1. 1BSWEየሱሳ ጎሳ ካኮድያረ ጎራታ ዎዳም ቶስ ቤጉረ ሀማጼ፤ ኡሱኮ ኦአጋልሳታረን ኡሱ ቶስ ኤመተን።BSBBSB: When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him,
2. 2BSWEሃ አማ አጋልስሳኖ ሀጋአበ።BSBBSB: and He began to teach them, saying:
3. 3BSWE“አያናክሶይ ዋ ኦዶታታራን ኦሶማሳመንያን፤ ዎኖናት ካዳሩረ ካክሶያ።BSBBSB: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4. 4BSWEኦጋዳራን ኦሶማሳመንያን፤ ዋኮ ጎጎኢና ሄላይናራን።BSBBSB: Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5. 5BSWEፋያንካኒዕ ኦሶማሳመንያን፤ ኡልና ኤልናራን።BSBBSB: Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6. 6BSWEቁሉማ ኦኡኣራና ኦሱጉባታራን ኦሶማሳመንያን ባራራንዋ።BSBBSB: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7. 7BSWEሻጋ ኦየላራን ኦሶማሳመንያን፤ ዋኮ ሻጋ ሄላይናራን።BSBBSB: Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8. 8BSWEዎዳና ቁሉ ኦኮንሌተታ ኦሶማሳመንያን፤ ዋ ድናራን።BSBBSB: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9. 9BSWEኦዎጋርሳራን ኦሶማሳመንያን ይስ ካዋ አማም ኡማምናራን።BSBBSB: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
10. 10BSWEቁሉማ ማራን አመረነ ኦሆሮራማራን ኦሶማሳመንያን፤ ዎኖናት ካዳሩረ ካክሶያ።BSBBSB: Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11. 11BSWE“እባዶ ኣላንቲቴይ እስን ጎሀባረ ጎሆሮረና፤ ሜላነ ዱባ እስን ጉት ጎአዬሰ ኦሶማሳንቴታን።BSBBSB: Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
12. 12BSWEዳሩሪ እስን ታአታይናታን ሙራ ታአቲ ማንኮሌተ ማራን ገጌላየን፤ ገጌሎ ቱሳ። እስንኮ ሆረነ ኦግረን ኦሄገሮል ሂካማሌ ሆሮረራን።”BSBBSB: Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.
13. 13BSWE“እስን ታኡሌ ኤሰቦታን። ኤሰቦ ታኤሰቦ ኦኖሞንጀ ጎዋተ አባባይ ኦኖሞንጀ የላዪን ዳንዳታ? ሳር ሻፋምደ ሉክ ታእባዶይ ዳዳራምን ኳሬ ላኦ ላኮአብቶ።BSBBSB: You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
14. 14BSWE“እስን ካአላም ኢፋታን። ዎዳም ጉት ታግታ ካታማ ስያምን ላኮዳንዴቶ።BSBBSB: You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
15. 15BSWEዳብ ሀንቃይሳተረ ዳቾ ሄገሊ ጎልሳተ ካካታራ እባዶ ላኮግሮ። ምን ኦሮ ካግሮ ዱባን ጎጎሀንቃይሮ ቦላንሶ ጉት ካይን ኳሬ።BSBBSB: Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16. 16BSWEሂካማሌና እባዶ ኦኢዳን ፈሎኦትስን ዲጉረ ዳሩሪ ካግሮ ኣቦክስን ጎጎካባጅሮን ኢፋክስን እባዶ ሆረ ሀሃንቃዎ።”BSBBSB: In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
17. 17BSWE“አን ሴራ ካሙሴና ካሄገሮ ኢግልስን ካኤመየሮ አን እስኑን አሮሌኖ፤ ፈሎ ሀይስን ኳሬ ኢግልስን ላኮኤሜየሮ።BSBBSB: Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
18. 18BSWEአን ሩምና እስኑን አማራ፥ ኡልና ዳሩርና ታ ሮራኒ ሴራ ዱባ ፈሎ ሀይናራ ኳሬ ሴራኮ ፍዳለ ቶ ጎርቱን ኤጋኖ ኮ ዱዶ ላኮኢግልሳምሮ።BSBBSB: For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
19. 19BSWEሃንሱን ማዮና ሂካ አጃጃ ዱባኮ ክጫርክ ጎባሰ ካካለና ጎጎባስሮ ጎአጋልስሰ ዎኖናት ካዳሩረይ ዱባንኮ ክጫርክ አማም ኡማምናራ። አየሱን ጎአመን ሂካ አጃጃል ፈሎ ሀይሳ ኦካለና ፈሎይ ጎጎሀይስናዉን ካአጋልስሳራ ሀሱ ዎኖናት ካዳሩሬት ካንጂንክ አማምናራ።BSBBSB: So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20. 20BSWEቁሉማትስን ታፋራሳውልኮና ሴራ ካሙሴ ኦአጋልስሳራንኮት ቁሉማኮ ሮር ጎሙቶን ዎኖናት ካዳሩረ ቶስ ኢጂ ታብን ላኮዳንዳታን አን አማራ።”BSBBSB: For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
21. 21BSWE“ካሆሬ እባዶነ ‘እባዶ አሮላጋዴን ካአማመሮ እስን ማልቴታን፤ እባዶ ካላጋዳራ ፍርዳምናራ ካአማመሮ ማልቴታን።’BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder’ and ‘Anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’
22. 22BSWEአን ጎአመን ሃ አማራ፤ አቢኬሳ ራካሊ ካኢንጋማራ ዱባ ፍርዳምናራ፤ ጎርቱን አቢኬሳ ‘ካማድኖን’ ካአማራ ታአይሁድ ሾንጎይ ሆሳምናራ፤ ‘ታቶዋ’ ካአማራ አደ ታጋነም ኤሌንኮክ ፍርዳ ኡሱ ኦራታራ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to the fire of hell.
23. 23BSWE“ሃንሱን ጃርሶካ ባንኤ ታፋላ ጉት ካይተደ ዋዉን ካኮስሳቶ ጎራታ አቢካ ኩ ካኮቁቃመራ አየስ ኩን ቃል ጎአመ፥BSBBSB: So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24. 24BSWEጃርሶካ ኤሰ ባንኤ ታፋላ ሆረ ኢሳግጉደ ሆራርጀ ሴጉዴ አቢካነ ዎታ ዎጋር፤ ኤሰኮ አባባደ ጃርሶካ ዋዉን ስስ።BSBBSB: leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25. 25BSWE“ኩ ካሞታራ ባራጋራካ ኩ ጎጎፍርድሶንኮ፥ ዳናና ካሻሮን ሮርስ ኩ ጎጎስሶንኮና ምን ካሻኖ ጎጎታብሶንኮ ራድ ግራን ሳም ባራጋራካነ ዎታ ዎጋር።BSBBSB: Reconcile quickly with your adversary, while you are still on the way to court. Otherwise, he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
26. 26BSWEአን ኩን ሩምና አማራ፥ ኡሱ ኩ ጎፍርድሰ አድ ማራጋደ ዱባ አት ሙር ታጉድሶ ኤሰኮና ላኮብናቶ።”BSBBSB: Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
27. 27BSWE“አሮሻርሙጢቴን ካአማመሮ ማልቴታን።BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’
28. 28BSWEአን ጎአመን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፤ ሄለል ታሀልቻ እሊ ካድያራ ዱባ ዎዳናቴሳይ ኤሰነ ዎታ ሻርሙጠራ አማኖያ።BSBBSB: But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29. 29BSWEታመርገ እልታታ ጩቦን ኣላንቲ ጎሌተ ጎርሰዋ ቤስ ሻፍ፥ ማርካ ዱባ ታጋነም ኤለን ቶስ ሻፋማናኮ ማርካኮ ባንኤ ቶ ዋታኖያ ሆረክ።BSBBSB: If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30. 30BSWEገነ ታመርገታታ ጩቦን ኣላንቲ ጎሌተ ጎስጉደ ሻፍ! ማርካ ዱባ ጋነም ቶስ ሻፋማናኮ፤ ማርካኮ ባንኤ ቶ ዋታኖ ሆረክ።”BSBBSB: And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to depart into hell.
31. 31BSWE“ ‘ኦርቴሳ ከልክ አመ ካቤሳራ ዱባ ከልክ ካኮአመሮ ዎራቃታ ኤሰን ስሳኖ ዶትሳራ አማመራ።’BSBBSB: It has also been said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’
32. 32BSWEአን ጎአመን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፤ ኤሰ ካካለኔ ዎታ ሻርሙጣ ግራን ጉት ጎአበ ኳሬ፤ ኦርቴሳ ከልክ አመ ካቤሳራ ዱባ ኤሰ ካካለኔ ዎታ ጎጎሻርሙጢቶ ካየላሮያ። ሂካ ጋራይ ከልክ አማንተ ታቤተቶ ሄለልትቲ ካአታታራና ካሻርሙጣሮ ኣን ቶታማራ።”BSBBSB: But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, brings adultery upon her. And he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
33. 33BSWEካሆሬ እባዶን፥ “ጣራ አሮአማቴን፤ አየሱን ጎአመን ዋይ ሆረ ካአማተቶ ኦራ” ካአማመሮ ማልቴታን።BSBBSB: Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’
34. 34BSWEአን ጎአመን እስኔ፤ “ሱረ አሮአማቴን” አማራ። ዳሩሪ ጎሌና አሮአማቴን፥ ኮርፍንጀ ካዋታ።BSBBSB: But I tell you not to swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne;
35. 35BSWEኡሊ ጎሌና አሮአማቴን፤ ሉክ ታዋ ታኮፎልሳቶያ፤ ኢየሩሳለምና አሮአማቴን ታንጂንት ታዎኖ ካታማታ።BSBBSB: or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
36. 36BSWEእስኦታይ ጎሌና አሮአማተ፤ መተካክ ፊጣ ኮ ጉማራ ጎርቱን ጋምባላ የልን ላኮዳንዳቶ።BSBBSB: Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
37. 37BSWEሃንሱን አዬሳ ግራን አዬስክስን ጎኢማና “እ” አደ ጎላአማና “ላ” ሀሌዎ። ሂካኮ ካካለ ዱባ ካሜላንኮ ካኤሜታሮያ።BSBBSB: Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.
38. 38BSWE“እል ማራን ኢል፥ ኢልኮ ማራን ኢልኮ፥” ካአማመሮ እስን ማልቴታን።BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
39. 39BSWEአን ጎአመን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፤ ታሜላን ካፈላሮ እባዶት አሮኔባቴን፤ አየሱን ጎአመን ሀንጎሮጫካ ካመርጌ ካባሳሮን ካካለ ሀንጎሮጫ ካበተ አድ ቱሳ።BSBBSB: But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
40. 40BSWEእባዶት ኮ ቆሎካ አታይን ኩ ጎሞቴ ሳርስ ካባነ አድጉደ ኡሱን ስስ።BSBBSB: if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well;
41. 41BSWEእባዶት ኮ ኩኔ ባንኤ ቶ ሴና አም ኩ ጉት ጎሁኖመ ኡሱ ራኮክ አምባ ኡሱነ ዎታ ሴ።BSBBSB: and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
42. 42BSWEኩኮ ካኤባታሮን ስስ፤ አምአይን ካዶታታሮኮና አሮትራተ።BSBBSB: Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
43. 43BSWE“ኦላታ ጌላ ዲናካ ዲድ ካአማመሮ ማልቴታን።”BSBBSB: You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’
44. 44BSWEአን ጎአመን ዲናጆልክስና ጌላየን፥ እስን ኦሆሮራራዉና ኤባየን አማራ።BSBBSB: But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45. 45BSWEሂካ ማለ ማንኮ የላታን ማራንትኑን ዳሩሪ ካግሮ ኣቦክስኑን ይሳስ ልናታን። ኡሱ ካኢዳኑና ካሜላኑን ዱባን አርት ቤሳራ፤ ኢዳሞና ጩባለሳሉና ቁሎሌዉን ኡብስሳራ።BSBBSB: that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46. 46BSWEካጌላታሮ ካላል ኦጌላታታን ጎሌተን መ ሙራ ሄላይናታን? ቃራጣ ኦኩኩይሳራና ላ ኡሱማሌ የላ ግራና?BSBBSB: If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Do not even tax collectors do the same?
47. 47BSWEአቢላልትስን ታላልነ ኖጎዳ ኦአታታን ጎሌተን ኦካለኮ መይ ኢዳታን? አይዛብልና ላ ሂካ የላ ግራና?BSBBSB: And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even Gentiles do the same?
48. 48BSWEሃንሱን ካዳሩረ ኣቦክስን ቁሉክ ጎጎሌሮይ እስና ቁሉኒዕ ላ።BSBBSB: Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
