1. 1BSWEኤሰኮና ኢየሩሳለምኮ ኦኤሜተራን ፋራሳዊልና ሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳራን የሱሳ ቶስ ጋባላመንጉረን፥BSBBSB: Then some Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2. 2BSWE“ኩኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን ዎጋ ካኦዶላል ካኮኢግልሳራን መዉንያ? ባቦ ኣምን ገነትሶ ላኮኣላራን” አመ።BSBBSB: “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They do not wash their hands before they eat.”
3. 3BSWEየሱሳና ሃ አመ አባበ፤ “እስና ዎጋክስኑን አንቴንጉደን አጃጃ ካዋ ሙን ኢግልሳታን?BSBBSB: Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4. 4BSWEዋ፥ ‘ኣቦካና ኣየታ ካባጂ፥’ ‘ማዮና ኣቦኬሳ ጎርቱን ኣየቴሳ ጉት ካሜላን ሃፉራ ካኤንጌ ካአዬሳራ ሀጎየ አም አጃጃ ጎስስሮ፥’BSBBSB: For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’
5. 5BSWEእስን ጎአመን ኣቦኬሳ ጎርቱን ኣየቴሳ፥ ‘አን እስኑን ስስን ካዶትሳሮ ጋርጋርሳ ዋዉን ጃርሶ የለ አን ስሰራ’ ጎአመ፥BSBBSB: But you say that if anyone says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever you would have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’
6. 6BSWEሀሱ እባዶት ‘ኣቦኬሳ ጎርቱን ኣየቴሳ ካባጅን ላኮዶትሳሮ’ አማታን፤ ሃንሱን ዎጋክስኑን አንቴንጉደን ሃፉራ ካዋ ኢግልሳታን።BSBBSB: he need not honor his father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
7. 7BSWEእስን ኢፍሳዶለ እስያሳ እስን ማራን ሄገሮ ካአዬሰራ ሩምያ።BSBBSB: You hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you:
8. 8BSWE“ ‘ሂክ ጎሳ እን ህኢ ካባጃራ፤ ዎዳናትሶ ጎአመን እንኮ ፋክ ታአንተታ፤BSBBSB: ‘These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
9. 9BSWEእሶ እን አዳ. ሄዶይሳታራን፤ አጋልስስክሶና ዎጋ ካእባዶ ማሌያ።’ ”BSBBSB: They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”
10. 10BSWEየሱሳ ጎሳ እስ ቶስ ኡመጉረ ሃ አመ፥ “ማላ! ሻዳ!BSBBSB: Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, “Listen and understand.
11. 11BSWEእባዶ ካባቶይሳራ ህኢኮ ካበያሮ ኳሬ ህኢ ኦሮዴ ካታባሮ ላኮዮ!”BSBBSB: A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.”
12. 12BSWEኤሰኮና ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ኡሱ ቶስ ጋባላመንጉረን “ፋራሳዊል አት ካአንተቶ ማለንጉሬን ጎጎአማራቴራን ዴተ?” አመን።BSBBSB: Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Are You aware that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
13. 13BSWEየሱሳ ጎአመን፥ “ካዳሩረ ኣቦክ ካአባሮን አላት ዱባ ታጋምናራ።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots.
14. 14BSWEእሳጋ፥ ኢልኦ ኦድያኖን ኦቃጄልሳራን እሶ ኡሱን ኢልኦ ኦደያኖንያን። እልኦ ካድያኖን ኢልኦ ካድያኖን ጎገጌስሮ እሶ ላማ ራቶ እስ አባተን ላጋ ኦሮዴን ኢያራን።”BSBBSB: Disregard them! They are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
15. 15BSWEጴጢሮሳና የሱሳነ፥ “ማሱሳኮት ፉሬን ኖን አዴስስ” አመ።BSBBSB: Peter said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
16. 16BSWEየሱሳና ሃ አመ፥ “እስን ግዳግን ላኮሻዴታን አማኖያ?”BSBBSB: “Do you still not understand?” Jesus asked.
17. 17BSWE“ህኢነ ካታባራ ዱባና ቦግ ኦሮዴ ታበጉረ ኤሰኮና ሳርዴ ካበያሮ ላኮካሳንያ?BSBBSB: “Do you not yet realize that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then is eliminated?
18. 18BSWEህኢኮ ካበያራ ጎአመን ዎዳናኮ ካበያሮያ፥ እባዶና ‘ካባቶይሳራ’ ኡሱያ።BSBBSB: But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a man.
19. 19BSWEታሜላን ቆፋ፥ ኔፎ ላጋዳኖ፥ ላይማኖ፥ ሻርሙጣኖ፥ ሄታኖ፥ ጣራ አቶታኖና መገ ባሳኖ ሂክ ዱባ ዎዳናኮ ክያራ።BSBBSB: For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.
20. 20BSWEእባዶ ‘ካባቶይሳራ’ ሂካያ ኳሬ ገነኖ ሀኣሎን ባቦ ኣማኖ እባዶ ላኮ ባቶይሳሮ።”BSBBSB: These are what defile a man, but eating with unwashed hands does not defile him.”
21. 21BSWEየሱሳና ኤሰኮ ቤጉረ ጢሮስ ቶንሳ ስዶና ካአማማሮ ካካታማ ጎቦብ ቶስ ሴተ።BSBBSB: Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon.
22. 22BSWEካካናአን ኡልኮት ሄለልትቲ ቶ ኡሱ ማማንኮ ቤተጉደ የሱሳ ቶስ ኤመተዴ “ጎታ! ኤረ ካዳዉተ ኢን ነኔኤይሳና፥ ኤረት ባቲክ አያናይ አባንተጉደ ኣሎ አቦሳታ አንተ ኦኪተ።”BSBBSB: And a Canaanite woman from that region came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.”
23. 23BSWEየሱሳ ጎአመን ሃፉራ ኮና ላኮአባበ፥ ሀሱ ጎራታ የሱሳኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ኡሱ ቶስ ኤመተንጉረን “ህት ሄለልትቲ ኖ ዴበ ሰሴታ ኢያታ ኤሰ ጋልሰዋኢስ?” አመን ሆሳተን።BSBBSB: But Jesus did not answer a word. So His disciples came and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
24. 24BSWEየሱሳና አባበረ፥ “አን ካኮንፋራመራ ምን ካእስራኤልኮ ካባየሮ እዳድጆል ካላሉንያ” አመ።BSBBSB: He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25. 25BSWEሄለልትቲና ሉክቴሳ ጉት ኢተጉደ “ጎታ ኢን ጋርጋርና!” አንተ።BSBBSB: The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said.
26. 26BSWEየሱሳና አባበረ፥ “ባቦ ካይስ ኣትጉረን ከሮሩን ሻፋኖ ላኮ ዶትሳሮ” አመ።BSBBSB: But Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
27. 27BSWEኤሰና፥ “እ ጎታ!” “ከሮርና ኦዶኬሳት ዱጉድኮ ታኢተቶ ኦሮንት አማራ” አንተ።BSBBSB: “Yes, Lord,” she said, “even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
28. 28BSWEሀሱ ጎራታ የሱሳ፥ “አት ሄለልትቲ አማኖካ ካአቲያ! ሀልቻካክ ማለ ኩን ሀሌዎ” አመ። ኡኑትና ሀሱ ጎራታኮ ሀጋአብተደ ፋይተ።BSBBSB: “O woman,” Jesus answered, “your faith is great! Let it be done for you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
29. 29BSWEየሱሳ ኤሰኮ ኬጉረ ታጋሊላ ላቡ ግሪ ታግቶ ባንኤ ሴተጉረ ዎዳም ቶስ ቤ ኤሰ ሀማጼ።BSBBSB: Moving on from there, Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee. Then He went up on a mountain and sat down.
30. 30BSWEቶቶይ ካሞጋን ካሌ ጎሳና ካኤሳረ፥ ኢልኦ ካድያኖን፥ ናፋለሳል፥ ህኢ ኦአዬሶን፥ ኡሱማለና ካካለክ ካሞጋን ꬉኩባሌሳል አበን ኡሱ ቶስ ኬነንጉረን ሉቃኦቴሳ ሄገሊ ሀማጽሴን፤ ኡሱና ፋይሰ።BSBBSB: Large crowds came to Him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and laid them at His feet, and He healed them.
31. 31BSWEጎሳና ህኢ ካአዬሶና አዬሳኖ፥ ናፋለሳልና ኢዳኖ፥ ካኤሳረና ቱኩል ኣል ሰሴታኖ፥ ኢልኦ ካድያኖና ድያኖ፥ ካኮደያረን ጎራታ፥ ካእስራኤል ሄዶ ጋላተን።BSBBSB: The crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
32. 32BSWEየሱሳ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታራን ኡመጉረ “ጎሳ ኢነ ዎታ አሪ ሴድ ማንኮሀየሮ ማራን ካአምራን ማንኮዋተናን ማራን አን እሶን ነኔኤይሳታራ፥ ራድ ኡኢጉሬን ኡል ጎጎኢኖንኮ ኡኢነ ጋፋርን አን ፈኢ ላኮስስናሮ” አመ።BSBBSB: Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may faint along the way.”
33. 33BSWEኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረና “ሂካ ኮና ካላይክ ቃሉላቶክ ኡል፥ ሂካ ጎሳ ዱባን ካሌሮ ባቦ አምስን ኖ ሀየኮ ሄልናና?” አመን።BSBBSB: The disciples replied, “Where in this desolate place could we find enough bread to feed such a large crowd?”
34. 34BSWEየሱሳና፥ “ጎሌና እስን ባቦ ብጠ ምያ አብታን?” አመ ሆሳተ። እሶና፤ ባቦ ብጠ ትትጫር “ቶዶባና” “ኩኑኡብጃ ኦትትጫር አብና” አመን።BSBBSB: “How many loaves do you have?” Jesus asked. “Seven,” they replied, “and a few small fish.”
35. 35BSWEኡሱና ጎሳ ኡል ጎጎሀማጽሮን ፈኢ ስሰ፤BSBBSB: And He instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground.
36. 36BSWEባቦ ብጠ ቶዶባና ኩኑኡብጃ አበጉረ ዋ ሶማሳተ አባባተጉረ ባቦ ኤኤብሰ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታሬኑን ስሰ፥ እሶና ጎሳን ሄደደን።BSBBSB: Taking the seven loaves and the fish, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
37. 37BSWEዱባና አመን ባራረን፥ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረና ታሄሰቶ ሀንባ ዱጉድ ቶዶባ ምግ ኬሴን።BSBBSB: They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
38. 38BSWEካኣመረ እባዶና ሄለልና ይንሳ አንቶታሞኒ ኩማ አፋር ባባርየ።BSBBSB: A total of four thousand men were fed, besides women and children.
39. 39BSWEየሱሳ ጎሳ ጋልሰ አባባተረ ዎላቦይ ታበረ ካመገዶል ኡል ቶስ ሴተ።BSBBSB: After Jesus had dismissed the crowds, He got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.
