Matthew 6 (BSWE)

1“እባዶ እስን ጎጎዴሮ አምዴን ‘ኦኢዳን ፈሎ ኦትስን’ እባዶ ሆረ ፈላታናኮ እስ ኦትስን ኦራዬን፤ ኡሱማሌ ጎፈልተን ካዳሩረ ኣቦክስንኮ ሙራ ላኮሄላታን።“Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2“ኢፍሳዶሌል እባዶ ሆረ ካባጃሚን አመንጉረን ራዲና ባንኤ ታኤቢ ጎጎስሳናንክ ማለ አት ህየሳን ኮኮ ካኮስሶ ጎራታ ሀሙቶ አምደ አሮአዋጅተ፤ አን ሩምና አማራ፤ ሂካማሌ ኦላራን ሙራትሶ ዱባ አታቴራን።So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.

3እስን ጎአመን ህየሳን ስሳግራን ገነ ታመርገትስን ካስሳቶ ገነ ታበተ አሮአዴሶ።But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

4ህየሳን ስሳግራን ጎላታ ሀሌዎ፤ ጎላታ ካፈላመሮ ካድያራ ኣቦክስን ሙራትስና ሙሮዋ።”so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

5“ኤባታ ግራን ኢፍሳዶለ ኣን አሮሌተን፤ እሶ እባዶን ሙትን አመንጉረን ባንኤ ታኤቢና ራድ ቃርቃራይ ኣል ኤባታኖ ጌላታናን። አን ሩምና አማራ፤ ሙራትሶ ዱባና አታቴራን።And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.

6አት ጎአመን ኤባይን ጎአንተ፤ ክፍሊ ቶስ ታብ፥ ኡፋና ጩፋጉደ ጎላታ ካግሮ ኣቦካ ቶስ ኤባ፥ ጎላታ ካፈላመሮ ካድያራ ኣቦካ ሙራታ ጋቾሙራ።But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

7እስን ኤባታ ግራን ካማድኖን ሃፉራይ አባብ አባብ ኤባታኖይ ኤብ ካማልሳማሮ ኣን ካላሮ አይዛብ ኣን አየስ ጂናሳታ አሮኤራሳተን።And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard.

8እሶ ኣን አሮሌተን፥ ኣቦክስን እስን ሀኤባኖን ግራን ሆረነዋ እስኑን መ ዶትሳሮ ካሶዋ።Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

9“እስን ጎአመን ሃ አማ ኤባየን፤ “ዳሩሪ ካግታ ኣቦካን! ቁሉክ መገካ ሀካባጃመ፤So then, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.

10ዎኖናትካ ሀኤመቶ፤ ፈኢታ ዳሩሪ ጎጎሌተቶይ ኡሱማሌ ኡሊና ሀሌቶ፤Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

11ካህታርቴ ባቦካን ህታር ኖን ስስ።Give us this day our daily bread.

12ኖና ኖ ካሚረኤሮ ሀሄሶ ጎጎአማኖ፤ ባስካን ሀሄሶ አምና፤And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13ካሜላንኮ ሃስ ኳሬ፤ ጫፍት ኦሮ ኖ አሮታብሰ፤ ዎኖናት ካካያ፥ ሁናና ካባጃና ጅሩ ጅሮማን ካካያ፤ ሀሚኒዕ።And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’

14እስን ባስ ካእባዶ ሀሄሶ ጎአንቴን ካዳሩረ ኣቦክስን አደ እስኑን ሀሄሶ አምሮዋ።For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

15አየሱን ጎአመን እስን ጩቦ ካእባዶ ሀሄሶ ካአሞን ጎሌተን ኣቦክስና ጩቦክስን ሀሄሶ ላኮአምሮ።”But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive yours.

16“ኤብ ካአጋቡይ ኢፍሳዶለ እባዶ ኣን አሮህንግግዴን፤ እሶና ኤብ ካአጋቡይ ጎጎአዴሳምሮዉን አመን ጉሬን በቤድትሶይ ጉት ጋዳኮክ ማላታ ቱሳታራን። አን ሩምና አማራ፥ ሂካማሌ ኦላራን ሙራትሶ ዱባ አታቴራን።When you fast, do not be somber like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward.

17አት ጎአመን ካኮአጋቡይተ ጎራታ፤ በቤድታ ኣል፥ መተካና ሽግዳ።But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,

18ሂካኒና አጋቡዋኖካ ጎላታ ካግሮ ኣቦካ ካላልያ ካካሳ፥ እባዶኮ ጎአመን ካጎላተ ላራ፤ ጎላታ ካፈላመሮ ካድያራ ኣቦካ ሙራታ ኩን ሙሮዋ።”so that your fasting will not be obvious to men, but only to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

19“ቆቃና ካአማሮን፤ ማርጮ ታኡዱዶተ አን ካባሮን፤ ሄቶና ኦሽ ሄትን ካዳንዴቶ፥ ሂካ ኡሊ ጉት እስ ኦትስኑን ዱሩማ አሮኩኩይሳቴን።Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

20አየሱን ጎአመን ቆቃና ካአሞን፥ ማርጮ ታኡዱዶተ አን ካባኖን፥ ሄቶና ኦሽ ሄትን ካዳንዴኖን፥ ኤለ ዳሩሪ እስ ኦትስኑን ዱሩማ ኩኩኢሳዬን።But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

21ዱሩማታ ማንኮግቶ ዎዳናታና ኤሰ ግታ።”For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22“ኢልኦ ማሩን ኢፋያን፤ ሃንሱን ኢልኦ ፋያሌሳ ጎሌን ማርካ ዱባና ኢፋይ ካአማጋመ ላራ።The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.

23እልኦ ኦታ ኦሀዉአራን ጎሌን አደ ማርካ ዱባና ሙጉድ ላራ። ጎርታኑን ኩ ኦሮ ካግራ ኢፋ ሙጉድ ጎሌ፤ ሙጉድ አደ ምስምሲ ጢልንጋክ ሙጉድ ላራ!”But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

24“እባዶት ኮ ጎታ ላማን ሀንዳይን ላኮዳንዳሮ፥ ኮ ዲደጉረ ካካለ ጌላታራ፥ ጎርቱን ኮ ካባጄጉረ ካካለ ቱፋታራ፥ ዋዉና ማራጋዴን ራቶ ሀንዳይን ላኮዳንዳማሮ።No one can serve two masters: Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

25“ሃንሱን አን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፤ ባርሳኖ ኦትስን ማራን መ አምና? መ ጣምና? መ ሳርሳይናና? አማ አሮጫናቃንቴን፤ ኔፎ ባቦኮ፥ ማር አደ ሳርስኮ ላኮሮራሮያ?Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

26አላ ክምብር ዲያ፤ ላኮዉጣታናን፥ ላኮኩኩይሳታራን፥ ጎታራይና ላኮክባታራን፥ አየሱን ጎአመን ካዳሩረ ኣቦክስና እሶ አምሳራ። እስን እሶኮ ኣሎ ላኮሮራታንያ?Look at the birds of the air: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

27ጎሌና እስን ኦሮኮ ጫናቃመጉረ ገስኬሳ ጉት አሪ ቶ አድን ካዳንዳራ ግሮ?Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

28“አደና ሳርስ ማራን ሙን ጫናቃማታን? አላ ታዲዳ ዳራራ ምስ ምሲ ጂናቶ ዲያ፤ ላኮዳፉራናን፥ ጎርቱን ላኮሱቃታራን፤And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin.

29አየሱን ጎአመን አን እስኔ ሃ አማራ፤ ሀሴ ግታት ካባጃ ካአባናየ ዎኖ ሶሎሞን ጎሌና ህታ ዳራራልኮ ቶ ኣን ላኮሳርሳተሮ።Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.

30እስን አማኖ ኦኮንሀንቃተራ ዋ ህታር ሙተጉረ ጌባር ኤለን ኦሮ ካሻፋማሮ ኤስ ካዲዳ ሂካማሌ ጎሳርስስሮ እስን አደ ምሲ ሮርስ ሳርስሳና ዋታራ?If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31ሃንሱን ‘መ ኣምና?’ ‘መ ጣምና?’ ‘መ ሳርሳና?’ አም አሮጫናቃንቴን።Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’

32አይዛብ ሂካ አየስ ዱባ ሄላይን ጫናቃማራ፤ ካዳሩረ ኣቦክስና ሂክ ዱባ እስኑን ካዶትሳሮ ላኖ ካሶዋ።For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

33ካመን ዱባኮ ጣ ዎኖናት ካዋና ቁሉማቴሳ ዶታዬን፤ ካሄሰ ዱባና ጋቾ አዳምራ።But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

34ሃንሱን ጌባርቱን አሮጫናቃንተን፤ ጌባርቱን ጫናቃማኖ ጌባርቱን ሀባሮ፤ አሪ መተመተይ ታትሴ ታሌተ ራኮ አብታ።”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.
