBBSB: When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
3. 3BSWEየሱሳና፥ “ዳዉተና ኡሱነ ዎታ ካግረ እባዶ ካኮኡኤረ ጎራታ ዳዉተ ካየለሮ ላኮናባብቴታንያ?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
4. 4BSWEምን ካዋ ታበ፥ ቱቃሞሉን ኳሬ ኡሱና ሌረ ዎታ ኦግሬቱን ኣምን ፈኢ ካስሳሞን ግሮ ካሶማሳመ ባቦ ኣመ።BSBBSB: He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
5. 5BSWEአደና ቱቃሞሉን ታፎልሲ አሪ ኢግልሰንጉረን ቁሉክ ምን ካዋ ኦሮ ፈሎ ጎፈሌን ጩቦ ላናዋት ሴራ ካሙሴ ላኮናባብቴታንያ?BSBBSB: Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
6. 6BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን አን ሃ አማራ፤ ቁሉክ ምን ካዋኮ ካሮራራ ህታኒ ግራ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that One greater than the temple is here.
7. 7BSWEአን ‘ጃርሶኮ ሱረ ሻጋ ጌላታራ’ ካአማማሮ ሃፉራ መ አማኖዮ ኦአዴሳታን ሌቴንዋ ቁሉኒዕ ጉት ላኮፍርዳቴን።BSBBSB: If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.
8. 8BSWEኤረ ካእባዶ ታፎልሲ አርዉን ጎታያ።”BSBBSB: For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9. 9BSWEየሱሳ ኤሰ ባንኤኮ ሮረ ሴተጉረ፥ አይሁድኮክ ምን ካኤብ ታበ፥BSBBSB: Moving on from there, Jesus entered their synagogue,
10. 10BSWEኤሴና ገነ ካኮናፋተተ እባዶት ኮ ግረ፤ የሱሳ ሞትን ዶተንጉሬን፥ “አይሁድን ታፎልሲ አሪ እባዶ ፋይስን ፈኢ ስሳንተታ?” አመን ሆሳተን።BSBBSB: and a man with a withered hand was there. In order to accuse Jesus, they asked Him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11. 11BSWEየሱሳና፥ “እስን ኦሮኮ እባዶት ኮኮት ኢዳዶ አይሁድን ታፎልሲ አሪ ጉምቢ ኦሮድ ጎኢተ፥ ኢዳዶ ካኮኢተቶ ጉምቢ ኦሮኮ ናት እስን ላኮቤሳንያ?BSBBSB: He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
12. 12BSWEሀያ፥ እባዶ ኢዳዶኮ ላኮሮራሮያ? ሃንሱን ታፎልሲ አሪ ታኢዳን ፈልን ፈኢ ስሳንተታ” አመ።BSBBSB: How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13. 13BSWEኤሰኮና የሱሳ እባዶትነ፥ “ገነታ ድሪርሳ” አመ፥ እባዶትና ገነቴሳ ድሪርሳተ፥ አንት ገነ ታኢዳንት ኣን ሌተ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored to full use, just like the other.
14. 14BSWEፋራሳዊል ጎአመን ኤሰኮ ቤንጉሬን የሱሳ ምስ ምሲ ላጋድናን ማላኦዬን።BSBBSB: But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
15. 15BSWEየሱሳ ቆፋትሶ አዴሰረ ኤሰኮ ፋክ አመ። ጎሳ ካሞጋና ኡሱ ዴበ ሰሴተ፥ ካሀዉአማረ ዱባ ፋይሰ።BSBBSB: Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all,
16. 16BSWEእስኦቴሳ ማዮና ጎጎሰግኖንኮ አታይሰ እሶን ሰገ፤BSBBSB: warning them not to make Him known.
17. 17BSWEሂክ ካኮንሌራ ካሄገሮ እስያሳይ ሃ አማሜን ኦሴጋመራን ሄገሮ ፈሎ ጎጎሀይራዉንያ።BSBBSB: This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
18. 18BSWE“ሂክማ! አን ካአሳባዬራና አን ካጌላታራ ኡሱያ፥ ኡሱ አን ካጌላታሮና ካኮገገላታሮያ፥ አያናኬ ኡሱ ጉት ካይናራ። ኡሱና ጎሳን ካሩም ፍርዳ አዋጅናራ።BSBBSB: “Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19. 19BSWEኡሱ ላኮዶጋምናሮ ላኮናኦክናሮ፤ ራድና ያየቴሳ ካማላ ላኮግሮ።BSBBSB: He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear His voice in the streets.
20. 20BSWEካሩም ፍርዳ ታአዎዶን ጌግን፤ ካጫንጫናመ ፊቀና ላኮኤብስሮ። ካኢዮታሮ ካሙቃደ ሻሎና ላኮባስሮ።BSBBSB: A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, till He leads justice to victory.
21. 21BSWEአይዛብና መገኬሳይ አብድ የላሮዋ።”BSBBSB: In His name the nations will put their hope.”
22. 22BSWEኤሰኮ አባባተረ ባቲክ አያናይ አባማኖይ ኢልኦ ድያይና ህኢ አዬስን ካዋተሮ እባዶት ኮ የሱሳ ቶስ ኣተን ኤመተን፥ የሱሳና ኡሱ ፋይሰ፥ እባዶትና ዲና አዬስን ዳንዴ።BSBBSB: Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.
23. 23BSWEጎሳ ዱባ ሳደጉረ፥ “ሂክ እባዶት ኤረ ካዳዉተ ሌዉና?” አመ።BSBBSB: The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24. 24BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን ፋራሳዊል ሂካ ካኮማላረ ጎራታ “ሂክ እባዶት ዱርሳ ካኮቤሳራ ካዱርሳ ዎይቻ ካሌሮ ብኤልዘቡልኮክ ሁናያ” አመን።BSBBSB: But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”
25. 25BSWEየሱሳና ቆፋትሶ አዴሰጉረ “እስ ኦሮ ካለካለ ካብያራ ዎኖናት ዱባ ኢናራ። እስ ኦሮ ካለካለ ታቤተ ካታማ ጎርቱን ምን አታይ ግርን ላኮዳንዴሮ አመ።BSBBSB: Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
26. 26BSWEጻላዬና ጻላየ ካቤሳቶ ጎሌተ፤ እስስኦሮ ካለካለ ቤራን አማኖያ፤ ሃ ጎሌ አደ ዎኖናት ምስ ምሲ አታይ አልን ዳንዳራ?BSBBSB: If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
27. 27BSWEአን ዱርሳ ካኮቤሳራ ዱርሳኮክ ዎይቻ ጎሌ፤ እስን ዴበ ኦሰሰታራን አደ መይ ቤስናራን? ሃንሱን ይስክስንዋ እስን ጉት ፍርድናራ።BSBBSB: And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
28. 28BSWEአን ጎአመን ዱርሳ ካኮቤሳራ አያና ካዋይ ጎሌ ጎርታ ዎኖናት ካዋ እስን ቶስ ኤመተራ አማኖያ።BSBBSB: But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29. 29BSWE“ጎርቱን እባዶት ኮ ካአቲ እባዶትኮክ ምን ታብጉረ ኡራዎኦቴሳ ሳሚን ጎዶተ፥ ጣይ ሀሱ ካአቲ እባዶት አንሺኖን ግራን ምሲ ኡሱን ኤካታ? ኡሱ ሺ ጎአባባተ ኡራዎኦቴሳ ሳሚን ዳንዳራ።BSBBSB: Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30. 30BSWE“ኢነ ዎታ ካሌኖን ዱባ እን ካኔባታሮያ፥ ኢነ ዎታ ካኩኩይሳኖን ዱባ ዳርአታራ።BSBBSB: He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
31. 31BSWEሃንሱን አን ሃ አማራ፥ ጩቦ ፈላኖና እባዶ ሀባራኖ ዱባ እባዶን ሀሄሶ አማምናራ፥ አየሱን ጎአመን አያና ቁሉክ ካሀባራሮን አደ ጩቦ ሀሄሶ ላኮአማማሮ።BSBBSB: Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
32. 32BSWEማዮና ኤረ ካእባዶ ጉት አየስ ካሜላን ካአዬሳሮ ዱባን ሀሄሶ አማማራ፥ አያና ቁሉክ ጉት አየስ ካሜላን ካአዬሳሮን አደ ሂካ አላምና ሌረ ካኤሜታሮ አላም ጩቦ ሱረ ሀሄሶ ላኮአማምሮ።BSBBSB: Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.
33. 33BSWE“ጋ ዱባ ኢልቴሳ ማንኮአዴሳማሮ ማራን ኢል ታኢዳን ጎጎሄላታኑን ጋ ካእዳን እስኑን ሀንግረ፤ ጋ ካሜላን እስኑን ጎግረ አደ ኢል ታሜላን ሄላይናታን።BSBBSB: Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.
34. 34BSWEእስን ይስ ካሀበሳ፥ እስን ኦሜላን ጎሌታን ካእዳን አየስ አዬስን ምሲ ዳንዳታን? እባዶ ዎዳናቴሳ ኦሮ ካአማጋመሮ ህኢ አዬሳራ።BSBBSB: You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.
35. 35BSWEካእዳንክ እባዶ ዎዳናቴሳይ ካአማጋመሮ ካእዳን አዬስኬሳኮ ታኢዳን ቤሳታራ፥ ካሜላንክ እባዶና ዎዳናቴሳይ ካአማጋመሮ ካሜላን አየስኮ ታሜላን ቤሳታራ።BSBBSB: The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.
36. 36BSWEአየሱን ጎአመን አን ሃ አማራ፤ እባዶ ካአዬሳሮ ካማድኖን አየስ ዱባ ማራንትኑ ታፍርዳ አሪ ሆሳምናራ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
37. 37BSWEኣላንቲና አዬስካኮ ካከይ ቁሎይናታ፥ አዬስካኮ ካከይ አት ፍርዳምናታ።”BSBBSB: For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
38. 38BSWEኤሰኮና ሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳራንኮና ፋራሳውልኮ ኮኮ የሱሳነ፥ “ካአጋልስሳቶ! ኖ ኩኮ ባሳክ ማላታ ድን ዶታና” አመን።BSBBSB: Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
39. 39BSWEኡሱ አደ አባበጉረ እሶነ፥ “ታሜላና ታአማኖን አላታን ማላታ ድን ዶታታ፤ አየሱን ጎአመን ካሄገሮ ካዮናሳ ማላታ ኳሬ ካካለ ማላታ ላኮስሳምናሮ።BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40. 40BSWEዮናሳ አሪ ሴንዳ ሄመን ሴድ ካንጂንክ ኩኑኡብኮክ ቦግ ኦሮ ጎጎአዳላተሮይ፥ ኤረ ካእባዶ ኡሱማሌ አሪ ሴንዳ ሄመን ሴድ ኤሬ ኦሮ ቃማላም አዳላይናራ።BSBBSB: For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41. 41BSWEካነኔዌ እባዶ ታሙርት አሪ ህታ አላታነ ዎታ ኪጉሬን ኡሱ ጉት ፍርድናራ፥ ካነኔዌ እባዶ ካዮናሳ ላላባኖ ማለንጉረን ጩቦኮ ኦጉላ ጋሌራን፥ ግዳ ጎአመን ዮናሳኮ ካሮራራ ህታኒ ግራ።BSBBSB: The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.
42. 42BSWEታፍርዳ አሪ ኦር ዎኖ ሳባ ህታ አላታነ ዎታ ኪጉደ ኡሱ ጉት ፍርድናታ፥ ታሶሎሞን ቃሩማ ማልን ኡልኮት ጋቾኮ ኤሜተታ፥ ግዳ ጎአመን ሶሎሞንኮ ካሮራራ ህታኒ ግራ” አመ።BSBBSB: The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
43. 43BSWE“ባቲክ አያና እባዶትኮ ካኮብያረ ጎራታ ታኮፎልሳሮ ካላይ ታአንጋይደ ባንኤ በከ ዶታታ ካፋፋረ፥ ታዶታታረ ፎልሲ አደ ላኮሄላተ።BSBBSB: When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
44. 44BSWEኤሰኮና ‘ካኮግረ ምን ቶስ አባባይ ሴዉ’ አማራ፥ አባባይ ካኮሴሮ ጎራታ ምን ሀላል ሌ፥ ሻካራመ ካሙጭመሮና ካኤካተሮ ሄላይናራ።BSBBSB: Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.
45. 45BSWEኤሰኮ ሴተጉረ ኡሱኮ ካሮረ ካካለ ቶዶባ ባቲክ አያናጆል ካሜላን አታይረ ኤመይናራ። እሶና እባዶት ኦሮ ታብጉሬን ግርናራን። ሀሱ እባዶትዉና ግር ካሆሬኮ ግር ካሃረ ካሜላን ልናራ። ህታ ታሜላን አላታን ጉት ሂካማሌ ልናራ።”BSBBSB: Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”
46. 46BSWEየሱሳ ጎሳን አዬሳ ግራን፤ ኣየቴሳና አቢላልቴሳ ኡሱነ ኤሰልን ዶተንጉሬን ሳሬ አሌን ግረን።BSBBSB: While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
47. 47BSWEእባዶት ኮ የሱሳነ፥ “ኣየታና አብላልታ ኩኔ ዎታ አዬስን ዶተንጉሬን ሳሬ አሌናን” አመ።BSBBSB: Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”
48. 48BSWEየሱሳና፥ “ኣየት አዮታ? አቢላልትና አዮስያን?” አመ አባበ።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
49. 49BSWEገነተሳና ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን ቶስ ቱሳ “ኣየትና አቢላልት ህናኣያን፤BSBBSB: Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.
50. 50BSWEዳሩሪ ካግሮ ኣቦኬኮት ፈኢ ካፈላራ ዱባ፥ አቢላልቴ አባላልቴና ኣጮላልቴኔያን።”BSBBSB: For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
