1. 1KSSمەسیح شایەتمە کە ڕاستی دەڵێم و درۆ ناکەم، ویژدانیشم بە ڕۆحی پیرۆز ئەوە دووپات دەکاتەوە،BSBBSB: I speak the truth in Christ; I am not lying, as confirmed by my conscience in the Holy Spirit.
2. 2KSSکە زۆر دڵتەنگم و ئازارێکی بێ بڕانەوەم لە دڵدایە.BSBBSB: I have deep sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart.
3. 3KSSخۆزگە خۆم نەفرەتم لێ بکرایە و لە مەسیح بێبەش بوومایە، لە پێناوی برایانم، هاونەژادەکانم،BSBBSB: For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my own flesh and blood,
4. 4KSSئیسرائیلییەکان. لەخۆگرتنەوە و شکۆ و پەیمانەکان و وەرگرتنی تەورات و ڕێوڕەسمەکانی پەرستن و بەڵێنەکان هی ئەوانە.BSBBSB: the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory and the covenants; theirs the giving of the law, the temple worship, and the promises.
5. 5KSSباوکانیش هی ئەوانن و مەسیحیش بەگوێرەی جەستە لەوانەوە هاتووە، ئەوەی لە سەرووی هەمووانە، هەتاهەتایە خودایەکی پیرۆزە! ئامین.BSBBSB: Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them proceeds the human descent of Christ, who is God over all, forever worthy of praise! Amen.
6. 6KSSواتای ئەوە نییە کە فەرمایشتی خودا کاریگەری نەماوە، چونکە هەموو ئەوانەی لە نەوەی ئیسرائیلن، گەلی هەڵبژێردراوی خودا نین.BSBBSB: It is not as though God’s word has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.
7. 7KSSهەروەها هەموو ئەوانەی نەوەی ئیبراهیمن، منداڵی ئەو نین، بەڵکو: ﴿لە ڕێگەی ئیسحاقەوە نەوەی تۆ ناودەبردرێت.﴾BSBBSB: Nor because they are Abraham’s descendants are they all his children. On the contrary, “Through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.”
8. 8KSSواتا ئەو منداڵانەی کە بە خواستی مرۆڤانە بوون، منداڵی خودا نین، بەڵکو ئەو منداڵانەی کە بە بەڵێنی خودا بوون، ئەوانە بە نەوەی ئیبراهیم دادەنرێن،BSBBSB: So it is not the children of the flesh who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as offspring.
9. 9KSSچونکە وتەی بەڵێنەکە ئەمەیە: ﴿لە کاتی دیاریکراو دێمەوە و ساراش کوڕێکی بووە.﴾BSBBSB: For this is what the promise stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”
10. 10KSSنەک تەنها ئەمە، بەڵکو ڕڤقەش لە یەکێک سکی کرد کە ئیسحاقی باوکمانە.BSBBSB: Not only that, but Rebecca’s children were conceived by one man, our father Isaac.
11. 11KSSبۆ ئەوەی خواستی خودا لە هەڵبژاردندا بچەسپێت کە بە کردار نییە، بەڵکو بەو بانگهێشتەیە کە خۆی دەیکات، بەر لەوەی لەدایک بن و چاکە و خراپە بکەن،BSBBSB: Yet before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad, in order that God’s plan of election might stand,
12. 12KSSخودا بە دایکیانی فەرموو: ﴿گەورەکە خزمەتی بچووکەکە دەکات.﴾BSBBSB: not by works but by Him who calls, she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”
13. 13KSSوەک نووسراوە: ﴿یاقوبم خۆشویست بەڵام ڕقم لە عیسۆ بووەوە.﴾BSBBSB: So it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
14. 14KSSکەواتە چی بڵێین؟ ئایا خودا دادپەروەر نییە؟ حاشا!BSBBSB: What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Certainly not!
15. 15KSSچونکە بە موسا دەفەرموێ: ﴿میهرەبان دەبم لەگەڵ ئەوەی میهرەبان دەبم و بە بەزەیی دەبم لەگەڵ ئەوەی بەزەییم پێیدا دێتەوە.‏﴾BSBBSB: For He says to Moses: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
16. 16KSSکەواتە، بە ئارەزووی یەکێک و هەوڵدانی یەکێک نییە، بەڵکو لە خوداوەیە کە بەزەیی هەیە.BSBBSB: So then, it does not depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.
17. 17KSSنووسراوە پیرۆزەکە بە فیرعەون دەفەرموێ: ﴿لەبەر ئەوە تۆم هێشتووەتەوە بۆ ئەوەی توانای خۆم لە تۆدا دەربخەم، تاکو لە هەموو زەویدا ناوم ڕابگەیەنرێت.﴾BSBBSB: For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
18. 18KSSکەواتە خودا بەزەیی بەوە دێتەوە کە دەیەوێت و ئەوەش دڵڕەق دەکات کە دەیەوێت.BSBBSB: Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden.
19. 19KSSئینجا پێم دەڵێی: «ئیتر بۆچی خودا هێشتا خەتابارمان دەکات؟ کێ دەتوانێت لە دژی خواستی ئەو ڕابوەستێت؟»BSBBSB: One of you will say to me, “Then why does God still find fault? For who can resist His will?”
20. 20KSSئەی مرۆڤ تۆ کێیت وەڵامی خودا دەدەیتەوە؟ ﴿ئایا دروستکراو بە دروستکەری دەڵێ: «بۆچی وا دروستت کردم؟»﴾BSBBSB: But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? Shall what is formed say to Him who formed it, “Why did You make me like this?”
21. 21KSSئایا گۆزەکەر دەسەڵاتی بەسەر قوڕدا نییە لە هەمان قوڕ دەفرێک بۆ ڕێزلێنان و یەکێکی دیکەش ئاسایی دروستبکات؟BSBBSB: Does not the potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for special occasions and another for common use?
22. 22KSSبەڵام چی دەبێت ئەگەر خودا بیەوێت تووڕەیی دەربخات و توانای خۆی ئاشکرا بکات، بە پشوودرێژی زۆرەوە بەرگەی ئەو دەفرانەی تووڕەیی بگرێت کە بۆ لەناوبردن ئامادە کراون؟BSBBSB: What if God, intending to show His wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the vessels of His wrath, prepared for destruction?
23. 23KSSچی دەبێت ئەگەر ئەمە بکات تاکو دەوڵەمەندی شکۆی خۆی لەسەر ئەو دەفرانەی بەزەیی ئاشکرا بکات کە پێشتر بۆ شکۆمەندی ئامادەی کردوون؟BSBBSB: What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the vessels of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory—
24. 24KSSلەناو ئەواندا ئێمەشی بانگکردووە، نەک تەنها لە جولەکە، بەڵکو لە نەتەوەکانیش.BSBBSB: including us, whom He has called not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles?
25. 25KSSوەک لە هۆشەعدا دەفەرموێ: ﴿ئەوەی گەلی من نییە ناوی دەنێم گەلی خۆم و ئەوەی خۆشەویست نییە بە خۆشەویست،﴾ هەروەهاBSBBSB: As He says in Hosea: “I will call them ‘My People’ who are not My people, and I will call her ‘My Beloved’ who is not My beloved,”
26. 26KSS﴿لەو شوێنەی پێیان گوترا: «ئێوە گەلی من نین،» لەوێدا «بە ڕۆڵەکانی خودای زیندوو ناودەبردرێن.»﴾BSBBSB: and, “It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’”
27. 27KSSئیشایاش دەربارەی ئیسرائیل هاوار دەکات: ﴿ئەگەر ژمارەی نەوەی ئیسرائیل بەقەد لمی دەریا بێت، تەنها پاشماوەیان ڕزگاری دەبێت،BSBBSB: Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites is like the sand of the sea, only the remnant will be saved.
28. 28KSSچونکە یەزدان بە خێرایی دوا بڕیاری خۆی بەسەر زەویدا جێبەجێ دەکات.﴾BSBBSB: For the Lord will carry out His sentence on the earth thoroughly and decisively.”
29. 29KSSوەک ئیشایا پێشتر گوتوویەتی: ﴿ئەگەر یەزدانی سوپاسالار نەوەی بۆ نەهێشتباینایەوە، وەک سەدۆممان لێ دەهات و لە عەمۆرا دەچووین.﴾BSBBSB: It is just as Isaiah foretold: “Unless the Lord of Hosts had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have resembled Gomorrah.”
30. 30KSSکەواتە چی بڵێین؟ ئەو نەتەوانەی بۆ بێتاوانبوون کۆششیان نەکرد، بێتاوانبوونیان بەدەستهێنا، ئەو بێتاوانبوونەی بە باوەڕە.BSBBSB: What then will we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;
31. 31KSSکەچی ئیسرائیل بە شەریعەتی تەورات کۆششیان کرد بۆ بێتاوانبوون، بەو شەریعەتە پێی نەگەیشتن.BSBBSB: but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it.
32. 32KSSبۆچی؟ چونکە بە باوەڕ نەبوو، بەڵکو لەسەر بنچینەی کردار بوو. ئەوسا بۆیان بوو بە کۆسپ و تەگەرە و ساتمەیان لێکرد،BSBBSB: Why not? Because their pursuit was not by faith, but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,
33. 33KSSهەروەک نووسراوە: ﴿ئەوەتا بەردێک بۆ کۆسپ لە سییۆن دادەنێم، تاشەبەردێکیش کە لێی بکەونە خوارەوە، بەڵام ئەوەی پشتی پێ ببەستێت شەرمەزار نابێت.﴾BSBBSB: as it is written: “See, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”
