To Your Name Be the Glory (Psalm 135:1–21)
2 CPDV Give glory to your mercy and your truth, lest the Gentiles should say, “Where is their God?” BSB BSB: Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?”
3 CPDV But our God is in heaven. All things whatsoever that he has willed, he has done. BSB BSB: Our God is in heaven; He does as He pleases.
5 CPDV They have mouths, and do not speak; they have eyes, and do not see. BSB BSB: They have mouths, but cannot speak; they have eyes, but cannot see;
6 CPDV They have ears, and do not hear; they have noses, and do not smell. BSB BSB: they have ears, but cannot hear; they have noses, but cannot smell;
7 CPDV They have hands, and do not feel; they have feet, and do not walk. Neither will they cry out with their throat. BSB BSB: they have hands, but cannot feel; they have feet, but cannot walk; they cannot even clear their throats.
8 CPDV Let those who make them become like them, along with all who trust in them. BSB BSB: Those who make them become like them, as do all who trust in them.
9 CPDV The house of Israel has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector. BSB BSB: O Israel, trust in the LORD! He is their help and shield.
10 CPDV The house of Aaron has hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector. BSB BSB: O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD! He is their help and shield.
11 CPDV Those who fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord. He is their helper and their protector. BSB BSB: You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their help and shield.
12 CPDV The Lord has been mindful of us, and he has blessed us. He has blessed the house of Israel. He has blessed the house of Aaron. BSB BSB: The LORD is mindful of us; He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron;
13 CPDV He has blessed all who fear the Lord, the small with the great. BSB BSB: He will bless those who fear the LORD—small and great alike.
14 CPDV May the Lord add blessings upon you: upon you, and upon your sons. BSB BSB: May the LORD give you increase, both you and your children.
15 CPDV Blessed are you by the Lord, who made heaven and earth. BSB BSB: May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
16 CPDV The heaven of heaven is for the Lord, but the earth he has given to the sons of men. BSB BSB: The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth He has given to mankind.
17 CPDV The dead will not praise you, Lord, and neither will all those who descend into Hell. BSB BSB: It is not the dead who praise the LORD, nor any who descend into silence.
18 CPDV But we who live will bless the Lord, from this time forward, and even forever. BSB BSB: But it is we who will bless the LORD, both now and forevermore. Hallelujah!
