The LORD Is My Strength 1 CPDV A Psalm of David himself. To you, Lord, I will cry out. My God, do not be silent toward me. For if you remain silent toward me, I will become like those who descend into the pit. BSB BSB: Of David. To You, O LORD, I call; be not deaf to me, O my Rock. For if You remain silent, I will be like those descending to the Pit.
2 CPDV Hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication, when I pray to you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy temple. BSB BSB: Hear my cry for mercy when I call to You for help, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.
3 CPDV Do not draw me away together with sinners; and let me not perish with those who work iniquity, who speak peacefully to their neighbor, yet evils are in their hearts. BSB BSB: Do not drag me away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors while malice is in their hearts.
4 CPDV Give to them according to their works and according to the wickedness of their inventions. Assign to them according to the works of their hands. Repay them with their own retribution. BSB BSB: Repay them according to their deeds and for their works of evil. Repay them for what their hands have done; bring back on them what they deserve.
5 CPDV Since they have not understood the works of the Lord and the works of his hands, you will destroy them, and you will not build them up. BSB BSB: Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD or what His hands have done, He will tear them down and never rebuild them.
6 CPDV Blessed is the Lord, for he has heard the voice of my supplication. BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD, for He has heard my cry for mercy.
7 CPDV The Lord is my helper and my protector. In him, my heart has hoped and I have been helped. And my flesh has flourished again. And from my will, I shall confess to him. BSB BSB: The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I give thanks to Him with my song.
8 CPDV The Lord is the strength of his people and the protector of the salvation of his Christ. BSB BSB: The LORD is the strength of His people, a stronghold of salvation for His anointed.
9 CPDV O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance, and reign over them and exalt them, even unto eternity. BSB BSB: Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; shepherd them and carry them forever.
