Exodus 20 (CMNCBT)

1以下是上帝的訓示：And God spoke all these words:

2「我是你的上帝耶和華，曾把你從受奴役之地埃及領出來。“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

3「除我以外，你不可有別的神明。You shall have no other gods before Me.

4不可為自己雕刻神像，不可仿照天上、地上和地底下水中的任何形像造神像，You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in the heavens above, on the earth below, or in the waters beneath.

5不可跪拜它們，也不可供奉它們，因為我——你的上帝耶和華痛恨不貞，我必追討背棄我之人的罪，從父到子直到三四代。You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on their children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

6但那些愛我、遵守我誡命的人，我必以慈愛待他們，直到千代。but showing loving devotion to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.

7不可妄用你上帝耶和華的名，違者必被耶和華定罪。You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave anyone unpunished who takes His name in vain.

8要謹記安息日，守為聖日。Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

9你一週可勞碌工作六天，Six days you shall labor and do all your work,

10但第七天是你的上帝耶和華的安息日，這一天你和兒女、僕婢、牲畜及你那裡的外族人不可做任何工。but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God, on which you must not do any work—neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant or livestock, nor the foreigner within your gates.

11因為耶和華用六天創造了天地、海洋和其中的萬物，第七天便休息了，所以耶和華賜福安息日，把它定為聖日。For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, but on the seventh day He rested. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

12要孝敬父母，以便在你的上帝耶和華要賜給你的土地上享長壽。Honor your father and mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.

13不可殺人。You shall not murder.

14不可通姦。You shall not commit adultery.

15不可偷盜。You shall not steal.

16不可作偽證陷害人。You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17不可貪戀別人的房屋，不可貪戀別人的妻子、僕婢、牛驢或其他任何物品。」You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, or his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

18那時雷電交加，號角嘹亮，山上冒煙，百姓見此情景，都嚇得渾身顫抖，不敢挨近。When all the people witnessed the thunder and lightning, the sounding of the ram’s horn, and the mountain enveloped in smoke, they trembled and stood at a distance.

19他們對摩西說：「求你跟我們說話，我們必聽從。不要讓上帝直接跟我們說話，恐怕我們會喪命！」“Speak to us yourself and we will listen,” they said to Moses. “But do not let God speak to us, or we will die.”

20摩西對百姓說：「不要害怕，上帝降臨是要試驗你們，好讓你們時時敬畏祂，不致犯罪。」“Do not be afraid,” Moses replied. “For God has come to test you, so that the fear of Him may be before you, to keep you from sinning.”

21百姓都站得遠遠的，摩西獨自走進上帝所在的密雲中。And the people stood at a distance as Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.

22耶和華吩咐摩西對以色列百姓說：「既然你們已經親眼看見我從天上向你們說話，Then the LORD said to Moses, “This is what you are to tell the Israelites: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven.

23你們不可製造神像與我並立，不可為自己製造金銀神像。You are not to make any gods alongside Me; you are not to make for yourselves gods of silver or gold.

24你們要為我築一座土壇，把你們的牛羊獻在壇上作燔祭和平安祭。凡是我使自己的名被尊崇的地方，我會親臨那裡賜福給你們。You are to make for Me an altar of earth, and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and peace offerings, your sheep and goats and cattle. In every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you.

25你們若為我築石壇，不可用鑿刻的石頭，因為用工具鑿刻的石頭會玷污祭壇。Now if you make an altar of stones for Me, you must not build it with stones shaped by tools; for if you use a chisel on it, you will defile it.

26不可踩著臺階登我的祭壇，免得露出你們的下體。And you must not go up to My altar on steps, lest your nakedness be exposed on it.’
