1Hapit na ang Pista sa Pan nga Walay Patubo nga gitawag usab ug Pista sa Paglabay sa Anghel.Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching,

18Sa pagkatinuod, gikan karon dili na ako moinom sa ilimnon nga gikan sa ubas hangtod nga moabot ang paghari sa Dios.”For I tell you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”

23Pagkadungog nila niini nagpangutan-anay sila kon kinsa kaha kanila ang mohimo niini.Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.

24Sa kaulahian naglalis ang mga tinun-an kon kinsa gayod kanila ang pinakalabaw.A dispute also arose among the disciples as to which of them should be considered the greatest.

25Busa miingon si Jesus kanila, “Dinhi niining kalibotan nagmando ang mga hari sa ilang mga sakop. 27Kinsa sa duha ang mas labaw, ang gisilbihan ba sa pagkaon o ang nagsilbi? Dili ba nga mas labaw man ang gisilbihan? Apan ako mao gayod ang nagsilbi kaninyo bisan tuod ug ako inyong agalon.For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.

28“Kamo ang miunong kanako sa mga pagsulay nga akong naagian.You are the ones who have stood by Me in My trials.

29Busa tungod kay gihatagan ako sa akong Amahan ug gahom sa paghari, hatagan ko usab kamo sa samang gahom.And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as My Father has bestowed one on Me,

30Makauban ko kamo sa pagpangaon ug pag-inom didto sa akong lamisa kon maghari na ako. Magdumala ug maghukom kamo sa dose ka tribo sa Israel.so that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

31“Simon, paminawa ako! Nananghid si Satanas nga sulayan niya kamo.Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you like wheat.

32Apan nag-ampo ako alang kanimo aron nga dili mawala ang imong pagtuo. Ug kon mobalik ka na sa imong pagtuo kanako lig-onon mo ang pagtuo sa imong mga igsoon.”But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

33Mitubag si Pedro, “Ginoo, andam gayod ako nga mounong kanimo bisan sa prisohan o sa kamatayon.”“Lord,” said Peter, “I am ready to go with You even to prison and to death.”

34Miingon si Jesus kaniya, “Pedro, sultihan ka nako sa tinuod, sa dili pa motuktugaok ang manok unyang gabii ilimod mo na sa makatulo nga nakaila ka kanako.”But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”

35Unya gipangutana ni Jesus ang iyang mga tinun-an, “Sa dihang gisugo ko kamo kaniadto nga manglakaw sa pagwali, giingnan ko kamo nga dili magdala ug pitaka, o bag, o sandalyas. Unya unsa man, nakulangan ba kamo sa bisan unsa?” Mitubag sila, “Wala gayod.”Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out without purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.

Ug kon wala kamoy espada, ibaligya ang inyong bisti ug pagpalit ug espada.“Now, however,” He told them, “the one with a purse should take it, and likewise a bag; and the one without a sword should sell his cloak and buy one.

37Sa pagkatinuod, kinahanglan nga matuman ang anaa sa Kasulatan mahitungod kanako nga nag-ingon, ‘Giisip siya nga usa sa mga kriminal.’ Ug gani ang anaa sa Kasulatan mahitungod kanako matuman na.”For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment.”

38Miingon ang mga tinun-an, “Ginoo, ania adunay duha ka espada dinhi.” Mitubag si Jesus, “Husto na kana.”So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” “That is enough,” He answered.

39Milakaw si Jesus ug miadto sa Bukid sa mga Olibo sumala sa iyang nabatasan. Miuban kaniya ang iyang mga tinun-an.Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.

40Pag-abot nila didto miingon siya, “Pag-ampo kamo nga dili kamo madaog sa pagsulay.”When He came to the place, He told them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”

41Mipalayo-layo siya kanila, unya miluhod siya ug nag-ampo.And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed,

44Tungod sa tumang kasakit nga iyang gibati, hugot ug kinasing-kasing ang iyang pag-ampo, ug ang iyang singot daw sa dugo nga mitulo sa yuta.]And in His anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.

47Samtang nagsulti pa si Jesus, miabot ang daghang mga tawo. Si Judas nga usa sa dose ka tinun-an ang gauna kanila. Miduol si Judas kang Jesus ug mihalok kaniya.While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. He approached Jesus to kiss Him.

48Miingon si Jesus kaniya, “Judas, budhian mo ba ang Anak sa Tawo pinaagi sa usa ka halok?”But Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”

Ug niining panahona naghari ang kangitngit.”Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on Me. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.”

54Gidakop nila si Jesus ug gidala ngadto sa balay sa pangulong pari. Misunod usab si Pedro, apan didto lang siya sa layo.Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.

55Didto sa tunga sa tugkaran naghaling ug kalayo ang mga tawo ug nanglingkod didto sa duol aron mainit-initan. Si Pedro nagpaduol usab didto kanila ug milingkod.When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.

60Apan mitubag si Pedro, “Dili uy! Wala ako makahibalo sa imong gipanulti.” Samtang nagsulti pa si Pedro, mituktugaok ang manok.“Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.

Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”

64Gitaptapan nila siya ug giingnan, “Tag-ana kon kinsa ang nagdapat kanimo?”They blindfolded Him and kept demanding, “Prophesy! Who hit You?”

65Ug daghan pa gayod ang ilang gipanulti sa pagpakaulaw kaniya.And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.

Gidala nila si Jesus sa ilang korte.At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,

69Apan gikan karon, ang Anak sa Tawo molingkod na sa tuong dapit sa Makagagahom nga Dios.”But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”

70Miingon silang tanan, “Kon mao kana, ikaw diay ang Anak sa Dios.” Mitubag si Jesus, “Kamo na gayod ang nag-ingon.”So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”

71Busa miingon sila, “Unsa pa gayod nga mga pagpamatuod ang atong gikinahanglan? Kita na mismo ang nakadungog sa iyang giingon.”“Why do we need any more testimony?” they declared. “We have heard it for ourselves from His own lips.”
