The LORD Has Heard My Voice 1 CPDV Alleluia. I have loved: therefore, the Lord will heed the voice of my prayer. BSB BSB: I love the LORD, for He has heard my voice—my appeal for mercy.
2 CPDV For he has inclined his ear to me. And in my days, I will call upon him. BSB BSB: Because He has inclined His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.
3 CPDV The sorrows of death have surrounded me, and the perils of Hell have found me. I have found tribulation and sorrow. BSB BSB: The ropes of death entangled me; the anguish of Sheol overcame me; I was confronted by trouble and sorrow.
4 CPDV And so, I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, free my soul. BSB BSB: Then I called on the name of the LORD: “O LORD, deliver my soul!”
5 CPDV Merciful is the Lord, and just. And our God is compassionate. BSB BSB: The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
6 CPDV The Lord is the keeper of little ones. I was humbled, and he freed me. BSB BSB: The LORD preserves the simplehearted; I was helpless, and He saved me.
7 CPDV Turn again, my soul, to your rest. For the Lord has done good to you. BSB BSB: Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.
8 CPDV For he has rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from slipping. BSB BSB: For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
9 CPDV I will please the Lord in the land of the living. BSB BSB: I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 CPDV Alleluia. I had confidence, because of what I was saying, but then I was greatly humbled. BSB BSB: I believed, therefore I said, “I am greatly afflicted.”
11 CPDV I said in my excess, “Every man is a liar.” BSB BSB: In my alarm I said, “All men are liars!”
12 CPDV What shall I repay to the Lord, for all the things that he has repaid to me? BSB BSB: How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me?
13 CPDV I will take up the cup of salvation, and I will call upon the name of the Lord. BSB BSB: I will lift the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.
14 CPDV I will repay my vows to the Lord, in the sight of all his people. BSB BSB: I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people.
15 CPDV Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his holy ones. BSB BSB: Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.
16 CPDV O Lord, because I am your servant, your servant and the son of your handmaid, you have broken my bonds. BSB BSB: Truly, O LORD, I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have broken my bonds.
17 CPDV I will sacrifice to you the sacrifice of praise, and I will invoke the name of the Lord. BSB BSB: I will offer to You a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.
18 CPDV I will repay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people, BSB BSB: I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people,
19 CPDV in the courts of the house of the Lord, in your midst, O Jerusalem. BSB BSB: in the courts of the LORD’s house, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
